myRIO Brightness LED

Hi all

I did a way to control not only the brightness of the embedded myRIO LEDs, but their brightness using PWM and control.

I have attached the FPGA VI for the myRIO-it may need to be compiled.

Suggestions are welcome!

I think your VI could be considerably simplified! I suppose that it was an exercise for you and you are looking for some comments?

(1) you can delete local variables (using FPGA fabric) and just the brightness adjustment of thread to Wait (uSec) directly - plug the wire in each of them.

(2) having a button 'stop' on the FPGA code really makes no sense... you can always code to continue to operate... otherwise you would need to reset the FPGA (which is in contrast with the programming in windows where you still want to stop the loop gracefully rather than abandoning it--don't forget not what a FPGA essentially an electronic circuit when compiling)

(3) why you have additional sequences with an expectation of 1uSec to? You might just have ' turn on '-> 'wait'-> 'disable'-> 'wait '.

(4) having 4 loops for the variation of some LEDs seems unnecessarily repeated code... If you wanted to get really smart I don't know that you could simplify the code down to a single loop!

    Hello

Here are some things to check.

    1. right click of the battery icon in the toolbar and select Power Options.  Select "Change plan settings" next to your current power plan selected.  In the next window, click "change advanced power settings".

In the next window, expand "Display", and "Enable adaptive brightness" - put this on disabled for both "on battery" and "Plugged in"

Click apply and then click Ok to save any changes.

2 open windows control panel and on the top right, next to the display by: select "large icons".  In the new page layout, select Intel HD Graphics.  Click the power and in the next screen, select on battery in the left pane - under the Display Power Saving Technology option, put on Disable.  Click on apply and then OK to save any setting changes.

  • myRIO - problems when using onboard LED

    Hello

for some reason, I can't not lit on board LED. I try to use a block of myRIO-> default-> LED FPGA personality. Block properties, I chose LED0. Then I create a Boolean constant and the value is FALSE. After that I wire to LED0 port. When I run the application, the LED is not lit. Previously mentioned block is inside a loop timed, who works for sure.

  • Keys on my laptop Aspire of F5 FN brightness control - 573 stopped working.

Hello, can someone point me in the right direction to solve the following problem.

I just bought an Acer Aspire F5-573-52MU computer laptop and a week after the purchase (September 2016) my Fn Hotkey no longer works when I try to increase or decrease the brightness (Fn + left or right), but it still works when I adjust the Volume (Fn + up or down).

I also did a full factory reset (as suggested by the ACER Support), but nothing helps?

Needless to say, the screen is very bright and with no control over brightness led to a faster discharge of the battery. If someone had a similar problem on this model, any suggestions to remedy this would be welcome?

It seems that MS Win10 auto update "could possibly have updated the driver ' creating a loss of the functionality of the shortcut key. This would also explain why my factory reset/install failed fix?

Replaced the monitor driver manually in the Device Manager by selecting the generic PnP monitor version. PROBLEM SOLVED, Yah!  Although I think that this problem may happen again on the next update (I hope not)!

    Anyway this cured my problem...

  • PCI-8335 (MXI-3) when the fiber is connected to the map PCI8335-> PC freezes

If, during startup, the fiber is not connected, the PC starts and everything works normally (with the exception of the communication and the application of National Instruments because the fiber is not connected)
If I plug the fiber when the PC is completely started, 2 bright LEDs; then when I run the application, MX-3, the PC freezes.
Map of the PCI-8335 is down or is this another problem? Thanks in advance for your help.

    Hi all

The installation still work since my repair on 10 September 2015. After that analysis with National Instruments France, the likely cause of the failure is that, during a power outage (storm or stop because of the fire detection device) the remote PXI chassis stopped but not the PC because it's on the inverter.

/ ! ------PXI / PCI chassis should be launched before the PC; order to operate the 2 switches in the chassis does not matter.

During my last speech (10 September), I so reset the chassis and restart the PC after the chassis (IE in the correct order) and since everything is working. This is the solution.

    Hello

I plan to upgrade our six-year, computer desktop to a new laptop.  Currently I have Photoshop CS2, but seek to upgrade to Photshop CS5 and possible Creative Suite 5 Standard.  Most of the time, I believe that the specifications of the computer, that I'm looking should be OK, but I'm not sure of the graphics card and join verification on other specifications.  Here are the specifications of the computer.  I would appreciate comments about any changes in the specifications if one of them is the wrong choice.  I don't want to go too far, but want to make sure that programs are working well.

