  I got the blue screen now well documented after windows xp update. I'm away on business and so unable to make my records at home. My question is without the disk is there a way I can fix it the laptop? Microsoft took 3 days to order discs and now tell me it might take 7 to 10 days so that they arrive.   I get a page_fault_in_nonpaged_area blue screen after Windows update yesterday. To do this, that every time I try to start the system.

  Microsoft is normally far behind in the drivers

• Satellite U300-159 - blue screen after Windows 7 installation

  Satellite U300-159. I did a clean install of Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit. Since the upgrade, it has blue screen every time you start after approx. 1 min. blue screen * STOP: 0x000000f4. The computer restarts it self after a while.

  I checked memory with 2 different programs. No errors. HARD drive checked - no error.

  All, I came across this thread, after having the same problem (constant BSOD after Vista SP2) installed.  The fix referenced by MS that contains a placeholder file.  However, this most recent patch http://support.microsoft.com/kb/975163/ contains even more recent versions of all the files in question.

  For this installation, I went to safe mode and disabled the wireless network card.  I copied the fix of a usbstick on the desktop.  After the reboot of the machine was stable enough to install this fix (before it would break before the fix might get installed).  After the restart, yet once again, I have reactivated the wireless card.

  The system seems to be stable again (its place for over an hour now, the previous record was 5 minutes approximately from SP2)
