N2000 Temperature SNMP

Is it possible to query the system temperature (what saw in HS system temp) on snmp?

Try to replace the last digit of the OID a 5, and then add un.1.  I did a snmpwalk on my N3xxx running firmware 6.2, see

C:\SnmpWalk>snmpwalk-V2C public-c 192.168.1.1

. 1.3.6.1.4.1.674.10895.5000.2.6132.1.1.43.1.8.1.5.1

ISO.3.6.1.4.1.674.10895.5000.2.6132.1.1.43.1.8.1.5.1.1 = INTEGER: 33

who are the same temperatures displayed in OpenManage Switch Administrator UI website, under system > General > health > temperature sensors.

    Hello

I want to monitor the State of a switch Dell PowerConnect 2824 using SNMP. I have trouble finding the proper MIBS.

Edit: I managed to access the switch through the web interface and am SNMP receives traps as expected.

    2) whose identifiers are available for monitoring: power, temperature, load, connections, faults, etc.? Where can I find the MIB files? Or documentation explaining the use of more detailed?

Advice or documentation links are appreciated.

    Thank you.

The MIB file is included in the download for the firmware.

    Thank you for your help

    Hello

Can you try to set up OMNM like this http://en.community.dell.com/support-forums/network-switches/f/866/t/19535001.aspx

Set up two profiles of authentication in OMNM. ((1) SNMP v1/v2c and used the SNMP community string, I put on the Force 10 switch 2) Telnet/SSH using the switches telnet user ID, password and the password 'Enable' leaving him activate ID empty.

  • List of SNMP OID of the PowerConnect switches

    Hello

I was wondering if anyone could can give advice on this survey, like all my research and investigations have not until this product no result.

I conclude on a significant deployment for a customer who has a mixture of 80xx PowerConnect 62xx, 55xx and M8024K blade, M6348 switches. All switches are deployed and operational, and we are now trying to set the SCOM server to use SNMP to retrieve events etc. of the switches.

the problem is that I couldn't find SNMP OID anywhere to concerned, switches that are required. the events that we want to keep an eye on relate to connect the downs, lag switch, battery, authentication and critical failures for the models.

There is no requirement for the consumption of its use, of temperature, fan or CPU power or memory, so they are not needed.

Are there SCOM management packs that might help out here?

Any advice or pointers will be greatly appreciated.

    Cheers.

    Richter,

Looks like you just need to install traps to send alerts to your SCOM server.  Normally, to see the things that you listed as changes to links, lag, batteries, authentication failures and other critical changes of your switches, it is not necessary ask an OID.  All the these can be controlled automatically traps.  The processor, memory, temp, fan and power you listed are in a different category, because they are all sensors in the switch that can send a trap when a threshold is reached, but can also be queried for exact measurements.  Traps are easier to use than to the vote an OID and let you keep an eye on the areas that you mentioned.  To install traps, set your community on your switches string and the management server, enable all traps and configure your management as your recipient of the host server.  The commands are:

(config) #snmp - known private community server

(config) #snmp - server enable traps all

    (config) #snmp - private host 10.10.10.5 Server

I hope it's useful for you.

  • CiscoWorks LMS 4.1 monitor temperature

    Hello everyone!

I am creating a poller to monitor the trap of the temperature of my cisco catalyst 2960 Ciscoworks LMS 4.1.

I created a snmp trap on my device:

    Switch(conf-t) # snmp-server <@IP_server_LMS>SNMPv2c host -I use SNMPv2c

Switch(conf-t) # Server enable snmp traps envmon temperature

I created a MIB model Envmon with these variables:

    -ciscoEnvMonTemperatureThreshold

    -ciscoEnvMonTemperatureStatusValue
    -ciscoEnvMonTemperatureState
    -ciscoEnvMonTemperatureLastShutdown

I created a poller associated with my model, I add my device and when I click on 'Next', I have this error message:

    ###

No instance are in the devices. This could be because the device is inaccessible, the device does not have the case for selected models or the timeout value is low.

    ###

Could someone explain to me why I can't monitor MIB?

Thanks for your consideration and Merry Christmas to all!

It seems that most of the 2960 have a temperature sensor implemented in hardware and therefore, it shows no values.

