  I suggest you try the steps mentioned below and check if it helps.

  Set up your computer in a clean boot state and then try to install Microsoft Visual C++ 2008 SP1 Redistributable package manually from the link below and check if it helps, here is the link:

  Images II 7 d would be directly supported in Photoshop CS5 as requiring a new camera raw.

  So, you must download the free DNG Converter to convert these images to DNG and then open the DNG converted in Photoshop.

My first thought would be to send the download link, and download it or install it on any other computer until the arrival of the iMac to my colleague. Does this sound right?
