  How are you trying to send a FAX? What happens when you try? You can send a FAX directly from the FAX machine? What is the machine FAX connected to a phone line?

  I had to uninstall the other fax printer, uninstall the HP LaserJet 570 new, restart the PC and reinstall the software from the HP Laserjet 570.

  If you uninstall any printer HP Fax previous installation of the software will not install a new. It seems that you can not have 2 printers fax machines.

  Previously, I tried to install it from the CD or a download of the site Web HP and none of them worked. Even if you go to Fax records in the CD and try to install only the fax there it will not install.

  Using Windows 7 64 bit.  When to launch a shipment (no cover page and 1 attachment), modem connects, I hear "handshake" with the other fax, sending page 1 shows, then stops and an error message 'the fax cannot be sent due to an unexpected error.  I can't determine what an unexpected error.  Help?

  Hi, one of the reasons why I bought my Photosmart 7510, was the free eFax features 20 pages sent and 20 pages receive FREE. So, when I used the eFax for the first time, he gave me a (long-distance) number. I had no other choice but to accept that number.   With eFax, your faxes are sent through the internet, not the phone line.  Phone connections are all made with the eFax service but your part of the process of eFax is done through your internet connection.

  Hello thewheel.  I understand that you want your phone bluetooth to your printer and use it to send faxes.

  Unfortunately, because of how fax machines work, it will not be possible.  Fax machines work by talking to other devices using the "tones" the phone creates when you press a button/perform action.  Your phone does not have these tones to communicate and thus, does not use them.  This means that your mobile phone and Fax cannot communicate as appropriate to perform this action.

  However, there are services that allow you to send digitally faxes by internet.  Is not the same thing as what you asked, but it is a possibility, in that you can watch.  There are many of these applications then take a look at these Google search results and see if any of them will meet your needs.

  I used to be able to send a fax from my Macbook Pro using an excerpt and then print the PDF file to the fax on my Laserjet M475dn colorMFP function.

  After installation of OS X Yosemite:

  • a dialog box says that "some of the software of the printer is missing."
  • When I clicked on the button install, then said "you must install the software to use this printer...." If the software is not available in software update, contact the manufacturer of your printer"
  • Then I downloaded the .dmg for laserjet and officejet files (I also have a photosmart that I use for scanning)
  • I deleted the printers and tried to re - add
  • When I add printers laserjet, fax does not show up on top of the list of printers.

  OK, mission accomplished! My ability to fax works on Mac OS X Yosemite!

  So to sum up, here's what I did, although not necessarily in this order:

  1 reset the printing system, which erased all of the devices in the list Printers & Scanners

  2 install the software utility package HP = HP-LaserJet-SW-OSX - Mavericks_v12.34.34.dmg

  3 install the package for the HP printer software update 3.0

  4 restarted my mac

  5 entered in Printers & Scanners and when the dialog box pops up, added the Fax with the driver for Fax selected in the drop-down list to use as directed by the dialog box illustrated by TeK_AcE

  6 tested the fax print in overview and selecting 'Fax PDF' in the menu drop-down PDF. I sent a fax to the fax number of the HP test at 1-888-hpfaxme or 1-888-473-2963

  7. Add the printer again, the driver Laserjet and not Airprint

  You can rerun Setup on the printer wireless as the partial reset restores the settings of your printer (see previous post). This reset is to correct the message "fax" to come on the printer.

  Setting up the wireless connection on your printer.

  1. Press the button setup on the printer. Go to the network Menu and select wireless configuration wizard.
  2. Printer should start checking for wireless networks. Choose yours and enter the password when you are prompted.
  3. Printer connects successfully if all the information is entered. You can even print a test report network to confirm its IP address and connection. Note the signal strength and the channel because it is also important.
  4. You should be able to print after that.

  Is anyone able to help me?  I have problems to receive faxes.  I have a distinctive ring (double Crown) and I tried all the settings of the printer to try to receive a fax.  I am able to send outgoing faxes, or faxes to another fax machine I have.

  Well, after the meeting on hold and try to have a HP reprepsentative help me I managed to self diagnose and solve my problem.  For those of you who have this problem - there is a "Auto answer" button on the front of the fax machine.  I have no idea WHY this must be 'market' (who wouldn't want their fax to automatically answer a fax) but that is the question.  I hope this helps others with the same problem!

When I fax from another fax machine, the hp m1217 won't receive fax signal. Then I tried to call the fax number that connect on my HP printer m1217. This HPm 1217 receive the call and heard Fax fom my cell phone signal.

  I spent over 10 hours on the phone with Technical Support, Cloud Computing service and an escalation of HP handler.  The escalation of HP Manager ran a cleaner tool to remove completely all HP printer software and reinstalled.  Now, everything works except for analysis.

  Using Scan of the computer for the printer display gives, "make sure that the HP printer software is installed.  I can, however, scan-to-one chip memory inserted in the computer, but is produces a jpg file and I need PDF.  All scanning software worked before technical support and escalation of HP is involved.

  I discovered that Windows has made a number of updates to security on my computer.  Therefore, windows do not see the 7510 as a device scan and judged that he was a suspect and deactivated engine part analysis of the HP software.

  I think you were on the right track.  Then analysis stops on an HP printer without apparent reason, check if there's any recent Windows updates.  If so, reinstall the printer as a new wireless printer.
