My PC keeps restarting and is messed up in so many ways!

Hi, my computer is so messed up in many ways. I will list them below:

(1) automatic restart of windows at random times.
(2) Internet browsers keep crashing (IE, Google chrome & Mozilla).
(3) games keep crashing and freezing.
(4) anything I download out corrupt at the time.
(5) certain programs do not work efficiently (updates do not occur & fails).
(6) videos online don't buffer correctly.
(7) my email does not sign the last MSN but a very old version.
(8) sometimes, when I turn on my computer, the sound does not work or the graphics card does not load upward and so I have to keep rebooting until it does.
(9) direct X Diagnostics does not completely load upward and crashes.
(10) Windows Explorer sometimes crashes when I open my documents or my computer.

Well there you have it... The PC to H E L L!

PS I tried other suggestions of ppl

(1) I restarted windows XP several times.
(2) I tried to install other OS.
(3) many times re-installed programs.
(4) replace the hard drive.

nothing works

I have also been on other forums... some ppl said that it could be ram error so I have to remove 1 ram card and see if it works. I will post on here if it works or not.

Also, I gave it a time for repair but no changes.

Please help me :'(! im desperate here.

Thank you!

So, it seems that you have a RAM problem. Be careful when you handle the RAM as a microsecond of static shock can damage it. Tap your metal frame of the computer to discharge any static electricity before touching RAM module and contain only the RAM on each side. That's what I heard from other Pro-tech.

My laptop running windows xp pro was fine, when I went to bed last night, but this morning I woke and went to use the lt and it started as usual but then in a mode options regurly windows open or to last working configuration, or 3 safe mode options. And no matter what I choose, it keeps restart and return to this page and has continually repeated the same steps over and over again... someone can please help me with this?

It seems that your XP hangs for some reason any...

Why do we know almost nothing about your system (except a laptop with XP Pro)?  I know this isn't your fault...

Please answer these questions and to implement the following:

Provide information on your system, the better you can:

What is your system brand and model?

What is your Version of XP and the Service Pack?

Describe your current antivirus and software anti malware situation: McAfee, Symantec, Norton, Spybot, AVG, Avira!, MSE, Panda, Trend Micro, CA, Defender, ZoneAlarm, PC Tools, Comodo, etc..

The question was preceded by a loss of power, aborted reboot or abnormal termination?  (this includes the plug pulling, buttons power, remove the battery, etc.)

The afflicted system has a working CD/DVD (internal or external) drive?

You have a genuine XP installation CD bootable, which is the same Service as your installed Service Pack (this is not the same as any recovery CD provided with your system)?

If there is a problem starting, XP is configured to automatically try to start again and you can stuck in a loop not being able to go beyond the screen boot options, or none of these startup options you choose will work only.

Sometimes, when XP has a problem starting or falls down and tries to start again, it will give you a "short" menu of boot options and none of them will appear to be good to get your system going again.  You have tried them all!

The options are similar to the Advanced Boot Options menu XP, but the only option that you need (disable automatic error system reboot) are not offered, because XP went too far during the boot process and offers a limited number of boot options.

If this is the case, you must call Options menu advanced boot yourself until you do not see the option:

Disable the automatic restart in the event of system failure

When you get the XP Advanced Options correct start menu you want to see, he has options on it like these:

    Safe mode
    Safe mode with networking
    Safe mode with command prompt

    Enable Boot logging
    Enable VGA mode
Last good Configuration known (your most recent settings that worked)
Directory Services Restore Mode (Windows domain controllers only)
    Debug mode
Disable the automatic restart in the event of system failure

    Start Windows normally
    Reset
    Return to OS Choices Menu

You need to choose in this menu is the option:

Disable the automatic restart in the event of system failure

Then if XP does not start normally, you will see an error screen with information and clues about the problem and then you can decide what to do next.

If you do not see the automatic restart on system failure option turn it off, you must reset your system and start typing the key F8 on the keyboard until you see her disable automatic restart on system failure option.

If you miss the window of opportunity F8, you must try again and start tapping the F8 key with more urgency (earlier and more frequently) until you see disable automatic restart on system failure, and then select.

You must keep trying the F8 menu until you see disable automatic restart on system failure option, and select it.

If your system has a Blue Screen of Death (BSOD), we need to know what the screen says:

Here's a BSOD example showing information you provide:

    http://TechRepublic.com.com/i/tr/downloads/images/bsod_a.jpg

Send for the nose and the Red arrows (3 to 4 lines total).

