I'm ready to download Windows 10, but I have about 90 updates for Windows 7 in the meantime. Do I have to download all the updates of Windows 7 first, or can I just download Win 10?

    Hello:

As long as you have the updates required to install W10, you can proceed.

If you receive notification to download W10 on your PC now from windows update, then you have the required updates.

As long as you have the SP1, you don't even have to worrry about the updates for W7 if you do the installation of W7 DVD from the link below and run the DVD on the desktop windows to upgrade to W10.

You want the tool of creation of media from the link below.

  • Deleted some files in the windows directory a few reasons, after restarting the system. showing a victim of COUNTERFEIT windows. How to reactivate my windows?

    Hi all

I bought Lenovo laptop 10 months before staple. Today in my system, a malicious program "Progressive Protection system" is automatically installed. As a result, I searched the Internet and deleted some files in windows directory in C drive. Now after restarting the system, it's popping up a message stating "you are a victim of counterfeit windows. Even I have validated my window in internet with options available always is saying that my window is not genuine. Don't know how to turn it back on. If someone can help with this problem?

I suspect that the problem is that the malware is still present - a repair installation will not get rid of it.

    @Prad_121

Please follow the directions for the RDO and run the analysis offline so you can - at least, so we can be reasonably sure that the machine is free of malware.

Once completed, please post a new report MGADiag.

Windows Update automatically installs new versions of Synaptics. • Windows hangs at the splash screen (Windows startup screen), but works after restart

I encountered this problem recently. On my Dell XPS M1530, when I turn on the laptop after a few hours, windows gets stuck at the start-up screen. I restart it once, and once again, it gets stuck on the start screen. But when I restart twice, windows starts successfully.

When I turned off the computer and launch until it is physically hot, then windows starts successfully. But when I start the computer after his East become physically cold to room temperature, again the problem starts. I've never seen this kind of problem never or don't want to believe that windows or equipment can be affected by temperatures. It's almost as if windows starts up when the laptop is pretty hot.

Anyone any idea what the problem is?

    Hello

As you experience the same in Safe Mode, it may be the case of a faulty hardware or a damaged system file. However, we can run a Microsoft Fix itfirst to troubleshoot your Windows system performance and restart your device after execution of this. If the problem persists, we can also try the System File Checker tool to repair missing or corrupted system files. After execution of the auditor of the files System tool you will see the result, if there is a file system damaged the cause of the problem.

If there is no corrupted files, it is indeed a defective hardware, and we ask you to contact your manufacturer to resolve the problem suggests. Please see this link for manufacturer support website for your.

Note: you must enter correctly on your desktop to run the Microsoft it Fix tool and auditor of the files System tool.

  • Cannot start Windows on first boot (works after restart)

I recently removed the dust in the housing using a bellows, at the end of which I had unplugged and removed by the drive hard and video card. After reinserting the components and start the computer, I heard a continuous beep sound while the screen remains dark. After the reopening of the case I noticed that I forgot to plug a wire into the video card (PCI I think) I plugged. After you start the computer again once it wasn't a beep more and I got the video. However, Windows does not load on first boot more. He will go as far that the loading screen of the bar after which I get a 'no signal' and the computer restarts. I will get a screen with the message that Windows cannot start, probably due to software or change of material and a number of options. When I choose to start windows normally it will mostly start normally (sometimes I need to repeat the process) and I can use the computer normally (I use it now). A reboot, the computer has been shutdown very slowly and later wouldn't pass the default splash screen, but it has not reoccured.
Another small issue, I'll have is a regular of the screen flicker.

I used the drive control to the start of several times. I tried to address this problem by starting the computer with the Vista installation disc and select Repair, but I was not allowed to fix the menu says there where no problem. I reinstalled Windows (and I can't be fully updated all the drivers again, hance perhaps the flicker of the screen?), but to no avail. The closest thing I've met on the internet who resembled my problem was this: http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index?qid=1006011905618 so, I replaced the BIOS battery, which once again changed nothing (BIOS holds settings BTW). In fact, once I'm on Windows I would seem to have a computer that works very well. The issue doesn't bother me so much if I wasn't worried, that it could get worse.

I have Vista 32 bit, Intel E6750 CPU, card mother Gigabyte GA-P35-DS3, Geforce 8800 GTS 320 MB video card, 2 GB of RAM, Samsung 400 GB HD Vista has been entirely updated (including SP2).

    Hi CeCoRM,

I suggest physically wipe you the hard drive again by blowing air earlier could have pushed the dust particles away on the inside.

I would recommend also you post your question in the TechNet forums for assistance.

    Hope the helps of information.

    you did it.

My thoughts are that it is a driver problem. Try to update your drivers, and then stop the updated driver in Windows Updates.

    -----------------------------------------

This is my generic how updates of appropriate driver:

For drivers, visit manufacturer of emergency system and of the manufacturer of the device that are the most common.
Control Panel - Device Manager - Display Adapter - note the brand and complete model of your
video card - double - tab of the driver - write version information. Now click on UPdate Driver (this
cannot do anything as MS is far behind the certification of drivers) - then do a right click - Uninstall - REBOOT
This will refresh the driver stack.

Repeat this for network - card (NIC), Wifi network, sound, mouse, and keyboard if 3rd party with their
own the software and drivers and all other main drivers that you have.

Now go to the site of the manufacturer of system (Dell, HP, Toshiba as examples) (restoration) and then of the manufacturer of the device
(Realtek, Intel, Nvidia, ATI, for example) and get their latest versions. (Look for the BIOS, Chipset and software)
updates on the site of the manufacturer of the system here.)

Download - SAVE - go to where you put them - right click - RUN AD ADMIN - REBOOT after each installation.

Always check in the Device Manager - tab drivers version you install actually shows up. This
because some restore drivers before the most recent is installed (particularly that audio drivers) so install a
pilot - reboot - check that it is installed and repeat if necessary.

Repeat to the manufacturers - BTW on device at the DO NOT RUN THEIR SCANNER - manually check by model.

Look at the sites of the manufacturer for drivers - and the manufacturer of the device manually.

If you update the drivers manually, then it's a good idea to disable the facilities of driver in the Windows updates,
This leaves ONE of Windows updates, but it will not install the drivers who are generally older and cause
questions. If updates offers a new driver and then hide it (right click on it) and then go look for new ones
    manually if you wish.
