My magic mouse 2 charge while my iMac is in sleep?

I received a rechargeable Magic Mouse with my iMac and I wonder if it will load into memory if the computer is in sleep?

It should do.  Here is the document from Apple on the power to the USB ports.

There is no reason why the iMac should not be able to use a USB mouse. With the mouse connected to the computer off the computer tower and turn it back on. Now it doesn't recognize the mouse? If this is not the case, try a SMC reset.

  • Click on the magic mouse no longer works on iMac

    Hey,.

Today my mouse Apple Magic click stopped working on the iMac.

I can move the cursor, but do not click on anything - right/left click does not work. Also, no swipe gestures don't work.

The mouse batteries are fine, no new hardware has been installed, no secondary magic mouses.

The battery settings page options are ok.

I've tried disconnecting bluetooth mouse service and the pair, but still nothing.

Also tried cmd + alt + p + r for restart, but nothing.

What could be the problem? Is it software or hardware related?

  • Share the Magic Mouse 2 without a receipt at the Apple Store?

For my 15th birthday of work my employer allowed me to select a few gifts from our Department order IT online at their provider (CEP).

One of the gifts was a Magic Mouse 2. While I hate the ergonomics of it, I learned to love features scrolling/hit to swipe. But a big problem-

Battery pours into the 2 or 3 days of use and takes about 12 hours to recharge fully.

It's my computer (I use a Macbook Pro 15 "2014, latest version of OS X, linked to a Dell 4 k screen). Because I work remotely and CEP return by my employer service COMPUTER that would be more hassle that it is worthwhile (shipping of the mouse to them, waiting, etc.), I was wondering if I brought to the Apple Store would they look, confirm the battery delivers (by plugging and seeing how slowly it charges) and replace? Or would I need to get a receipt?

First make a phone call to your local Apple store or better yet call and ask them how they want to get.  Take the mouse with you.

They should help, as I'm sure you approach them well.    They may want to a letter from the buyer (your employer) to show that you have in its possession that deserves it.    Material, the mouse has a guarantee that may be served by any Apple store, but this has a lot of warnings from 12 months.

A face to face conversation will probably be your best course of action.

  • Magic Mouse 2 keeps losing connection

Hi, I use an iMac nine 5 k, v10.11.5 El Capitan

Whenever I use the mouse will randomly lose connection for about 5-10 seconds and then reconnect. It also happens with the keyboard sometimes. More than 90% battery levels

Can I do about it? It really disrupts my workflow.

    Thank you

    Hello miles M.

I'll try to answer your question, but I'll have to make some assumptions.   Unlike many, you have correctly filled out your profile and it helps.

For example;  I see that in addition to the MacBook Pro (running El Cap), you have an iMac (running El Cap) and a Yosemite iMac running.   They are all in the same room a lot of the time, like when your problem occurs?   Then, the mice.   At least one must be Magic Mouse 2, but it will be Magic Mouse 1.   They are close together?   If one of the above is true, it is most likely that you have an interference problem.   And where the mouse is the problem my assumption is the Magic Mouse 2.

The first thing to do is to try to isolate the Magic Mouse the part 1.   Turn off the iMac of Yosemite loaded, remove any tablets Wacom and pens and other and tested of the Magic Mouse 2 with the new iMac.

Now, my imagination is not exact, so where things are differently, let me know so that we can talk our way through it.

  • Magic mouse - no lights?

I just bought the magic mouse2 and I have an IMAC of 2012.

I plugged in the cable of the lightning of the magic mouse and turned on (and it is plugged in a few hours) and theres still no light or anything?

I updated my computer rebooted, used various lightning cables but nothing seems to make the charge of the mouse or light in anyway?  This mouse is defective?  I've never had problems connecting the touchpad or keyboard before.

    Thanks for any help

You say that you have updated your system... what version do you have now.  (It should be 10.11.3 El Capitan)

If you have an Apple store in the neighborhood, take it they test it on place and replace if necessary.

  • I have most of the software UTD and the magic mouse 2.  I continue to have these episodes where Safari zoomed spontaneously and I can't cancel it without hitting the back button of the browser.  Did someone came across this?

On an IMac 27 "OS is El Capitan 10.11.2 Magic Mouse 2, Safari 9.0.2

Seen the episodes while in Safari, it suddenly zoomed in and let even me not to scroll the page.  I have to click on the back button to cancel it. It seems to happen spontaneously, but my hand is still physically on the mouse, just I don't do anything with or to the mouse.  Seems to be developed after I went to the Magic Mouse 2.  Any ideas?

Please, open the mouse in system preferences and uncheck that smart zoom.

  • the magic mouse disconnects regularly

Since last week my Magic Mouse is losing connection with my iMac (OS X Sierra) pretty regularly--several times each hour, sometimes more often - the connection is only lost for 5-10 seconds, but it's a lot of time when you're trying to work. Anyone else had this problem and had been able to find a solution?

If your Magic Mouse is version 1 (with batteries), it won't be to fully integrate with Sierra.   You can buy Magic Mouse 2 for that.   Because all future operating systems need, you may as well buy now.

  • the magic Mouse loses connection

I have an iMac 21.5 "running 10.11.6. Recently, I added a to an existing stereo system bluetooth connectivity so I could broadcast on the system. By the way since then I lose my connection to the mouse. I get "connection lost" notification even if the mouse is sitting idle without hands even near him. I tried the suggested pieces of paper, battery replacement and any other thing, I found displayed. Nothing works. As I was typing that I got the message several times, and I'm not even using the mouse! I have another computer in another location and plan to try to see if the problem changes switching. I suspected that the additional bluetooth device could be the culprit, but I tried to unplug and had the same results. It is not a problem with another computer running the same operating system, even if a year or two older hardware. The intermittent mouse problem existed before, but I've lived with him because he doesn't seem to be that bad. Now, I have moved and am in an apartment complex and wonder if there is an interference cause me pain. I do not know to replace the mouse by a non Apple device can solve the problem or if I need to use a WIRED one remedy! The keyboard has never given me problems and with the exception of the low battery notification, it has worked perfectly.

Open a Finder window. In the Finder menu bar, click go > go to folder

Type or copy paste the following text:

    / Library/Preferences/com. Apple.Bluetooth.plist

Click OK, and then place the com.apple.Bluetooth.plist file in the trash.