Send all * line STOP message since there are clues in the 4 parameters.

If it looks like there is some kind of name listed in the STOP message file, send this line also.

Ignore the boring text unless it seems important to you.  We know what a BSOD looks like, we need to know what your BSOD looks like.

Answering queries and results report of the disable automatic restart on system failure screen and you can decide what to do next.

  • Mac keeps restarting and is very slow running

Why not keep restart my mac and works very slow since I installed El Capitan?

Most likely because you upgraded an already dysfunctional system without the first fix. Or your HARD drive may be faulty.

Try these in order to test your system after each see if it is back to normal:

    1. a. reset the PRAM and NVRAM on your Mac.

    b. Macs with Intel processors: reset of the controller (SMC) system management

    2. restart the computer in Safe Mode, and then restart again, normally. If this does not help, then:

HD recovery start: restart the computer and after the buzzer, press on and press and hold the

COMMAND and R keys until it appears the Utilities menu screen.

3 fix the hard disk and permissions: select startup drive in the Utilities menu utility. Fix the hard drive and the permissions as follows.

When the recovery menu appears, select disk utility and press the continue button. After loading disk utility select it

back from Macintosh HD entry of the list on the left.  Click first aid button in the toolbar. Wait for the operation

ends, then quit disk utility and back to the main menu.

4 reinstall OS X: restart from HD recovery Select reinstall OS X from the Utilities menu, then click on the continue button.

Note : You will need an active Internet connection. I suggest to use Ethernet if possible because it's three times faster than wireless.

When you get it working properly, and then download and reinstall OS X El Capitan 10.11.3 Combo Update.

  • FIXED! has: 0x0000008E BSOD - won't start no - a: R40 keeps restart and restart...

I have several buffers to think, and I have an old R40 that does something very strange. (XP pro - latest updates from MS)

    When I turn it on:

    1. It happens on the screen with the Windows Logo (and that whatever it is called which moves from left to right to show that he is not locked)
    2. The screen turns black like it normally does
    3. Instead of the blue welcome screen that usually follows, I get a blue screen of death who does not remain long enough that I read
    4. It then displays a black and white BACK type screen give me the ti choice start normally, last good configuration, safe mode, etc.

Finally after a few false starts it starts normally.

Choose Safe Mode, it starts without a problem. If I choose the last good configuration, it always presents the same problem.

I ran all the tests available with PC Doctor (supplied with the R40) and everything goes.

I have a registry cleaner program (Registry Medic) and it does not solve the problem either.

I downloaded a program called Blue Screen View, but it shows the last time the system crashed in 2005

Any ideas on how to solve this?

BTW, I am not a technician, but I'm an experienced user.

    Thank you

  • McAfee Firewall will stay not on; Cannot turn on the firewall of Windows 7; Computer keeps restarting; and I can't access a file because my computer says I don't have permission

I use McAfee Firewall as my firewall.  Now when I try to turn it on, it continues for less than a second, then turns off.  Firewall Windows also not be.

My computer rebooting in itself guard so I can't complete a virus scan.  In one place, he suggested I have try in Safe Mode, but it didn't work (and he told me that it did not work because I couldn't connect to the internet).  I tried "Safe Mode with networking" and he would not even let me scan.

Another thing, the last time that I tried to scan it got stuck on "Internet C:\Windows\SysWOW64A\config\systemprofile\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows\Temporary / / Desktop.ini.  This makes me think that this could be the problem, so I tried to get him to put the file in "VirusTotal.  I was able to get to him before that I got the idea to put it in "VirusTotal" but now it won't let me and he says:

"You don't have currently not allowed to access this folder."

"Click Conitnue to have permanent access to this folder."

When I try to click on "Continue", it only ever through.

I tried to change the 'Owner' under 'Security' tab but it still doesn't work, so I can't check to see if the file is a virus.

Should I try to download a new antivirus program to scan my computer?

Sorry if this is in the wrong category.  I have so many problems, it is not easy to categorize.

    Uninstalling McAfee completely.

Do not use any product that claims to make your computer run better.  Almost all of them are either false, themselves, an infection, or put your computer at risk. Delete everything that claims to be there to prevent the infections or pretends to make your computer work better, except for the singular than an antivirus product.

It is a controversial topic, but your choice of AV software may be something you want to take a 2nd look.  I suggest you visit this website to get an idea of what AV software made the best work, depending on what type of user you are: http://www.av-comparatives.org/ is a non-profit that has been around for a long time and I hope that their results.

