Download ESET Removal tool

Burn it to a CD or create a USB bootable thumb with her:

http://www.eset.com/us/download/utilities/

ESET are Live is a live Linux distribution which can scan malware and clean infected files. It runs from a CD/DVD or a USB device, regardless of the host operating system, but has a direct access to the system disks and files. This will eliminate the threats which, under normal conditions, can be impossible to remove.

Download and create your ESET are Live drive

Start from it and scan your system.

You can also try to do a system restore before you start experiencing this problem:

http://pcsupport.about.com/od/fixtheproblem/HT/system-restore-Windows-7.htm

There are some that will hide your files/folders so that you don't normally see them. I strongly suggest to run a scan on your computer with your antivirus/antimalware software. If you need to, you can also use the Microsoft Safety Scanner, it's free:

http://www.Microsoft.com/security/scanner/en-us/default.aspx

Also, if your files are hidden, check out the following article on how to display the:

It seems that your XP hangs for some reason any...

Why do we know almost nothing about your system (except a laptop with XP Pro)?  I know this isn't your fault...

Please answer these questions and to implement the following:

Provide information on your system, the better you can:

What is your system brand and model?

What is your Version of XP and the Service Pack?

Describe your current antivirus and software anti malware situation: McAfee, Symantec, Norton, Spybot, AVG, Avira!, MSE, Panda, Trend Micro, CA, Defender, ZoneAlarm, PC Tools, Comodo, etc..

The question was preceded by a loss of power, aborted reboot or abnormal termination?  (this includes the plug pulling, buttons power, remove the battery, etc.)

The afflicted system has a working CD/DVD (internal or external) drive?

You have a genuine XP installation CD bootable, which is the same Service as your installed Service Pack (this is not the same as any recovery CD provided with your system)?

If there is a problem starting, XP is configured to automatically try to start again and you can stuck in a loop not being able to go beyond the screen boot options, or none of these startup options you choose will work only.

Sometimes, when XP has a problem starting or falls down and tries to start again, it will give you a "short" menu of boot options and none of them will appear to be good to get your system going again.  You have tried them all!

The options are similar to the Advanced Boot Options menu XP, but the only option that you need (disable automatic error system reboot) are not offered, because XP went too far during the boot process and offers a limited number of boot options.

If this is the case, you must call Options menu advanced boot yourself until you do not see the option:

Disable the automatic restart in the event of system failure

When you get the XP Advanced Options correct start menu you want to see, he has options on it like these:

    Safe mode
    Safe mode with networking
    Safe mode with command prompt

    Enable Boot logging
    Enable VGA mode
Last good Configuration known (your most recent settings that worked)
Directory Services Restore Mode (Windows domain controllers only)
    Debug mode
Disable the automatic restart in the event of system failure

    Start Windows normally
    Reset
    Return to OS Choices Menu

You need to choose in this menu is the option:

Disable the automatic restart in the event of system failure

Then if XP does not start normally, you will see an error screen with information and clues about the problem and then you can decide what to do next.

If you do not see the automatic restart on system failure option turn it off, you must reset your system and start typing the key F8 on the keyboard until you see her disable automatic restart on system failure option.

If you miss the window of opportunity F8, you must try again and start tapping the F8 key with more urgency (earlier and more frequently) until you see disable automatic restart on system failure, and then select.

You must keep trying the F8 menu until you see disable automatic restart on system failure option, and select it.

If your system has a Blue Screen of Death (BSOD), we need to know what the screen says:

Here's a BSOD example showing information you provide:

    http://TechRepublic.com.com/i/tr/downloads/images/bsod_a.jpg

Send for the nose and the Red arrows (3 to 4 lines total).

Send all * line STOP message since there are clues in the 4 parameters.

If it looks like there is some kind of name listed in the STOP message file, send this line also.

Ignore the boring text unless it seems important to you.  We know what a BSOD looks like, we need to know what your BSOD looks like.

Answering queries and results report of the disable automatic restart on system failure screen and you can decide what to do next.

All of the pdf files I've downloaded on my desktop (Windows 7) suddenly "disappeared."  I can open and view them, but cannot remove them or move them to another file.  When I try to delete, I get a message saying my trial has expired and he wants me to buy which I can't do because I don't have a serial number to put in. What happened to the "free" Adobe Reader I thought I had?  How can I get these PDF files to become mobile?

You (or someone) downloaded the free demo of Acrobat Pro, a little more than a month. If you use this software $20 / free months instead of drive for a month. If you don't want to buy it, now you must uninstall it and go back to the use of Acrobat Reader.

Any suggestions as to what I can try?

Boot from the DVD Windows 8
    Click Install now
    Accept the license agreement
When the option is displayed to select a type of installation, click (Custom advanced)

Select the disk partition where you want to install Windows 8 click Next.

You will receive the following warning:

The partition you have selected may contain files from a previous Installation of Windows. If so, these files and folders will be moved to a folder named Windows.old. You will be able to access the information in Windows.old, but you will be able to use your previous version of Windows.

(At all costs, do NOT click on anything in Format, deletion or Partition name.) So even do a custom installation, your personal files are still kept. Click OK

The installation program will now begin installation. During installation, your computer will be restarted several times.

Once the installation is complete, you can complete the Out of Box experience as the choice of your laptop, create a username, password, your time zone. You can then proceed to download the latest updates for Windows and reinstall your applications and drivers.

