Pavilion laptop DV4 disk recovery installation issue what would it be?

I formatted my HARD drive using a bootable floppy to CD (Dariks Boot and Nuke) - who has written on the C and possibly partition D (HP Recovery)... Everything went well with that.

HP DV4-1543sb

Original operating system was Win 7

Laptop 2 years

  1. I then inserted the factory purchased HP disk recovery and booted from it (2 discs and 1 extra drive in the game)
  2. Installation went well with disc 1 that it then prompted me to two disc I did. Subsequently requested the extra disk I inserted.
  3. Once it is installed, it restarted the PC automatically and then start configuring Windows 7 up or at least begun to load (Win 7 was also my original OS).
  4. Process is completed and it still rebooted itself.
  5. Laptop computer loaded a little Windows (an icon appeared) and then suddenly a message saying error has occurred could not finish loading Windows)- or something of this nature
  6. Tried to reinstall and got the same scenario.
  7. Once more I formatted the HARD drive with a full format which took 2 hours.
  8. All that above was repeated with the same results.

Any suggestions?

The BIOS may be corrupt and if yes, how can I install a fresh BIOS with no available Windows application.

Thank you.

Hello

I suggest to try the following workaround.

If you have (or can borrow) an installation disc Windows 7 at retail which is exactly the same version as your OEM installation - IE if your laptop comes with Windows 7 Home Premium 64 bit is the exact retail version, you would need.

If you do not access to the retail drives, you can create an installation disk yourself - just download good picture disc from the link below and use an app like ImgBurn to burn the ISO on a CD blank DVD - a guide on the use of ImgBurn to write that an ISO on a disc is here.  These Images are clean and a well respected source, however there are only limited versions available.

Windows 7 sp1-iso-official-32-bit-and-64-bit

Use the disk to perform the installation, enter the activation key Windows located on the underside of your laptop when requested and when the installation is completeuse the 'method of phone", described in detail in the link below to activate the operating system - this method supported by Microsoft and is popular with people who want just a new installation of Windows 7 without additional software load normally delivered with OEM installations.

Additional drivers, you may need to find from here.

Kind regards

  • Pavilion laptop g7 Image Recovery file copy fails

    Material: G-7 HP laptop

    Operating system: Windows 8

I bought a laptop Pavilion g7 in December 2012.  The 1 TB HARD disk provided with the laptop started to go bad on me.  After several attempts to "self-repair system" (which didn't) I bought a HD 1 TB Seagate SSHD replacement.  Given that I had no Windows 8 recovery disks, I contacted HP, paid for and sent them to me.

So now I have a new SSHD, new W8 recovery discs and my laptop.  I replaced the HD and the recovery process according to the instructions of the paper that came with the disc.

4 percent (in the "Copying files needed for the recovery of the phase of hard drive"), I get an error message:

    Reducer (the error message title)

    Copy the file fails

    From: D:/PRELOAD/votes.14. STORMWATER MANAGEMENT

    To: C:/RM/Image/votes.14. STORMWATER MANAGEMENT

    Press OK to retry.

Obviously since I post this topic simply by pressing "OK to retry" did not work.  I turned off the laptop computer and restarted the process of recovery.  I had the same error at the same point above.

I've read a few other BBs HP and see what people have done this experiment with various laptops, W7 and W8, posted the same question and had useful people respond by posting links and possible corrections.  I clicked on the links, but see not all what actually helps me 1) explain why I get this error message. and (2) what should I do to fix it.

Appreciate any help anyone can provide, but please break it down Barney style as I am not a computer person.  Seriously, don't joke not on that - I'm weak in terms of technology.

    I can't understand what I'm doing wrong.

    Hello

    The first thing I want you to do is make sure the hard drive is working to do this, follow these steps;

    1 turn on the computer

    2. Select f2 for system diagnostics

    3. Select check disk hard, fast

What is the result of this test?

If this test passes means that it is likley to be the CD, I answered several questions like this one, where in fact the disks are corrupt so my Adviser is if your drive hard test passes contact HP and ask them to send a new set of replacement drives for unfortunately it seems problem common were disks do not work.

  • Computer Pavilion laptop 15-n208tx: recovery

I have not installed the external drive recovery partition, because my brother knew about it. Now how can install the external disk recovery partition.

Hi, there are two simple ways, you can create recovery media.

