N2000 and N3000 stacking cables

Hello

I have a small question.

0, 5 m, stacking of cables (N2000 and N3000 series) enough to connect the switches that are 2 RU independently of each other?

The plan is to have two panels of brewing between switches (24 p, 48p 2x24p, 48p, switch panel, switch panel,... and so on) and I'm not sure if 0, 5 m battery cables will be sufficient or do I go with cables of 1 m... on the pictures it looks like connectors are long enough and I'm not sure if 0.5 refers to the length of cable length of connectors witch included or not.

Kind regards

Jakub

Jakub

If the switches you are trying to stack are only 2RU apart, then all the support cables should work, including 0.5 m.  With the help of a cable management system, stacking more cables such as 3 m can allow routing around the patch panel ports.

  • How VLANs ' IP subnet ing works with based port of VLAN (series N2000 and N3000)

    Hi all

    I have a small pile of x N3024 2 acting as my heart L3 with a lag of 2 x 10 g down to a stack of x N2048 5 acting as L2 switch for my PC workstations.

Workstations are that all on the port assigned VLAN 10 (switchport access vlan 10). I have a bunch of developers who want to access without restrictions more or less to assign random IP addresses for their VM (Virtualbox and VMware) Workstation.  As you can imagine, I would like some control over this situation.  the powerconnect guide I described features of subnet IP VLAN but does not seem to enter in how it works and interacts with the port actually function vlan assignments.

What I currently have is the VLAN 10 assigned to a segment that support the subnet 172.100.x.x which dates back to our base of L3 for routing to other segments. What I want to do is to configure the VLAN based on IP and then load the dev is to config their VM with another IP range, say 10.10.x.x.

Theory here is, I set the L3 core with say 20 VLAN and an IP to register in L3 path between subnets and then configure the battery switch L2 workstation with IP - based VLAN to recognize 10.10.x.x and separate on VLAN 20.

However, I think the simplified here question is if I have a nail up to 10 ports VLAN, will the than basic work IP subnet VLANS as I want only it? Or, I need to create a subnet IP VIRTUAL local area network for the two IP ranges? I have to remove the assignenment VLAN per port and are based entirely on the treatment of subnet IP VLAN?

If there is a better RTFM on this topic you can tell me I would appreciate it

    Thank you!

I ended up calling specialists... great Dell technical support here.

In fact, the IP based VLAN works very close to what I want to achieve. Missing from the user guide is that the port needs to be in the mode. Ports using switch port mode and bound to a VLAN just didn't work... probably because the vlan IP based did not differ from the port binding. Dell support has suggested to use the trunk mode, but my answer is finished using the general mode; any traffic not referenced, PVID located my usual LAN vlan ID and acceptance of port traffic of new vlan based on IP. In this way, I'm able to have a physical host DHCP on the corporate LAN and a virtual machine on that host to bind to a different subnet which is then isolated in the new NAV based on IP.

I found the problem (s), even if I am always left with a few questions.

During this process, I have disabled the firewall, but that did not help. However, I noticed 'tweaks' accessed via the tab 'Advanced' in 'Microsoft Firewall' which looked like, they must be checked in order to access the internet. I checked these and reintroduced the firewall. After I got things working, I unchecked them and things still worked so I obviously don't understand what these parameters.

    The solution:

    (1) I have to go straight from the modem cable to the computer. I can't have a cable modem, router wireless, computer, even if using hard wire, and even if this same configuration works with another computer. Also, I can't use a cable length to go from modem to the computer. So, it seems to have had a problem of cable length. Power problem? Only connected to this computer devices are the mouse, the keyboard and the Ethernet. Would not this be fixed with an upgrade of the power supply? Or is it due to the quality of the Ethernet hardware on the motherboard? It's a Dell Vostro 200.

    (2) in back and forth between configurations while following the problem, you must think to unplug the modem to reset between each configuration. You may have stumbled upon the solution, otherwise he's not shot. Also, I unplugged the cable from the modem when you reset data cable - do not know if it was necessary. I wanted to limit the degrees of freedom that I had a lot, as it was.

  • This computer has an add-in graphics card and the monitor cable is plugged into the integrated video connector.

I tried to connect a new TV to my 8700 with HDMI and I get this message:

This computer has an add-in graphics card and the monitor cable is plugged into the integrated video connector.

    1. power off the computer
    2. plug the cable from the monitor into the graphics add-in card connector. This may require a video card or the video adapter cable.
    3. turn on the computer

I unplugged from the back of the computer and put it in my drive macbook & blu - ray. Both worked.

I tried to find a solution to this already, but none really helped.

    Thank you.

You need a video card, not the port on your computer HDMI connection:

  • The Dell N-series stacking cables

I spent the better part of a day trying to find all the part numbers for the stacking of cables for the N-series switches.  I seeks to stack two switches of N3048P, and I need a 2 meter cable.  I have one but need a second.  I thought I would ask experts!  I have a ton of switches N3000 and will need to stack them in different configurations of support so if I could find a list of parts for ALL the cables, this would help a lot.  Thanks in advance.

I bought my iPhone 5 s by T-Mobile and have 2 months left on the purchase. My phone no longer accepts a new presentation. Apple support ran a diagnostic and said it isn't the phone and that I should replace the cable. This was done and the problem remains. Everyone has to experience this problem? And, if so, what was the problem?

