    Exactly what virus was this?

Almost certainly you don't has completely failed to clean the
computer upward. Keep in mind the following three things:

    1. MalwareBytes anti-malware is an anti-spyware program and
    nothing to clean up viruses.

2 PC Tools antivirus is a bad choice of an anti-virus program. For
an antivirus program, I recommend eSet NOD32, if you're ready
to pay for it. If you want a free anti-virus, I recommend one (are not
run several) of the following three:

    Avira AntiVir
    Avast
    Microsoft Security Essentials

    3. in the course of the run Registry Mechanic has been a very bad thing to do and it can be
responsible for the problems that you are experiencing now. Cleaning the registry
the programs are all snake oil. The registry cleaning is not necessary
and is dangerous. Let alone register and do not use any registry
cleaner. Despite what many people think and what providers of registry
cleaning software try to convince you to have unused registry
entries is not really make you hurt.
The risk of a serious problem caused by a registry cleaner by mistake
delete an entry you need is much greater than any potential benefit
    It can have.

Let me stress that neither me nor anyone else who warns the
use of registry cleaners never said that they always cause
problems. If they have always caused problems, they would disappear from
the market almost immediately. Many people have used a registry
cleaner and never had a problem with it.

The problem with a registry cleaner is that it carries with it
the risk of a significant problem. And since there is no
benefits of using a registry cleaner, running that risk is a very bad
    good deal.

  • In Firefox using the top menu, for example in Google images, videos, map, etc., of a web page are not activated with the mouse. This does not happen when you use Internet Explorer, because all links are available.

A notification can up on some type of script, which then disappeared before I could take a note. After that links up on all web pages would not work by using the mouse cursor.
It was only the links on a webpage, not on the menu bar or tabs above.

To see if this happened on another browser, I opened the pages using Internet Explorer and open the links on all the pages that are controlled via the mouse. This sugested, it was a problem with Firefox.

I uninstalled Firefox and installed a new application of the latest edition of Firefox, but the problem persists.

No known cure for this problem.

This problem may be caused by the Yahoo! toolbar as scopes as well down and covers the top of the browser window, allowing links in this part of the screen not clickable.

  • I reformatted my computer with Windows 7 and Internet Explorer 9 that my MSN games are not installed.

I reformatted my computer with windows 7 and internet explorer 9 is not my games .it installed msn, which I can do on this problem

MSN games are not part of Windows 7 so when you reformatted and reinstalled Windows 7 you have lost the. Depending on the type of game you will need to reinstall each game - this may mean to download again MSN. If they are browser based games simply to go to the MSN Web page for the game in the usual way.

If instead of MSN games, you actually mean that games built into Windows 7 as Chess Titans, Spider Solitaire & FreeCell, then you can just turn them on by using the following method:

    1. click on Start (lower-left) and then on Control Panel.

    2. click on programs and features.

    3. on the left side of the screen, click on 'Windows turn features on or off".

    4. find the entry called games & check the box next to it.

    5. click on OK.

    6 reset.

If the games box is already checked, uncheck the box , click OK, restart, then do steps 1-6 above.

  • Firewall issue 314 and Internet Explorer

I had problems to use my internet browsers from 2 days.  First, it started with Firefox AND Internet Explorer does not.  It would come just to the top with a page saying "connection timed out" so that my internet and router are both operating correctly.  My roommate's computer connects fine and both of our phones. I have internet hy plugged directly into the computer, but also a WiFi connection that both said were connected. When I went to diagnose the problem through the computer, he told me '314 firewall problem' but didn't tell me how to fix it or provide solutions outside the base "call someone else" which tends to be the solution to all my problems windows.  I did a bit of reading with my phone's internet and someone suggested to use CCleaner.  I have Firefox running again.  However, none of my games on the internet will connect and Internet explorer is still having the same problem.  I tried unplugging everything and restarting all 4 or 5 times.  I tried to open port 80.  None of this does not work so far.

I have a series under Windows 7 Home Premium HP p6000 office.  Any help would be great (and I am not a geek at ALL, so simplified responses are greatly appreciated!) Thank you.

I found a solution on a forum who helped me finally!  I will post it here in case anyone else has this problem as well: http://en.kioskea.net/forum/affich-109092-internet-explorer-blocked-by-firewall

I opened Internet Explorer go to tools > Internet Options > Advanced tab > then clicked on the "Reset" touch everything downstairs and it completely resets the browser to its origin (removal of passwords and personal settings) settings.  Then I rebooted it and it loads the homepage! It's a relief that this pain in the thigh is over.

    Hello

Try Firefox Safe mode to see if the problem goes away. Firefox Safe mode is a troubleshooting mode that temporarily disables hardware acceleration, restores some settings and disables add-ons (extensions and themes).

If Firefox is open, you can restart Firefox Safe mode in the Help menu:

    • Click the menu button

      click Help

then select restart with disabled modules.

If Firefox does not work, you can start Firefox in Mode safe as follows:

    • On Windows: Hold down the SHIFT key when you open the desktop Firefox or shortcut in the start menu.
    • On Mac: Hold the option key during the startup of Firefox.
    • On Linux: Exit Firefox, go to your Terminal and run firefox-safe-mode
(you may need to specify the installation path of Firefox for example/usr/lib/firefox)

When the Firefox Safe Mode window appears, select "start mode safe."

