    Hey Buddy,

    > The game is not graphics intensive and worked for about a month without any problems, has recently started to freeze
This could mean that the laptop is overheating
The reason for overheating is the dust that blocks the fan for laptop gets hotter

I recommend to clean using a jet of compressed air to blow the dust from the cooling fans. You can do it without disassembling the computer so it is very easy and takes only 5 minutes.
Just remove the battery and unplug the AC adapter before doing this.

For example I clean my laptop every 4 months because a lot of dust is coming so it s worth it.

  • Unexpected freezing problems randomly on Gears of War (PC)

    Hello

    I have a computer with Vista 32 installed. The main components of the system are;
-Core two 7500 Due (2.93 Ghz)
    -6 GB of Ram
-ATI 3870 GPU (Catalyst installed 9.9)

In fact, game performance is perfect, but I have the problem of unexpected freeze at random during the game Gears of War. I have to press ctrl + alt + delete to return to Vista

    At first, I thought that it is a memory problem. I used to have 2 x ATI 3870 in cross fire mode and 2046 MB physical memory.  To increase the physical memory, I removed one of the card and now I see 3070 MB of physical memory. Then I re-load the game to check the difference, but after 45 minutes the game freezes up to play again. Here are the details;
-At the start of the game, I have used physical memory 59%
-During the game, I have used physical memory 67%
-When the game freeze-up, I have 67 physical memory %

I guess that this is unrelated to the memory. In any case, when I checked the performance of the processor to freeze-up, I can see 100% full load. In my view, that the causes of the problem. I suppose that there is something on the game code that causes my charge of 100% of the CPU and no response.
No idea what can be the problem?

Furthermore, I have similar problems on other games such as Crysis and Red Faction. For example, when I play Crysis on win XP with DirectX 9.0 c, with no no problems, but on Vista with Directx10, Yes. I think that there are some questions on Directx10.

    Could you please help?

    Thank you

first look at the Task Manager Control Panel and to ensure there are no tasks entered and run in the background.

    -

then consider the possibility that your anti-malware program may not be set up and that's all that scanning actively all the time, including the frequent updates of the registry hive.  You can temporarily turn off and see if that helps.

    -

Then, see about turning off your index for a few days service help.  go to administrative tools > services > service index.  Sometimes, the indexing service may be index records wrong or it's indexing your anti virus program is running.

  • Satellite A200 freezes / restarts randomly on startup

    Hello

I have Toshiba Satellite A200, Windows Vista Home Premium SP2 6.0.6002.
Intel (r) Core (TM) 2 Duo CPU T5450 at 1.66 GHz
Video ATI Mobility Radeon HD 2400 version = 8.380.0.0
Audio version of Realtek High Definition Audio = 6.0.1.5406
Network Marvell Yukon 88E8055 PCI-E Gigabit Ethernet Controller version = 10.0.4.3
    Intel (r) PRO/Wireless 3945ABG Network Connection version = 11.5.0.32

For the two weeks... my laptop randomly freezes / restarts... especially when it is started for the first time in the day OR after being in standby / hibernation of State for a few hours.
Sometimes it gets stuck before we get to the login screen... sometimes shortly after... no certain activity seems to be related to this gel. And it's not freezing all the time... sometimes it restarts too. No blue screen.

No new software installed, except regular updates of windows. No conflict in the device driver. I checked the website of toshiba for the latest drivers. BIOS had a newer version... So I installed which (2.5). But the problem has not disappeared.

When the computer reboots, it works fine... I'm not able to find something to worry about in the event viewer. Start logging also came not to the top with a few errors. I also disabled the option restart automatically.

Windows partition was low on space... only 6 GB left of allotted 40 GB... so I thought to backup and install from scratch... do that... all the updates that are installed during the next days... but my laptop is back to the same State. One thing I notice, is that now it takes longer after starting (and then restart) to connect to the wireless router. But this isn't a problem.

Microsoft Fix It didn't help either... am looking for help to identify the cause and resolve it.

Is there a conflict somewhere which surfaces while system is booting high / shortly after startup?

    Thank you in advance.

    > How we can say is that there is nothing wrong with the equipment? What else can a check?
The new installation of the operating system has not helped. Right?
So for me it looks like hardware related issue.
I think the disk HARD or RAM (memory)

The HARD drive can be easily verified. Download the drive diagnostic tool called HARD: Drive Fitness Test
It s freeware tool and it allows you to scan the HARD drive and get details on possible malfunction.

The diagnosis of RAM can be done easily. Of course, there are tools like memtest86 + and similar, but in my experience the results of the analysis are not always 100% right
So, in that these cases it s always a good idea to test the laptop using new tested s RAM

Kaspersky could easily be the problem. Disable it simply will not stop it from loading songs of

Here's what I use and recommend: (these are all free and very effective versions.)

Avast and Prevx proved extremely reliable and compatible with all I have
launched on them. Microsoft Security Essentials and Prevx have also proven to be very
reliable and compatible. Use MSE or Avast and Prevx, Prevx 3 but not all.

Avast Home free - stop any shields is not necessary except leaving Standard, Web, and
    Operation of the network.

