My Panorama button is missing and Ctrl + E is ignored. 4.0B10

By the subject line. Before my last reboot of the system, the Panorama was very good. The feature is now gone - as well as of all tabs open, represented by the other groups of Panorama I had!

I barely noticed the change, but maybe it happened earlier, after the restart, Firefox updated itself. But I may be wrong on the exact moment and, in fact, I think I'VE used it since the last restart.

Honestly can't think of anything that either I did it to make it go. Outgoing and reformulating FF is not restore it. Good function, Miss not bad. And open tabs that have been lost!

Try {Ctrl + Shift + E} for keyboard control.

Look in the Palette to customize to see if the button is there.

Dells have generally 3 partition boot disks:

    • A hidden Dell utility Partition
    • The Partition of the OS (Windows)
    • A hidden the Dell PC Restore Partition

    One of you is afflicted.

Have you had a power failure these days?

This symptom of NTLDR missing is quite common

It could be that the file is really missing, or it could be that XP don't "find" it because the file system is damaged and you must simply run a chkdsk/r from the XP Recovery Console.

If you have no real XP bootable installation CD to enter the Recovery Console, look in the tutorials section for how to make a bootable CD from the Console of the Recovery XP (no XP media required).

Then use the Recovery Console to verify the integrity of your file system.

You can run "fixboot" from the XP Recovery Console CD.

You DO NOT need to run "fixmbr" However for who could destroy scores of Dell and just leave you with a XP partition.

Check out the tutorial describing the question "NTLDR is missing", and then apply these methods of troubleshooting and resolution first.

Maybe someday the dialog box 'ask a question' forums XP will ask these questions automatically when a new thread is started so I don't have to ask every time.  It might even be possible to solve a problem in a single response when enough information is provided.

Please provide additional information on your system:

What is your Version of XP and the Service Pack?

Describe your current antivirus and software anti malware situation: McAfee, Symantec, Norton, Spybot, AVG, Avira!, MSE, Panda, Trend Micro, CA, Defender, ZoneAlarm, PC Tools, Comodo, etc..

The question was preceded by a loss of power, aborted reboot or abnormal termination?  (this includes the plug pulling, buttons power, remove the battery, etc.)

The afflicted system has a CD/DVD drive work?

You have a true bootable XP installation CD (it is not the same as any recovery CD provided with your system)?

If the system works, what do you think might have changed since the last time it did not work properly?

The installation process went well until I was asked to choose which hard drive, I tried to install Vista on. I tried to format my hard drive to this screen, I was working with Vista 32 bit before that and saw no need to divide my two work machine with two separate versions of the same operating system. After formatting the hard drive, I have been unable to click on the 'next' button and engage the next step of the installation process. There was a message is displayed to the bottom of the window, as well tell a word about the installation of a machine already running windows. I would be happy to provide further information to the topic of my problems during this step, but my problems do not stop here.

After you notice the message described above and do not get farther in attempts to install later, I decided to try to reinstall the 32-bit version of Vista and then maybe try to upgrade to 64-bit. However when I put in the CD at retail, rather than receive messages at the start of a disc, I have met with the harsh reality of "BOOTMGR is missing Press Ctrl + Alt + Del to restart." Since then got trapped in a painful loop switching between disc 32-bit and the 64-bit disk in the hope that it would finally let me begin with him.

In addition to this logically faulty tactics, I also searched some online solutions. I made sure that my DVD drive is first in my boot order. My computer will not yet make Flex and give me the ability to boot from a disk.

  • Compaq 6510 b: bootmgr is missing and I don't have a CD/USB

    Hello

My HP Compaq 6510 b has been infected by the virus of defense crypto. I searched like crazy and could not find any solution and decided to sacrifice my photos and videos. But turned out even restore the laptop is not easily possible. AFAIK, the laptop is Vista but Windows 7, when I open it. So, after much research I found someone who said I should type collection in the area of research manager and allows to restore the laptop but unfortunately that does not exist in the laptop so I looked for something else and found out that by right-clicking on the computer that I can go to manage and then active partition and tried to restart. And then it happened, he showed "bootmgr is missing, press ctrl, alt and del to restart" so I did, but the same screen appears.

I searched online again and said I need a cd of Vista or Windows 7, but I don't have that. They also said that it is the only way to fix the laptop. So now I'm out of options and hoping someone here can help me.

Is there anyway I can fix this without the CD and restore my laptop to its original settings? Or can I restart my laptop without the bootmgr thing missing attachment?

Really need help with this and your help will be greatly appreciated. Looking forward to the answers.

    Hello

    Try the following.

If you do not, use another PC to create a rescue CD Windows 7.  Download the ISO relevant among the links below - if you are not sure, first try the 64 bit version.