He likely is the phone, but you do Apple physically inspect it. Send it or take it to the Genius Bar. You can do one or the other of http://getsupport.apple.com.

  • Time Machine and Motorola SB6141 cable Modem is to create an internet break

I had a SB6141 since I got cable internet 1/2014.  I had hung by a former Airport Extreme Base Station - it was all good.  I bought a time machine from Apple refurb > 6 months ago but < 1 year ago.  I had injury disruptions of the internet - I only know when I try to access the internet and airport utility shows time machine ok, but the router cable not connected.   I called the cable company, the last time it happened, and they showed the line was ok and had me hang directly up to the cable modem to get online - and I did!  They think that the router is messed up.  Once I unplug everything and hang it up, everything is ok.  Sometimes it happens one or twice a day, sometimes not for a week, it's not rhyme or reason - anyone have any ideas?   Thank you, Mike George

The SB6141 is a good modem, and airport Time Capsule is a good router. But they don't seem to work together that well for a number of users including me.

Make your choice... keep the modem and try another router... or... keep the time Capsule and try another modem. As soon as you make your choice, the faster your chances for a reliable Internet connection.

You are not alone in your problems.  Take a look at just a sample of other users who have posted the same question:

  • How to install my HP OfficeJet G85 with Windows 7 (64-bit) and a parallel cable?

I have a PC that has Windows XP (sp-3), the HP OfficeJet G85, all works well with a parallel cable of the G85 to the computer.  I got the updated operating system upgraded to Windows 7 (64-bit).  Put everything back with my parallel cable, I installed the G85 on the computer and tried to print a page.  Nothing.  So far, help did not help and I'm getting nowhere.  Someone knows how to fix this?

I'm not sure if Win7 will come back to the parallel cable. Is there a reason any your using the parallel cable instead of USB? This printer driver is included in Windows 7, but AFAIK you must use a USB cable. Here are the instructions on how to install Win7 with a USB cable: the driver for your product is included in the Windows 7 operating system

    Good luck!

  • Card 3G and Bluetooth stack question - tecra M4

I'm having a problem getting a 3G vodafone card to work with a Toshiba Tecra M4.

The problem is that the card won't install properly on this laptop (with exclamation point appears in the Device Manager and additional ports appear under "ports", but none regarding 3G card - it should be two features of card 3G appearing in the section "ports" in the Device Manager - at least there on the Portege) card works fine on a Toshiba Portege.

The advice I received from the supplier was to disable the bluetooth card in the Device Manager, and then uninstall the Toshiba Bluetooth stack, then delete Vodafone software, reboot, and reinstall the Vodafone software. Finally to reinstall the bluetooth stack.

I followed these instructions and everything seemed ok (this appararurent device to be picked up correctly in Device Manager) until I reinstalled the battery bluetooth how I was in the box start.

Is this a known issue with Toshiba Tecras and you know any solution?

    Hello

As far as I know that there is a new update for Toshiba Bluetooth Stack version 4.00.23
I recommend you to test. Perhaps the new version solves the problem.

In addition, you can visit this Web of Toshiba Bluetooth site:
    http://APS.toshiba-tro.de/Bluetooth/

You will find a contact form to get in touch with Toshiba Bluetooth support.
    There you can descript comments.

  • problem with media center and digital map cable ATI

Installed a tuner with a media center W7 ATI digital cable.  Cable company (Cablevision) active the card and check the signal, all OK.  Several problems. First of all, on channels it tells me that I need to activate windows that has already been done.  In the second place, on channels not premium I only get standard definition not hi-def.  With my old card of clear QAM tuner, I had hi-def on non coded station.  Verify all the information cable card and everything is ok.

Did you run the digital cable Advisor in Media Center Extras Gallery and
    enable digital cable support?

If this has been done with success and you still have problems:

Where did you get the ATI DCT and he points out what firmware? You can check
    This in the network window.

  • Linksys 8-port befsr81b and CR-smcd3g cable/dsl router

    Hello

WAN port on my linksys befsr81b router is connected to comcast cable modem smcd3g-ccr, all the cable modem ports are in auto mode and when I connect to the cable modem it shows 10 Mbps, half-duplex, for this linksys router port is connected to.

When I connect a PC to the same port on the modem using the same wiring, I get 1000Mbps, full duplex.

He tells me that the router and modem cable have difficulties at ports the correct port mode. When I change from auto to 100 Mbit/s, two-way, cable modem, the router disconnects and the link light for the modem port shuts.

I use the version of the firmware 2.45.10, June 3, 2004, on linksys router, which seems to be the latest firmware for befsr81b.

Can someone tell me what could be wrong with my router or its settings?

    Thank you

It will not work. The WAN port on the BEFSR81B working on 10Mbps.

  • How to enter a wireless signal and convert Ethernet cable?

I'm totally bafled by the nomenclature of wireless gadgets and would appreciate help. I already have a wireless router that allows my laptop work anywhere in my house. My need is to recover the wireless signal and somehow get this signal into an Ethernet cable.

The reason is that my DVR (Replay TV) connects to Internet via Ethernet (not USB) cable and I want to move to a place where it would be impractical to try the new wiring through the walls.

    Thank you!

You need a "wireless ethernet bridge", like the WET54G, WET200 or WET610N.  Once you set up the device, just wire your DVR to it.