If the problem is not present in Firefox Safe Mode, your problem is probably caused by an extension, theme or hardware acceleration. Please follow the steps described in the section Troubleshooting extensions, themes and problems of hardware acceleration to resolve common Firefox problems to find the cause.

To exit safe mode of Firefox, simply close Firefox and wait a few seconds before you open Firefox for normal use again.

When find you what is causing your problems, please let us know. This might help others with the same problem.

  • Windos XP and Internet Explorer runs slow after turning to...

I really hope that someone can help me that the Forums have proved useful to me in the past.  This is my last issue.

One of my parents, for reasons that I won't, get updated his cable, phone and internet in one of these beams that offers local, rather than paying for phone company each separately.  She has an office of older model PC that runs Windows XP and worked it, Office 2003 (if the memories are good) and Internet Explorer (I mean IE8) very well and quickly.

After its upgrade of the high-speed line was complete one of the first things I did was to go to Microsoft to download a bunch of updates as it had been on dial until it was impossible to download everything that she needed (she had not kept with it but also rarely used the computer to get on the net so it was not that big a deal).  All XP downloaded approximately 77 updates and after a while successfully installed all of them.  He then restarted and soon after started incredibly slow operation.

Because it runs more slowly now that when she was on the dial upwards, she is ready to get rid of its highspeed which I said.  I think that one or more of 77 more updates, I installed may have done something.  Also his internet browser now looks like my laptop (Acer with Vista and IE 9) so I think that maybe his version of XP and IE do not play nice with them.  Finally something told me she had a Trojan horse, and some adware that I used Lavasoft to get rid of and their last free version is installed with moy.

Any help would be appreciated to untangle what is causing his PC suddenly run slow.  I'm tempted to use a restore point and go back, but I'm not sure how to go (and really, I've never used a prior restore point).  I'm half tempted to simply restore the entire hard drive but would have a copy of XP (I don't have a copy of Windows 98 that I some how came in possession of CD).

  • Current problems with windows xp and Internet Explorer e-mail. You want advice

Problem started when in Internet explorer, I could not send emails. Program would close downm advised by the technical support of Microsoft Windows than windows xp or explore 8 had bad files and needed to do a clean install. Cannot locate the disc for windows xp will have to buy a.  Should I buy Windows XP or Windows 7? What are the main differences > is Windows 7 contains IE and other software as well?

The tech shared my office and tried to uninstall IE 7 and 8 butcould not completely uninstall. It also reset my settings to the origianl settings, still no luck. The messaging service is hotmail and my wife also has a msn.com address, and none of us can email unless I have disable all add-ons. How can I solve this problem? How can I find out who the module blocked sending emails?

Well, again, how take you your contact with the tech support person?  In other words, how do you know he worked for Microsoft?

What default values have been reset?

What happens when you try to use Hotmail or MSN?

    * It was an attempt to uninstall IE 8 which has failed.  How it failed? Do you remember any error message?

    * Apparently, the attempt to uninstall IE 8 was successful enough to reveal IE 7.  Then, there was an attempt to uninstall IE 7 that has failed. How it failed? Do you remember any error message?

    * What version of IE is now active?

Assuming that the answer to the previous question is IE 8, you can selectively disable the modules by going to tools > manage add-ons.  If IE 8 running in mode no. Add on solves the problem, I suggest from IE 8 in normal mode and systematically disabling the modules until you find the culprit.

Alternatively, you can start a new thread in the forum Internet Explorer .  Include your version of Windows XP, including the service pack and the version of Internet Explorer you are using.  You should also explain exactly what is happening when you try to send an email.  If an error message appears, he quotes completely, without paraphrasing.  I suggest that you use a more descriptive title, such as "cannot use Hotmail with IE 8.  In the body, do not forget to explainwhy "do not use Hotmail."

  • I have 28 of Firefox and Internet Explorer 8 running on a Windows XP, I can "desensivise" the copy mode?

I have 28 Firefox and Internet Explorer 8 running on Windows XP
    I'm compiling a list of www.thegazette.co.uk
Sometimes the Explorer is slow, very slow, take up to five minutes to move from one page to another, but I can copy and paste paragraphs of her.
Firefox is fast but splits a paragraph into small sections (sometimes a letter) and each of them as simple features pasta in Notebook or Word. I am so in five minutes a page after I reassembled things.
My current compromise is looking in Firefox, then load the address of the page in Explorer solutions for the treatment of the paragraph.
I can "desensivise" the method of copy of Firefox?

I have the same problem when I try to copy the text, but all copies fine if I download the PDF file and open it with Adobe Acrobat/Adobe Reader. Try this if none of the cor - el or jscher2000 PDF viewers proposed work.

To do this there is a button at the top of the image that the document is in (it looks like a sheet of paper with an arrow above). Click here and you will be prompted to open the PDF file or save it. You can then choose to open it with Adobe Acrobat/Reader or save it in your file downloads, in which case you can open it by clicking the download button (the arrow at the top right of the default browser window) and select it from the menu. If you don't have Adobe Acrobat or Adobe reader, you can download Adobe Reader here.
