  First post here. I work for a large company and I am the 'rookie' of the service infrastructure. The company I represent have about 500 sites which about 85% have installed Dell Power Edge 310 servers. We seek to deploy Dell Open manage through the estate to monitor the performance of the server etc etc. I had to know if we could use it on other server brands, such as Fujitsu, HP and IBM.  In our data center, we use HP servers.

  So my question is could we use Dell manage open on other servers from manufacturers? And we could use it with the ILO? I know other programs of management software for the likes of HP etc etc, but as you can see I am, to say the least, a bit out of my depth.

  Any help/advice/guidance would be greatly appreciated.

  No, OMSA works on Dell supported running OS servers.  In other words, that it will work on:

  • non-Dell servers
  • If other computers (including Dell)
  • Servers not made Dell supported operating systems (client OS (XP, V, 7, 8), including the lack of Service Packs)

• Do I need creative cloud with CS5 app? When I tried to open Manager application, it updated to CC.

  After retiring, I couldn't open Manager application since CC app was missing, but when I searched for updates via Photoshop it normally open AM. Can I remove CC app?

  Edit: CC app opens whenever I connect to my computer, and I'm really worried about her... If I need CC to the application manager to work correctly, at least disable it somehow?

I know that I need to update the bundle off line Dell manage open to a newer version to run on ESXi 4.1.   I tried to access the management system opened on our hyper-v Server today, but my manager told me that there is no such thing as a version of open management, for the PE2950 on Windows Server R2 2012 and it is out there for something fancy like a R6 * / 7 * /-8 *.

  I know it's there because I installed it in the last company I did part of the management, but for the life of me, only two years later, I can not understand where we got the original installation to do this.

  I downloaded installed three or four to manage open on the page drivers for our service number, but one of them came with "[I'm just a patch]" and the other three have indicated that they were not compatible. Even if we set the operating system to Windows Server 2012 R2, it always gives me "for 32-bit node,' then maybe we're missing something else.

  I am hoping to win the lottery here and have a Dell technician take pity on me and direct me to a FTP location I can give to my manager so that we can get this software down to all the systems in our network.

  I can't be the only person who has faced this issue, but I may be the only person who was not able to fix it on their own.

  Fake. You will find it at support.Dell.com, select your system, change the selection in the drop-down list of OS, then check out managing systems for OpenManage Server Administrator (Managed Node). The 32-bit version is fine and installation of WoW 64-bit operating systems will be activated (all except the ' core' by default).

The adobe application manager window opens, I click on connect, it activates, new window and I click continue (normally indesign open at this stage). App Manager gets stuck in a loop me in signing and clicking on continue. I uninstalled the software and reinstalled. I deleted the file in the library folder, such as recommended. But still nothing works. Any help would be appreciated as have to work this weekend.

  Try following the steps below.

  1. log in at the VMAs with privileges and the administrator rights.
  2. copy the file OM-SrvAdmin-Dell-Web-6.5.0-542907.VIB-ESX50i_A02.zip in the folder/var/log/vmware on the server ESXi5.0.
  3. turn off all comments on the ESXi host operating systems and run the ESXi host in maintenance mode.
  4. in vMA, run the following command:
  esxcli - Server software vib install d/var/log/vmware /
  5. type the username root and the password of the ESXi host when you are prompted. The output of the command shows a successful update.
  6. restart the ESXi host system.

• Getting started with Open manage the essential problem of Server Data Sources

  I installed a server for and with Open Manage Server Essentials... discovered my network and found a lot of good servers... 1 server has a green check mark and you can see in the Data Source, it uses the administrator of the server with the Version 7.1.0. I downloaded the OMSA node in 7.4.0.2 on another server, etc. SNMP installed and the server is located with a gray question mark and the data source is an Agent of Version 2.0 of Windows Hardware... is anyone has any advice how to handle? And want to install server after the server to see it in OME centrally on a single management server...

  OK, so make sure you check out the first installation tutorial in the console of the OME.

  1. you must on the box, so 7.4 OMSA's fine.

  2. be sure that you did the necessary SNMP parameters in the box of the OMSA (services.msc, SNMP, accept any host paackets - or use the ip address).

  3. you can use the tool for troubleshooting Dell desktop OME to test SNMP connectivity to the server with OMSA on it.

  4. I think that the FAQ (delltechcenter.com/ome) contains some tips in the discovery section (3.4)?

• Manager application Update error Code A12E4!

  OK first of all, im on a new mac and yes I looked everywhere online for the solution and all the adobe can say is trying to reinstall, I updates, yes I downloaded and reinstalled the last crib request, Yes, I have used the cleaning tool, and yes I have reinstalled. When the application manager is opened; It automaticly will update, shows a progress bar and then stops and says "we encountered the following problems: Sorry, the program is not responding properly (error code: A12E4)... I can't even open Manager application without him this automatically and to reach this error message.

  I lost hours of my life trying to solve this problem, I don't think I should have to jump through all these hoops with an im program pay for. This clearly isn't a problem on my side, his side adobes, can you fix this you problem?... Im very disappointed, adobe is suppost to have services and professional products of high quality.

  If anyone knows of a real solution could you please help me?

  Please follow the steps:

  1. navigate to/Library/Application Support / Adobe / OOBE and rename it to OOBE.old

  2. enable the root account: http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1528 and connect to root

  3 disable any security software if installed on Mac

  4. Download desktop www.creative.adobe.com CC and try to install it.

• Application of monitor Dell DDM with U2515H and U2412M dual screen setup and USB drive menu

  I have U2515H and U2412M independently connected with DP cable to GTX960 video card.

  Two questions;

  1.

  I have the latest driver display and the last Application of monitor Dell DDM.  It detects U2515H OK but not U2412M.   necessary on the menu OSD is activated but still no go.    Is - this known issue?

  2.

  Also with U2515H, curiously section USB tab energy on screen Menu (the one who press the button) is grayed out.  Can not choose how the power of USB hub behave when the screen goes into sleep mode?    What cause this menu to be grayed out?    Factory reset has no effect on this menu item.

  Be aware that U2515H has been replaced by Dell last Friday with monitor construction January because the one originally, I got a defect on the bezel mounting, but this USB menu was selectable.   It was built in April/205.

  There is no U2414M. Do you mean the U2412M? If so, the U2412M is not supported. It was an error in the web. DDM requires a year of Dell 2013 model year or newer.

  There is no U25125H or U2525H. Do you mean the U2515H? From the U2515H Manual page 41 =
  USB
  Allows you to enable or disable the USB function standby monitor.

  NOTE: USB power standby mode is available only when the USB upstream cable is disconnected. This option will be grayed out when the USB cable upstream traffic in.