Method 1: Use HP recovery manager in windows to create system recovery discs to see how to complete this process click here for windows 8 or here windows 7 for HP support video

Method 2: Order the recovery of HP here media

These two will do almost the same as the la partition partition recovery, hope this helps

  • Finalis A300D - 16 c - recovery disk and installation issues

    Help

I just bought a laptop Equim A300D - 16 c three days ago. I have install the Toshiba face recognition software, then began the system but the software won t recognize my face (mess.: recognition failed) perhaps because it was kind of dark, but I was connected with a black screen with a unique windows Explorer.

I tried to use this only way to move to the system restore, but the same recognition problem happens. I then tried the recovery disk Creator who alone DVD engraved and used only 388 MB of available space (I think it was supposed to be 2 DVD discs). However, when I used the recovery utility, it reformatted my hard drive and stops in the Middle invites me to insert the medium recovery disc 1.
I restarted which brings the same thing and the operating system is already gone.

I installed windows Vista Ultimate and I saw then the record of recovery of HARD drive on the second partition with 437 MB size. Please what can I do as I knew that I must have made a mistake by installing a new operating system?

I want to recover the operating system, drivers and software as it is when I just finished the preinstallation (factory settings). Thank you in advance.

Now when I write this comment, I create recovery DVD on brother's new Satellite A300-1HP and now the second DVD is inside and the recovery disc creator fantastic works.
I really don't understand what you did wrong.

Anyway, the original recovery image is finished now and if you need a Toshiba recovery media you must order it. Just follow the link given by Sascha.

  • HP Envy 700-327C: walk of recovery materials (D); What would they

Believe it is 64 bit, but not sure if that makes a difference. It's Windows 10

Content of the recovery disc (D) seems to be ALL the files that are located on drive C with the exception of the info Office more a section marked or named "Recovery". Is it the way it is supposed to be?

The reason why I ask this is that I saw a question in a forum of Support HP indicating "Recovery Drive Full - new HP Envy Windows 10" and the answer was - "If your recovery disk is displayed as having a drive letter, which could be the source of the problem, as there may be a default download setting (as in a browser you use) which writes that animate its temporary files instead of disk. OS. " Then there were know get into disk management to see if the volume of recovery has a drive letter (D) and if so, how to erase it.

My d drive recovery - is not complete; It shows 1.89 GB free of 15.4 GB - (I'm not sure of what he showed when the PC has been implemented) and, as noted above, has all the files that are located on drive C with the exception of office. When I go to disk management the recovery volume shows the drive letter D. So delete it or not? Must drive D materials reproduce what's on drive C as described. Delete "D" drive Mgmt will create problems?

    Thanks for yoour help

    @OPAMA, welcome to the forum.

The D: partition is only recovery files.  There should be no other data on it.  However, that said, if you did the recovery media when you bought the computer and are positive that it works, you can delete the D: partition.  Normally I leave just to be sure.  Is the best solution to your problem, check which drive is when you save the data.  In addition, you can remove all the data that are the same as on the C: drive.

  • Ive just restored my laptop from the disk recovery, and commissioning I get an error 8007045 B code, anyone have any help? __

think that it pretty much says it all in the title!

    Hi legar72,

    1. you have made a full recovery system on the laptop using the recovery disk?

The error code - 8007045B is associated with failure to install.

If you have used the system recovery disk provided by the laptop manufacturer to perform a system recovery.

You will need to contact the manufacturer of the laptop computer for more information about the installation failure.

    I hope this helps!

  • HP pavilion p6604f Windows 7 Home Premium and the disk recovery.

Hi, my first time here. First of all, I'm in my late 70s and not very computer.  My computer crashed during an update. So in the end I bit the big one and inserted my recovery disc I made 2 years earlier, when I bought the machine.  Problem is the recovery disk is corrupted badly and contains a lot of bad things in my previous Pavilion.

What I want to know: is it possible to get a recovery clean disk/s for this HP computer?

Any help much appreciated.  THX eyejayem

Here are the specifications of your desktop HP Pavilion p6604f. HP recovery discs can be ordered directly from HP or third-party ComputerSurgeons.com.

Even if it is very slow, you must make a return upwards before the race "repair disk". The risk of data loss is minimal, but do it anyway: Save and run to repair the disk.

As for what it implies - most of the time nothing more than simply sitting and waiting to do his thing.

You will need a bigger c. For everything that you can move there will be 10 things, you can't. Software installation puts the huge amounts of information in the Windows Installer on C database.