If a device does not show anything on CLI, it is almost impossible that it will display something via SNMP.

    -Thank you

  • Generate SNMP traps for monitoring tests

    Hi all

We would like to test our network management system effectively.

We have configured SNMP. But as we cannot generate some breakdowns that we want to generate some test traps.

Could you tell me if there is a way to generate the CLI for i.e. false SNMP traps?

Ideally, we would like to test things like: excess temperature, the FAN failure, failure of power, etc...

    Any help would be appreciated,

Thank you very much in advance

Sorry I see you wanted traps, not sys records my bad, so try this link https://supportforums.cisco.com/docs/DOC-11745

  • C220M3 - implementation of MMIC SNMP

    Aloha,

I'm trying to hardware monitoring of the UCS (mainly energy and temperature) using the agent running on the Council MMIC SNMP.

I can * sometimes * reading MIB values (. iso.3.6.1.4.1.9.9.719.1.9.14.1.2.1 for example), but then the SNMP agent is suspended and can not return all values under the private branch. (back to the top of the three working example:. iso.3.6.1.2.1.1.4.0)

Looking at the CIMC log, I see that the SNMP agent is crash and reboot:

    BMC:SNMP - subagentd:7347 NET-SNMP version 5.5 AgentX subagent connected

Basically, I can do a foot or a get, retrieve the values and wait for the agent to restart...

I tried to capture the packets when the officer broke down. I see a response generated from the MMIC IP with a status of "No Such Object". It seems that the basic SNMP daemon still works, but the link to the MMIC followed material broken.

    I'm on firmware 1.5 (1 d)

Any help or feedback would be greatly appreciated.

    Christophe,

I have seen this before and that the developers have said is to "use the MMIC as the first surveillance tool", because you can see that connected the fault correctly.

Could you please open a Service request so that the TAC can see what is happening, explain and possibly open a bug for that?  Otherwise, it will be difficult for cause us to fix it, if the customer who must deal only not in contact with us, without doubt that the problem will not be heard, so a case of TAC is the best option.

  • Foglight and Dell Open Manager Application to monitor temperatures

I would like to know how I would be able to use Foglight to monitor Dell servers.

For example I'd like to monitor the temperature. These servers have Dell Open Manager installed on then. Can use/get Foglight all alerts to Dell Open manager?

You can use the SNMP integration to monitor traps HW via Foglight.  Check out this post for a primer http://en.community.dell.com/techcenter/performance-monitoring/foglight-administrators/f/4788/t/19552981.aspx

So now, don't answer 4 OID on a single server.   2 x power supply status of power and the General temperature (temperature and status).  Others respond like systemname, lan, raid, State of the processor status.

When I stop the service on this server, all snmp oid stop responding.  I did the same test on another and it s the same.  But when I run this service.  Do not answer these OID 4.  But on the other, Yes.

    Any idea?

    Thank you very much

    Max

It is resolved.  I reinstall.  There was something missing in open manage.

    I can close this thread.

    Thank you

  • 3750G battery. SNMP-walk results were inconsistent with 'show env '.

    Hello guys,.

    ---

I try to follow separately 2 switches in a stack of 2-switch and unfortunately not able to find the corresponding temp OID of the STACKWISE-MIB/STACK-MIB/ENVMON-MIB. None of these mibs compelled the info of the temperature.

STACKWISE mib contans the Temp table, however, when I try to question him, he didn't simply returns me "no value in the table.

    ---

My question is this: I did snmp-market on my device and I get info, I don't see in my 3750 G switch.

For example, the section alarm returns me the value 1 (in snmp-market results), but I have no alarm in the system (in fact I do not even have a way to check that, because the command 'show env' includes not section alarms, alarms, see how easy does not exist nor)

Or for example feeding returns me also 'other', while the command shows 'Show env' POWER is OK.

The research of the CISCO-STACK-mib SNMP-WALK.

Can someone tell me if snmp-walk is a sure way to search for all available OID a device contains another query or it may happen that a device has written an incorrect info in these variables.

    Thank you very much!!

What I found the search OID is CISCO-ENVMON - MIB:ciscoEnvMonTemperatureStatusValue

I have it works on 3750 X 122 - 55.SE7 running. It doesn't seem to work on a 3750G running the same version of the code.