When you interpret these results, remember the difference between a product that detects 95% and the other 99% of infections, it is actually 5 times more likely to allow an infection.

I pick up after about 150 Windows PCs and I have more than 13 years.  Until last September, the only AV software that I would allow my clients to use was Norton Antivirus.  Note that this is not the same as any other product, Norton 360 or Internet Security.  My clients rarely know infections.

Last September, Symantec (Norton owner) decided to no longer sell such a product.  After much research, I decided on Bitdefender Antivirus 2015 +.  I installed it on most of these PCs to date and has never been a problem, and it has been on a course of about 11 months now...  It is a better product than Norton.  It is also cheap. One of the things I love the most about it, is the silence and discretion.  Especially if silenced you its function "portfolio".

My customers know that if they install any product of 'Internet Security', I won't work on their computers until it is deleted.  Very well, I learned the hard way that other components of these products (other than the AV itself) IS causing more problems than any profit that they bring and work mainly by stopping the Windows component that does a very good job of this particular task still.  The problem is that when I started to work on a computer with an IS on it, I could spend hours trying to diagnose the problem, only to find out that by taking the product of the IS, the problems have become much clearer and easier to solve.  I think that the product of the IS actually hides the problem.

As I said, this is a controversial topic and you will find many different very strong opinions.  I know that mine is based on a fairly large sample over a long period, and are consumers of consumer type Windows.

Please note.  You should never have more than one protection software installed.  Always make sure that you completely remove the firmware all protection before installing a new one.  That contains software that may have come preinstalled on your computer when it's new

Totally impossible to delete most of all AV software simply by using the standard uninstallation tool Windows 7.  Most of the majors also publishes a "removal tool" that gets the rest.  If you do not completely remove it, it will cause very hard to understand and diagnose problems.

    Hello

1st thing to try is a restoration of the system in safe mode

    http://www.windowsvistauserguide.com/system_restore.htm

    1. Restart your computer.
    2. When the computer starts, you will see your computer hardware are listed. When you see this information begins to tap theF8 key repeatedly until you are presented with theBoot Options Advanced Windows Vista.
    3. Select the Safe Mode option with the arrow keys.
    4. Then press enter on your keyboard to start mode without failure of Vista.
    5. To start Windows, you'll be a typical logon screen. Connect to your computer and Vista goes into safe mode.
    6. Do whatever tasks you need and when you are done, reboot to return to normal mode.

  • iPad 2 keeps restarting while loading

I was given an iPad 2 and said that it might not work, but I thought it was worth a shot. After plugging in it started but the battery was at 1% and after going through the whole upward for a few minutes, she has restarted itself. I thought that the battery must have has just been completely dead after you have not used for some time.

I had reset and put to update via iTunes and set up as a new iPad. He managed to do throughout the this without turning off despite only be connected to a USB port I found strange.

Now I got the charger for nearly an hour and the battery is only 3%, but it still keeps restarting and running with battery at 3%.

    Any idea what could happen?

EDIT: left in DFU mode for a bit and it is always off

Since it has been restored as new and the problem persists, we guarantee that it is not software partner. If you have tried a different cable and the problem persists, it is more that likely a problem of material and the iPad will have to be repaired or replaced.

I would say to contact the Apple Support and run a diagnostic on the device because it can be a simple battery problem.

    Hope this helps

Why my iPad Air keep crashing and restarting in Safari? I also think other applications. iOS 9.3.2 must be the culprit because it never happened so often. Any solution?

Go to settings - Safari - clear the history and data from the Web site.

If that doesn't work, reset your device. This will not erase your data stored on the phone.

    • Press and hold the sleep/wake button
    • Press and hold the Home button
    • Press and hold both buttons until the display turns off and on again with the Apple logo on the subject.

Alternatively, you can go to settings - general - reset - Reset all settings

If that doesn't work, restore your device to factory settings. Please note that this will delete the data on your device.

As soon as the power adapter is connected, the computer turns off.
When I use the computer without a battery but with the AC adapter, the computer shuts down. Test with a different AC adapter, the computer turns off.

If the cable between the motherboard and the CC is originally the problem whether it is unlikely?

Someone has an idea to help me with this problem?

    > From the moment when the AC adapter is connected, the computer turns off.
There must be some kind of electronic problem of power on the motherboard.
I put t think that the AC adapter is affected since you have already tested another (good job?) Power adapter.
I think in case of malfunction of the motherboard, the laptop fix can be a costly affair
The motherboard is one of the expensive parts for laptop and I think that that's not worth buying a new part for this old model of laptop.
