I spoke several times with Norton. System Restore was successful a couple of times, but Norton that was in place during this period is no longer present. I'm exploited only in safe mode and do not know how this works, either; It's very limiting. COMPUTER geeks have determined that no virus or hard drive interest. The computer is unbelievably slow without safe mode, as so well to exploit. It started mid-October with a Windows Update. Norton has been reinstalled and worked for several weeks until another Windows update. I uninstalled and reinstalled Norton until I'm blue in the face and it's still wobbly. Windows says falsely download has virus and will not back down no matter what! Help!
When Ie I have to pop up box at the bottom of the screen it says security running - then said download a virus and was eliminated. This goes for any kind of download weather it is a program or PDF etc. I have entered the settings and click on reset - it makes it quicker, but still does not allow & removes downloads.

When I turn on my computer laptop windows vista, the screen «updates not configured...» "stays on and won't. Seriously, I was sitting there for five hours, trying to make it disappear. I tried to reboot in safe mode, last known good configuration etc. I don't have a Windows Vista disc, but I really need all the files on the computer for school work. I'm sure you'll enjoy it, it's almost time review and I would be devastated to lose all my tickets!

I recently had to take my computer out of the box state. I now try to give CS 5.5 on it with the disc. I put the disc in and it makes noise but nothing ever comes with a screen prompt to run the disk. How can I get that back on my computer? I run windows 7. Thanks for any help...