    Here is my result:

    [[email protected] / * / ~] $ / usr/bin/snmpwalk - v 2 c - c word of PAST 3750 X CISCO-ENVMON - MIB:ciscoEnvMonTemperatureStatusValue

    CISCO-ENVMON - MIB:ciscoEnvMonTemperatureStatusValue.1006 = Gauge32: 25 degrees Celsius

    [[email protected] / * / ~] $ / usr/bin/snmpwalk - v 2 c-c word of PAST 3750 G CISCO-ENVMON - MIB:ciscoEnvMonTemperatureStatusValue

CISCO-ENVMON - MIB:ciscoEnvMonTemperatureStatusValue = No. Such Instance already exists for this OID

The closest I could get to monitoring temperature on the 3750G is the temperature alarm.

    [[email protected] / * / ~] $ / usr/bin/snmpwalk - v 2 c - c PASSWPRD 3750 G chassisTempAlarm

    CISCO-STACK - MIB:chassisTempAlarm.0 = INTEGER: off (1)

    Information of CISCO-STACK - MIB.my

    chassisTempAlarm OBJECT-TYPE

    SYNTAX INTEGER {}

    OFF (1),-normal temperature

    -range

    We (2),-temperature too high

    Critical (3) - critical temperature,.

    -System imminent

  • MacBook Pro lights at room temperature.

    Hello

I had this problem with my late 2008 unibody Macbook Pro since last year that he only turns on when I use a blow dryer and blow directly to the logic board to increase its temperature to above 70 ° c/160 degrees Fahrenheit.

I only found on this quick fix to turn it on a few days ago, before I had kept on for several months and as long as it's on it's a machine works well without any problems no matter what was the temperature of House of logic. I brought in a genius bar earlier for a verification of the material but they could not identify any problems.

Any idea of what this could be the cause?

    Thank you.

Just speculating, but maybe a cold or damaged joint to weld. When you heat, parts develop a connection. Cold, parts of contract, leaving a void in the weld joint.

Take it to an authorized for assessment service center. Don't forget that your 2008 computer can be obsolete: Vintage and obsolete products - Apple Support

  • Room temperature for SSD - iMac 2011

I had a company local 'geek' install a 1 TB Samsung EVO 850 SSD in my iMac 2011 after the factory 1 TB WD HDD went belly upwards. The iMac works fine after installation, but the fan runs continuously. I think (and check with technician) they have not connect the thermal sensor that I understand other forums, there is a spare cable. anyway. I installed Mac Fan Control, which was extremely easy and place the SSD fan to operate "sensor value based on '-'Ambient '. the default value for the SSD shows the temperature the fan will begin to increase is 75 degrees F, with a temperature Max to 95 degrees f. once set the fan has appeased and now always so gently purr, but I wonder if the settings are correct.

The Question: what would be the temperature for a SDS now in an iMac 2011? are the default settings listed above in the correct range? where can I find this info. I searched on the web...

    Thanks in advance.

The vendor who installed the SSD correct wiring, the fan control installation should work (although I don't recommend generally), but the seller must install things correctly. after 2009 iMacs had HD with temporary sensors integrated in the HD, your SSD does not only so you are correct in your statement that he needs the heat sensor wire. OWC provides one with their kits.

BTW, if you have taken your computer to Best Buy, which was your first mistake. I would not let any tech BBY within 5 miles of my equipment.

  • iMac at VERY high temperature

Is it a good idea for a temperature GPU iMac to go above 80 degrees and sometimes reach 90?

    If this Celsius, then no..

    These times are not good.

    Your iMac is overheating.

Maybe all the different events are hooked upward with the dust and fluff?

Maybe the inside of your iMac and its internal fans are inlaid upward with the dust, dirt and lint, too.

If it's that get hot, it's time to look at have your iMac diagnosed and repaired.

Your iMac may be required for some services to an Apple Retail Store or Apple authorized service center.

I saw just that it's a fairly new iMac.

How long have you had this?

Do you have AppleCare on this iMac?

Out of curiosity, when the time of your iMac get this high, what the room temperature where your iMac?
