My page search box start FF shows only 'eBay '. I can't remove it.
Well, my question little sums up the problem that the cursor blinks, but it won't react to go back or remove. In order to access all the internet features, I have to open another tab.
What page to use as home page?
Is this the topic: home page or a web page on the internet?

I can not clear the list of suggestions from the opening page search box
I type a search query into the opening of the page below search box I see a list of previous searches that start with the same letter. Over time this list obviously becomes greater.
I don't see any way clear to clear the entries or by disabling the entries stored in this memory. If you want to delete the data stored in a drop-down list, and then use the following steps:
- Click on the (empty) input field on the web page to open the drop-down list
- Select an entry in the drop-down list
- Press the DELETE key (on a Mac: shift + delete) to remove it.

Maybe that's two questions. Both pooped upward with a recent update. I do not have yahoo extensions or add-ons installed.
(a) I type a URL in the navigation bar (NOT the search box), and all of these 'useful' pop-up suggestions. Do stop.
(b) I type wrong address in the navigation bar (NOT the search box) and I get a Yahoo to "links" page Do stop.
Thank you. I have the screenshots I can post too.
Found the solution. It's an add-on: uTorrentControl3 by conduit. I've disabled to check and uninstalled then when I saw it was the question.

When I open a new tab, I no longer get a blank page. Instead, this link opens automatically.
Search.conduit.com/?CTID=CT3319766 & octid = EB_ORIGINAL_CTID & SearchSource = 69 & CUI = & SSPV = & Lay = 1 & UM = 2 & UP = SPBE0988F4-A2BC-4595-B005-51E70B9E0B94
I have nothing to make this change and I do not recognize. I fear that my computer may have a virus, so I will do a scan.
How can I remove the link above and stop appearing when I open a new tab? I want just a blank page.I've seen a shield of unknown virus type icon in my system tray, so I toss it and he said 'Protect research.' I didn't install myself, I install a program must have given me a virus. Research Protect is made by Conduit. I uninstalled search shelter in my control panel and delete the search folder protect program (x 86). Open Firefox and open a new tab.
Research conducted is not more.
I didn't know it was a virus all this time. Thank you for your comments, everyone! I think I took care of him.

Computer does not start properly, shows only a black screen
When I turn on my computer, my home page is not upward. She's just standing on a black page. Someone can help me. It also only allows me to reset or clean.
Hello
No saving necessary data and re-installing Windows Vista might be the best option, but here
are a few others. You can save your files by putting the drive in another computer as a 2nd disk (best) or external
Drive USB enclosure and then backup to removable media such as CD, DVD or other USB drives.
Of course a real store of the computer or the manufacturer of your system can help to recover the files.Or you can use a boot Ubuntu CD to back up data.
Use Ubuntu Live CD to backup files from your Windows computer dead

You can access Mode safe? Repeatedly press F8 as you start? If yes you can try Control Panel - device
Manager - graphics card - Double click on - driver tab - click on UPDATE driver - then right click

ALT + DELETE - Manager tasks and tab process EXPLORER.exe and COMPLETE the PROCESS on this subject - and then
on the Applications tab - lower right - new task - type in EXPLORER.exe. Safe mode is available by
repeatedly tapping F8 as you start. CTRL + SHIFT + ESC also begins the Task Manager.First check this thread in case it is simple and if not to come back to this thread.
Black screen problems are extremely difficult to repair and all patch is usually on a base hit or miss.
That there is no information on a black screen as it is on a blue screen just adds to the
Difficulty. Often using a restore point or Startup Repair will have no effect. You can try a

This applies to all links and anything in this field unless it falls below, then I can click on it. The only thing that seems to get around it, is on a bar at the top of a Web search, I can click and type, but there is no text cursor.
This problem occurs even when I scroll down, the same area of a Web site can be clicked, because of this problem.
This does not affect the toolbars, bookmarks, etc..
Recently, the Yahoo toolbar and the extension of Babylon have been reported because of this problem. They appear to overlap invisibly on the top of the display of the web page. You have both installed, uninstall or disable them / it or see if an update is available that solves the problem.

I downloaded ZoneAlarm firewall. There you install Chrome and choose its search engine when you download. I had heard that it was removed easily later. I have reset Google in the search bar upper at right.
Now Firefox starts OK, but every time I will use a tab to open another search ZoneAlarm window is in the address bar and in the area of research of the Center, and Google search is in the top right search bar. How can I get rid of all ZoneAlarm search everywhere?I have the latest version of Firefox and Windows 8.1.
You can check if you have the search engine of ZoneAlarm file in the browser\searchplugins folder in the Firefox program or in the searchplugins folder in the Firefox profile folder.
You can use this button to go to the Firefox profile folder currently in use:
- Help > troubleshooting information > profile directory: see file (Linux: open the directory;) Mac: View in the Finder)
You can delete the search.json file and the possible search - metadata.json and the search.sqlite files in the profile folder of Firefox to reset the default search engines.
Firefox will rebuild the file search.json from the default search engines in the "browser\searchplugins" folder in the program of Firefox and the searchplugins folder in the Firefox profile folder.

Sidebar of history began to show today. I can't remove it
Today, every time I raise Firefox as my home page, the sidebar of history appears. I can uncheck, but next time I load the home page as it appears. My privacy setting is to never remember history. How can I avoid having to use the 'x' or uncheck the box to close? As I said, this just started this afternoon.
If you use Firefox in private browsing mode automatic, it is possible that Firefox is not to remember the change of the closing of the sidebar.
Since the sidebar to open is not the behavior by default, maybe you could eliminate the problem by removing a settings file that stores the positions of windows and other user interface data. If you want to try, here's how:
Open the settings folder (AKA Firefox profile) current Firefox help
- button "3-bar" menu > "?" button > troubleshooting information
- (menu bar) Help > troubleshooting information
- type or paste everything: in the address bar and press Enter
In the first table of the page, click on the view file"" button. This should launch a new window that lists the various files and folders in Windows Explorer.
Leave this window open, switch back to Firefox and output, either:
- "3-bar" menu button > button "power".
- (menu bar) File > Exit
Pause while Firefox finishing its cleanup, then rename xulstore.json to something like xulstore.old. If you see a file named localstore.rdf, rename this to localstore.old.
Launch Firefox back up again. The sidebar is closed?