    Windows 7 32 bit

    Windows 7 64 bit

You must use an app like ImgBurn ( Note: you can deselect additional software during installation of ImgBurn options) to burn the ISO to a CD - a guide on the use of ImgBurn to write an ISO on a disc is here.

When creating, type following the ESC key as soon as you start the launch of the laptop Boot Menu, and then insert the rescue CD.  Select boot options (usually f9 ), use the arrow keys to select the CD/DVD drive and press ENTER.  You can also get a prompt to "Press any key to" continuous - it if requested.

Select the "Repair your computer" option and follow Option 2 in the guide on the link below to run the Startup Repair - you may need to run this 2 or 3 times.

If the above does not help, take note of any error message you get during the procedure and include them with your next post.

  • Error NTLDR is missing - press ctrl alt del to restart

    Hello

I am extremely embarrassed to admit the following and ridiculously angry at myself for doing something completely stupid as I did, but's done it now... sigh...

I have NTLDR is missing - press ctrl alt del to restart error of nightmare.

This is how it happened. I need (ed) to reformat my hard drive, but first I was going to save everything. I save every so often, that now, I'm not near as often as I should! (last to the top was sigh 21/05/07). Well, not to think, instead of backup, I put the recovery cd in the drive and the screen came up saying: "loading ramdisk" then I got to the next screen basically asking if I wanted to restore out of the box or not. I chose the first step of the wizard who said out of the box. Then I clicked NEXT and realized that I had not backed up my files! So I cancelled out of the restore cd Wizard.

When I rebooted the computer, I got the error above nightmare.

I did research for many, many hours on how to repair or at least be able to start windows. I did the following:

1 creates a disk with ntldr, ntdetect.com, and boot.ini boot disk on it to restore, I all but I don't know if the dates say anything on those downloaded from another laptop

It did not work I still came upward with the same error or some other errors one pointing to hal\something. I don't know if it's my boot.ini that causes the problem or what. Oh, by the way, I went into the BIOS and made sure the computer started up to FDD first when you try the floppy option.

    [boot loader]
    timeout = 30
    default = multi (0) disk (0)

    Hello

It s a delicate and stupid situation.
The simplest solution would be the formatting of HARD drive and new reinstallation of the operating system.

But it seems you want to save all files available on the HARD disk.
If all goes well it s not too late

Hmmm. I think you have only one chance! You must remove the drive HARD internal of the laptop and try to connect it to the computer second external USB controller!
This part is not expensive and can be ordered from each book.
You should be able to get access to the HARD drive removed from the laptop...

After this procedure, the HARD drive must be formatted as NTFS, and any partition must be deleted!
Then you should try to start from the windows installation procedure or the restore CD.

By the way; I study a little bit in the Microsoft database and found these two documents:
    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/318728

    Hello

You try to install Windows XP on the computer?

BootMGR is not part of Windows XP. This is the file of boot loader for Windows Vista and Windows 7.

    Method 1:

If you try to install Windows XP, you can go ahead and try to reinstall Windows XP from the CD and check if that helps.

Note: perform a clean install only if you have no data on the hard drive.

    Thanks in advance :)

    Hello

You need to reinstall the operating system with a computer, second hand that you don't know what it was used for, legally or illegally.

With an Acer press you left ALT F10 to start the recovery process.

    http://Acer.custhelp.com/app/answers/detail/A_ID/2631

Use the following steps to start the system recovery:

    1. Restart the computer.
    2. When the Acer logo appears on the screen, press the left Alt and F10 keys.
    3. If you are prompted with a Microsoft Windows splash screen, press the Enter key.
    4. After that the Acer eRecovery Management application is loaded, select your type of restore.
    5. Read the review and then click Next when you are ready.
    6. Click next to start the restore process. Restoration can last from 10 minutes up to an hour.
    7. Once the recovery is complete your computer will load Windows and start the installation of your software and drivers. Your computer may restart several times during this process. Once they are all completed, your computer will be like it was when you bought it first.

If the steps above do not work, you will need to use recovery media to restore your system.

You can contact your computer manufacturer and ask them to send you a set of recovery disks (if they still...

They should do this for a small fee.

Some manufacturers have more available Vista recovery disks.

If this happens, you may need to try this instead:

You can also borrow and use a Microsoft Vista DVD, which contains the files for the different editions of Vista (Home Basic, Home Premium, Business and Ultimate) must be installed. The product key on your computer / Laptop box determines what Edition is installed.

Other manufacturers recovery DVDs are should not be used for this purpose.

And you need to know the version of 'bit' for Vista, as 32-bit and 64-bit editions come on different DVDs

"How to do a clean install and configure with a full Version of Vista '

    http://www.Vistax64.com/tutorials/117366-clean-install-full-version-Vista.html

And once the operating system is installed, go to your computer manufacturer's website and get the latest drivers for your particular model or laptop computer.

And phone Activation may be necessary when you use the above installation method.