4 gigabytes of memory is not really enough to properly run a 64-bit version of Windows. Either use Windows 7 32 - bit or much better, install 8 GB of memory. 64 bit versions of Windows have a threshold of memory much more than the 32-bit version. So, you win anything with 4 gigabytes and 64-bit Windows.

Everything else in the system specs would be quite appropriate to run Photoshop CS5 or Creative Suite Design Standard CS5.

  • Equium P200D - reduce the brightness of the indicators before LED

I have a laptop Toshiba Equium P200D-139, model number PSPBNE-004003KS model name.

The façade has four LED indicator, color blue and visible on the screen open or closed. They are for the input DC power, battery, and HARD drive.

    _My problem and question: _

Led lights are extremely bright. In fact, they are so bright that they are a source of severe distraction, especially in a dark room. I'd say it's clearly a design flaw. They must be performed in a smaller current, be placed behind a darker filter. * Is it possible to reduce the intensity of the LEDS using software? * I was wondering if a command-line script or something similar may be available to do this - I did once something similar to toggle the CPU fan on my old Toshiba Satellite CT 210.

    _Background: _

I bought the laptop a few days ago (March 2008), for £399. Is for me very good report quality / price, but in my opinion it is rented by the above-mentioned design LED fault and a very cheap feeling keyboard, with keys that creak and stick to the opportunity. The built-in speakers are also low-power. I wonder if it is a version produced exclusively for this store at a certain price point and that these questions are unintentionally introduced?

    Thank you

    Hello rich

As a first step, I would like to say that I have the same model of laptop Satellite P200D-111. To be honest, I don't understand why write you about the problems. For me you just wrote on your personal opinion. It is logical that each of us has different opinions and I can understand you. But why all this set as a kind of design flaw. Sorry, but this is really ridiculous. Can you give me 100 different products and if I want to I'll find a design fault on each of them.

Back to your question: all you can do is disable the SATELLITE led (BIOS settings > advanced > last option) but all the other LEDs placed in the Middle cannot be disabled and the LED intensity can be reduced. You can use tape and cover these LEDs.

What about keyboard: I really don't have what you would expect. The keyboard is really stable and the buttons feel good. I use it for work and have really no problem at all.
In the end, you need to know for this money, you have very good laptop. If you need better quality, why you didn t buy laptop for £1000. As you know all laptop manufacturers have models of different laptops. It's your choice.

More money, better quality. But I still think that this Satellite P200D money is really good for laptop. Do you know that only Satellite/Equium P200 has 6 USB ports? Not bad! What do you think?

Good luck and enjoy this cute portable!

  • LED display flashes worrisome with a lower brightness

    Dear members,

I recently bought a laptop, Lenovo G550L with a view model backlit by LED BOEHydis HT156WXB-100 (according to 5.02 by Lavalys Everest). I'm unhappy with the computer itself, but there is one thing that really gives me a hard time. If I adjust the brightness of the backlight to one level other than maximum, it controls the brightness of the LED backlight clearly using Pulse-Width Modulation at very low frequencies according to the desired brightness. If I want to spare or on a dark night, I always turn down or its brightness is blinding kind of my eyes, at the same time these low frequencies with PWM causes my eyes to strain and sometimes I feel moderate headaches on the side. I am looking for a solution change the method of my LED blacklight or increase the PWM frequency.

I tried to address BOEHydis (now Hydis) with the problem by e-mail. BOE quoted me a representative Hydis, who wrote me that BOEHydis coexist more. With his help I was able to find the new website of the BOE and found this product on it. I them send a letter too, but haven't gotten a response yet.

The screen itself appears in Windows (XP, SP3) device as a standard Plug-and-Play monitorManager. My question is who is at - it software (or the same material) solution or a Advanced other driver for this type of screen that I can increase the PWM frequency or alter somehow brightness adjustment method?

    Thanks in advance,

    str4ngS

Contact lenovo hotline and ask for the replacement of the lcd screen.

(I know that some lcd displays may have a similar problem you have)

  • Why can't I adjust the brightness of the display on my M1330? (using Win7 & LED backlit)

I have an M1330 with the Intel graphics card and the backlight. I am running Windows 7 RC1. I cannot adjust the brightness of the screen at all in Windows Seven - no matter if I use the FN + up / FN + down keys, the brightness slider bar option in Windows, or adjust it in the bios. The backlight is 100% brightness, or turned off completely.

Does anyone know of a fix for this?
