N7J89EA #ABU: upgrading Windows 10 home
I have a new x 360 convertible N7J89EA #ABU running Windows Home 10. I have an MSDN subscription, I want to upgrade to Pro 10 Windows so that I be supported in the field.
Is it possible to do this upgrade of the home installed Windows 10, or do I have to install Windows 10 Pro on bare metal?
Hi André,.
You're probably not an issue experienced answer to have this exact model to upgrade (stage pro) via MSDN on this site, as most of us are just enthusiasts who volunteer.
But I guess that's fine since you are mainly just unlock functions not given in the original version.
You will want to upgrade first, then if she runs into a problem, CLEAN install after.
I'm sure you already know how that works well and make sure to create a copy of recovery for safety, in case recovery partition link gets broken and you have to go back.
Personally, after I updated, I pass on a SSD and pure install just if he would fly.
But that's just my humble opinion.

I'm unable to upgrade Windows Vista Home Basic SP2 to Windows 7 Home Premium.
I am trying to upgrade Windows Vista Home Basic SP2 to Windows 7 Home premium. The compatibility report indicates no problem, except that the keyboard filter stops working after the upgrade. It is just information and no error, so I continued. In the 'Windows Update' step during the "collection of files, settings and programs" in point 32%, I get "Windows has stopped working" pop up and the only option given is "close the program". Tried twice with the same results at the same point. Help, please.

Upgrade Windows 7 Home Edition to Ultimate
I use a HP desktop computer, model p6310f, who is about 2 years old and comes with Windows 7 Home Premium installed. He also seems to be the 64-bit version (which is indicated in the computer system "Properties" section.
I plan to upgrade to Windows Ultimate.
Is it possible to switch to the x 86 version (32-bit), or do I have to upgrade to x 64?
More important still, can anyone recommend which is a better choice?
I also intend to improve all my MS software, and the same question applies to the Agency and other packages? Any recommendations on whether to go with versions 32 or 64 bits?
Appreciate any comment there...
Thank you
You must install the 64-bit version.
Your computer comes with 6 GB of RAM that need this version of Windows in order to be fully utilized. -
Is it possible to upgrade Windows XP Home Edition Service Pack 1 has to Service Pack 3?
I have the original disc of the product. It came as Windows XP SP1a. At in the past (a few years ago), I've upgraded to SP2. I started to receive a STOP error message. I tried to repair the installation of Windows XP Edition family. I can't say for sure right now, but it seems that SP2 just disappeared..., do not know immediately. I always face the STOP error.
When I get things and rerun, can I put SP1a directly to SP3? I don't know the rules relating to the upgrade.
Ask the same question in a different way..., can I've actually updated to SP3 Service Pack while jumping on SP2?
Windows XP Home Edition has always been easy to use. I wouldn't lose it.
The answer could be just a YES or a no thank you for your time.
I don't know the rules relating to the upgrade.

Windows upgrade Windows 7 Home Premium to Windows 7 Professional
Can upgrade you Windows 7 Home Premium to Windows 7 Professional using the full version of Windows 7 Professional with Windows anytime upgrade?
Please note that the Express upgrade does not support OEM, MSDN-Academic, Volume (the student faculty licenses) license. If you are in position of all these brackets, you will need to save and do a custom clean install. If you do, please save first your installation of Windows 7 Home Premium. Some licenses for the Windows licenses distributed to tertiary level students are not perpetual, which means that you cannot continue to use the software after a course or graduating.

Hello - I have a computer with Win7 Home Premium 64-bit installed OEM directly from the manufacturer.
My University Bookstore offers Microsoft Windows 7 Ultimate Upgrade 32/64 - bit (English) (Student Option) - download
at a reduced price, but the description says:
Use this table to determine if you should make a bet to level or custom (clean) installation.

I am a bit confused by this description and hope someone can help me to clarify. I'd like to be able to do an upgrade so that I don't have to fuss with all the files I have and avoid the relocation of all my backup software. Thanks for any idea that anyone can provide.
If I do the custom Setup, please indicate on the measures to be taken. Thanks again.
To do as it says, the on-screen instructions are clear, and you should ALWAYS back up the data before making any major changes.
Note that an upgrade installation or custom are considered a MAJOR change... :-)
