How to tell when my magic mouse 2 is finished charging

I just got a new iMac with a magical mouse 2 have a battery with a lightning cable and El Capitan.  How do I know if it's charge and how do I know when it is finished filling?

If you go to System Preferences, you can see the level of support under the mouse.  Obviously, you will have to unplug the mouse from the lightning to go there and check cable.

  • How do you know when the 2 magic mouse battery is charged?

Just read this but its detail without recharging the battery in your Apple accessory

Open BT preferences. Click on the box below to display the menu bar item. When you select the item of menu bar for BT, it will display the devices in bold. Move the mouse over the entrance of MM2. It displays a small box in which the charge level is displayed.

If you leave the mouse connected to the cable to charge from one day to the next, then the mouse will be fully charged at the time where use you it the next day. That's what I usually do because you can not use the mouse while it loads.

    Hi, lindafromcleveland!

I'm really glad to hear you have a new Magic Mouse 2! It's a great device, and I know you will love. I understand you may have some trouble getting it implemented, however. I have some information that should help you.

First of all, take a look on the article in the link below to ensure that your Mac meets the system requirements for using a Magic Mouse 2:

Identify your wireless Apple keyboard or trackpad mouse

Under the section "Identify your device and requirements", this information is provided to the Magic Mouse 2:

    Magic Mouse 2

    • Lightning connector, built-in battery
    • Requires OS X v10.11 or later version

If you are not running OS X 10.11 (El Capitan) or later version, you will need to update your software OS X before being able to use the Magic Mouse 2. You can use the link below to help to update if you need to.

Update the software on your Mac

Once you are on OS X 10.11, you can use the following article to configure the mouse Magic 2.

  • How can I Zoom smoothly with a Magic Mouse in photoshop?

    Hello.

I never use normal mice and zoom has never been a problem. I have always used the scroll to zoom and everything was fine and dandy. But later yesterday my Logitech mouse broke and I upgraded to an Apple Magic Mouse. Everything was great until I opened Photoshop and try to zoom. The scroll to zoom is horribly broken, he jumps out of tiny super zoom to huge, it is impossible to make a precise, smooth zoom.

I use the latest version of PS on a Macbook Pro with OS X 10.8.4 of the retina.

I'd appreciate any help, I work with a lot of very large documents, and my workflow has been seriously slowed down because of this.

Ditto. Zoom chinless is a much more pleasant to navigate IMO way.

  • Magic mouse "summary."

Only for a few days my Magic Mouse became 'summary' or incompatible with the follow-up.

I did the "tape/paper" difficulty on batteries, so he no longer has the disconnection problem (at least not often).

However, it is extremely difficult to simply move the mouse around the screen the speed is not all consistent (going from slow to fast... you have to fight so he can point more precisely what either).

I tried cleaning the sensor... no change.

    Ideas... ?

I see that you are on El Capitan (and 10.11.3, not the highest level).  And that is your problem.   You are using a version of Magic Mouse 1 with the latest OS.

El Capitan requires 2 magic mouse work properly.  Magic mouse 1 will give you a small percentage of what you need, but for full functionality, you need Magic Mouse 2.

I know that Apple does not tell you this when you were tempted to upgrade, but the new mouse has been designed to work with the new operating system and the operating systems that will follow, such as the Sierra, coming in the fall.

  • Magic Mouse connected but no display on screen pointer

Just pass on my iMac and Magic Mouse and not even connected. Mouse as connected but shows there is no pointer arrow on the screen. Please notify. If the mouse is broken how can I shut down the computer?

What happens when you connect a USB mouse, if you don't please borrow or buy one, they are very cheap.

  • Magic Mouse 2 will not scroll

I just bought a new mouse Magic Mouse, this one is 2 mm.

It took some doing to connect, but I can't scroll. In the mouse system prefs, I followed the speed and double-click speed, but no display option to put in place the scroll feature that I had in my old mouse Magic (from to 2014).

Under Bluetooth in my control over the office bar, it says my mouse is connected, but the icon looks like my old wired mouse with little follow-up of the button. (Screenshot attached) Note that I had to use in the last days (the former wired one) because I'm working on my desktop computer and without the new 2 MM working group, I had to have a way of preferences and restart, etc.

Now to the preferences of the mouse... If I'm in the mouse preferences and click Set Up mouse Bluetooth, the screen following search search and no indication 'no mouse found.' (Screen attached)

Either way, I use OS 10.10.4. I saw a few notes that the 2 MM needs El Capitan to work properly online. But I dare not updated to El Capitan because I am owner of a graphic design company and I've seen too many indications that my InDesign CC will be a lot of conflicts with El Capitan, or doesn't work at all.

Very frustrating. Please note I've owned Macs since 1991 and I have never come across anything quite like this. I would have my ability to scroll back!

    Thank you all,

    Susan

Susan, I hate to say this, but Magic Mouse 2 is for the El Capitan.  It says so on the box.   It will only work as designed when using this OS.   If you need to put away until you can use the £l Capitan and buy one of the MM! mouse or other mark to meet your current needs.     I don't know how you must feel, but the BONE El Capitan is far ahead of his predecessors and is almost certainly intended to define the style in a certain way in the future.  This is why it was necessary to design a mouse to meet some of the unique qualities of El Capitan in preparing for subsequent updates.   He had to go back some time.

  • Magic Mouse 2 connect only with basic functions

I bought a new mouse Magic 2 within 5 years, one packed and thought the option cooldown better to replace the batteries. He connects to his macbook with bluetooth fine but only has the basic movement and click functions, properties of the mouse only shows base none of the magic mouse functions. I connect to my macbook, and all right, slide, tap twice etc. Question is how to operate on the other macbook when its old mouse was working well until he fell.

The other Macbook on El Capitan, the Magic Mouse 2 is compatible with El Capitan and beyond.