You can then retrieve your personal files from the Windows.old folder and reinstall all of your applications and drivers.

  • 13 9333 XPS - Windows 10: sudden, random and irrevocably stops audio output

The subject said. Audio driver for Windows 10, XPS 13 9333 buggy from the beginning! I had to reboot several times a week to "reactivate the sound." Errors are two complete sound driver crashes (the speaker symbol turns red and Windows 10 offers to try to solve the problem - well, of course that does nothing...), but now also this:

At random intervals sound just stops. The volume can still be controlled, I do not see an error in the Windows event log (but I don't know I looked everywhere), Manager of devices for Realtek High Definition Audio shows the driver as work. I hear a brief 1/10th of a second loud white noise sound stops and that's it. I have to restart.

    UPDATE - solved:

I reinstalled the CHIPSET DRIVER too and after the following restarts his is back.

Thanks to a tip in this forum here that says "drivers installation order can be important."

I hope someone has a suggestion for this problem... I just bought a new laptop and Windows 7 Professional came installed on it.

    Thank you

    Linney thanks for your response!

The file I'm trying to install is an exe file (so the SIG file is embedded in the exe file).

I tried the option "Run As Administrator" and it did not work.  However, you gave me an idea that has provided a work around that allowed me to install the program.

Once this dialog box is displayed with all the control switches, rather than press 'OK', I left on the screen and went in the 'temp' folder and find the MSI program I tried to install (I cross referenced the timestamp of when I tried to install it to find).

Once I found the updated file, I clicked it, and he proceeded to install the program... I have not had any other problems with the installation.

So, there's something wrong with the way that the exe file have been created and how the files extracted from the msi file (these are files of Intel and Lenovo - driver updates - so I think they do these things) or there is a problem with Windows Installer.

For now, at least, I have a work around I use until I find a solution to this problem of permanent

Thanks for your help and for taking the time to answer!

I hope this can help someone else in the future

  • Can I have a face and not connected to pages in a document?

I'm putting together a booklet with gaps of 11 x 17 - some of them will be two pages 8.5 x 11 face-to-face, but others will be a single image of 11 x 17 and would be better to consider them as a page. We will produce a hard copy and an electronic version. The hastily sketched image below shows what I'm looking for. In the PDF version, the pages would be directed as indicated. In the booklet, the large images would rotate to fit into the booklet 8.5 x 11 and given the style of the main page.

This is something I can accomplish in an InDesign document, or will I need to produce separate versions for printing & digital editions?

    Thank you!!

    2403_001.png

For the print edition I set up like a regular 8.5 x 11 facing files pages and make rotate the view of the spread for the pages that you need to see like 11 x 17 vertical, but you're going to need a second PDF for the electronic version if you want to export pasta to spread. I would give export to PDF (Interactive), a test - spreads is the default and turn the occasional page in Acrobat before distribution. That will give you spreads for everything, though, if you want to have individual 8.5 x 11 pages, so you'll need to export multiple PDFs, specifying ranges, with gaps selected or deselected, and then combine everything in a single PDF file in Acrobat for distribution.

  • Windows 7 suddenly slow and System Idle process CPU utilization a concern

Almost overnight, my Sony Vaio with Windows 7 (bought in 2010) has worked incredibly slow.  I tried to update the computer with the automatic updates of Windows and the Service Pack 1 could not install many times.  So, I installed the system update readiness tool.  Then I tried to install the SP again and it worked (I was also able to install SP2 and other updates at this point).  But, these downloads and installations took longer than they should have and my computer continues to lag when I'm trying to do something.  Norton AntiVirus found no problem.  I've only used about 20 percent of the memory.  System Idle Process is using high CPU, even when I try to use other programs such as IE and Google Chrome.  The computer fans work diligently as if the computer tries to run, but everything is going so slow that the computer is almost useless.

The computer is almost three years old, but did not have something else installed Norton because I bought the new computer.  It has been used daily for almost three years without problem.  I do a lot but check Windows Live Mail, and then type the documents in Word format - literally that's all; no other programs, games, etc.  However, I have an error code a few months back: 'Not authentic Windows, Build 7600.'  In response to the error, I got my product key and verified the program and to use new Windows 7.
Anyone know why the system idle process continues to consume so much CPU even when I try to open a web browser?  Even when the computer is inactive, the fans are running full speed and the computer becomes warm to the touch.  It seems that no matter what the computer is doing, it is lagging behind and struggling.  Even if I just want to open the start menu, it takes a few seconds for the computer to respond.
    Thank you!

It is not dust but the crapware that you must get rid.  The first suspect is Norton, which is a terrible software that slows down terribly computers.  Get rid of Norton and install Comodo Internet Security instead.  Make sure that when you get rid of the plague of Norton, you get the Norton Removal tool and run twice.  Also, make sure that manually enter you your folder program files and delete all Norton and Symantec files and use a program like Malwarebytes file Assassin to get rid of the persistent process who do not want to delete.

Then use CCleaner (and ONLY CCleaner - do not download or install any other system cleaners or registry mechanic) for cleaning your system and use Revo Uninstaller to remove any extra crapware that is installed on your machine.  Be sure to remove any software from Apple and get rid of all Windows Live software.

Finally, you'll want to disable several Windows processes that eat up RAM unnecessarily.  These include Sync Windows, Windows Defender and Windows Action Center.

Follow all the advice and you should find that your computer is running a lot faster.
