My new Sony Vaio PC does not recognize my Sony Handycam DCR-HC19E model. I have no installation CD. How can I connect two devices, please?

Previously, I had a Fujitsu Amilo PC operating Windows XP Professional. I had no problem with these 2 devices of connection. Now, I bought a Sony Vaio PC

Windows 7 Home Premium and it can not recognize my webcam. I bought a cable iLink (hama), but without success.

What can I do, please?

Hello

Method 1.

Connect the device, run the hardware and devices Troubleshooter and check if that helps.

To open the Troubleshoot utility equipment follow the given link:

http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows7/open-the-hardware-and-devices-Troubleshooter

You can also check the updates available for your computer.

Method 2.

Install a USB device: http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows7/install-a-USB-device

Refer.

You need to contact Sony support to get the disc because it contains software of camcorder. You should also check the camcorder manual as it contains instructions to enable the USB setting in the camera for it to get detected in Windows 7 computer.

The KB article for the Sony camcorder is:

Hope this information is useful.