    Prevx - Home - free

    Windows Firewall

Windows Defender (is not necessary if you use MSE)

    Protected IE - mode

IE 8 - SmartScreen filter WE (IE 7 phishing filter)

I also IE always start with asset if filter InPrivate IE 8.
(It may temporarily turn off with the little icon to the left of the + bottom
    right of IE)

Two versions of Avast are available 5.x and 4.8 x

Avast - home - free - 5.x stop shields you do not use (except files, Web, network, &)
Shields of behavior) - double click on the icon in the Notification area - real time Orange - click on the
Shield that you want to stop - STOP. To stop the Orange icon to show an error indicator-
Click on the Orange icon - top right - settings - click on the status bar - uncheck shields you
    disabled - click OK
    http://www.avast.com/free-antivirus-download

Avast 4.8 x - home - free - stop shields, you don't need except leaving Standard, Web,.
and the network running. (Double-click the blue icon - look OK. - upper left - Shields details
    Finish those you don't use).
    http://www.avast.com/free-antivirus-download#TAB4

Or use Microsoft Security Essentials - free
    http://www.Microsoft.com/Security_Essentials/

Prevx works well alongside MSE or Avast

Prevx - home - free small, fast, exceptional protection CLOUD, working with other security
programs. It is a single scanner, VERY EFFICIENT, if it finds something come back here
or use Google to see how to remove.

    PCmag - Prevx - Editor's choice
    http://www.PCMag.com/Article2/0, 2817,2346862,00.asp

Also get Malwarebytes - free - use as scanner only. If you ever think malware and that
would be unusual with Avast and occasional Prevx running with the exception of a low level cookie
(not much), to UPDATE and then run it as a scanner. I have a lot of scanners and they
never find anything of note that I started to use this configuration.

    Hello

    Thanks for the reply.

You can run scan Microsoft Safety to make sure that the computer is free of infection by the virus.

The Microsoft Security Scanner is a downloadable security tool for free which allows analysis at the application and helps remove viruses, spyware and other malware. It works with your current antivirus software.

    http://www.Microsoft.com/security/scanner/en-us/default.aspx

    Note:

    1) the Microsoft Safety Scanner expires 10 days after being downloaded. To restart a scan with the latest definitions of anti-malware, download and run the Microsoft Safety Scanner again.

    2) if you run the virus scan of the program which is infected with the virus will be deleted. Therefore, reinstall the program. Also, if files and folders are affected by the virus, while they might even get deleted.

Also, re-enable the services and check if the problem persists or not.

  • Satellite A200-1CR - freezes up randomly after 4-10 min of the start-up

After the harsh life with initially installed Windows Vista for 4 years, I decided to go ahead for the Win7 operating system...

So, I formatted the C: partition and installed Windows 7 Ultimate...
For about a week, everything went like a charm, but after a search through some "crack" sites - without having to install before all suite antivirus * stupid GuY *-, the system freezes up to...
I turned it off continuously pressing the upper right button and I restarted the same way...
The system freezes up just after the BIOS tests spent...

I left for a few minutes - assuming that overheating-questions, and after that it turned the load normally Win7...
After about 5-6 minutes it freezes on the rise again...
So far, I tried some things to make a conclusion...

I tried a Linux bootable CD and after a few minutes, the system hangs... (concl: not a problem of virus...)
If I try to restart instantly it does not even the BIOS... (concl: overheating?)
When I try "cold" upward, everything goes OK for 5-7 or up to 10 minutes...
During this short period that I managed to install a temperature monitoring program, which shows normal temperatures until freeze up again...

Ignoring this fact, I disassembled the laptop all with a lot of attention, I cleaned the pleasure-heatsink and I replaced the thermal conductive compound since the processor...

    Problem persists...

Another is that I realized, is that "Total Commander" I had installed just before the problem appeared, now is not installed more... (concl: the virus is present...)
Second fact, the bookmarks that I had saved in the Opera browser now dissappeared...

Any comments would be much appreciated.

    Thank you...

In such situation first step should be the new installation of the OS.
By default the BIOS settings and reinstall Win7. Don t install any driver or anything else, just to run naked Win7 to see if the same problem again occurs.

If so there must be a problem with the hardware. I can't say with certainty what he can be, but test drive HARD and memory at first.

    Hello

My trackpad freezes and crashes often too.  I thought it was because I had a huge work program on my computer that was causing a memory problem, but the program has now been uninstalled.

My computer is not that old either, but does it for almost the first day (when my boss introduced the program graphic design on my laptop).

I'm no longer works, but I find that the keypad frozen almost every day, whether or not I'm on Facebook or using Word or just surfing the net.  Its quite frustrating.  Sometimes it will be itself after a few minutes and other times, I need to do a hard reset to restart.

I have a plug in mouse, I can use, but I rarely use it and rely on this material on laptops.

I've seen a lot of posts on the subject, but no solution. So my laptop has been freezing at random the day I bought it. Today it happens much more often, this becomes ridiculously boring.

    > Once again, there was a notification that emerged after one of those who freeze soemthing mean in the sense of "there was a problem with amd (graphics card)?"but it was resovled."" It's all updated however.

This notification comes from the graphics card driver. It might be possible that there is a problem with the graphics driver or with the graphics chip.
Try to install the latest driver for Toshiba page. In case this doesn't help, recommend you to contact the service agents to check the hardware parts
