Name of the wireless connection

I reset my router to the default settings, and I noticed that my network name changed "DS912" to "DS912 2" How do I remove the number at the end of the name of my network? It always seems to happen whenever I have reset my router and the name of the network follows the number sequence whenever I have reset my router or I reinstall or install a new OS.

I'm not aware of any approved method (or other) in order to avoid the consecutive numbering of the networks and I really don't see why it should be a problem. If I was forced to deal with it, then I create a restore point, and then delete all unwanted network names registry and duck for cover. Maybe it will work, maybe it won't, maybe he will have unexpected side effects.

  • Re: Satellite L670 loses the wireless connection

    Hello

I have a Satellite L670 - 1 H 1, a new laptop that runs Windows 7, with all the drivers and software uptodate, including the wireless card.

I have a BT Home Hub 3 with an Edimax EW 7416APN v2 300 m range extender to help boost the signal in the kitchen area.

The laptop works fine when I stay in the room where the reception centre. If I move in the kitchen the laptop will usually lose the wireless connection after a few minutes and I cannot get it back unless I turn the LAPTOP works and return to the Home Hub.

I see no obvious reason to this problem. Two other laptop computers used in the home, more a smartphone stay connected with full signal in every corner of the House, at any time.

I have to use the range extender, but is it possible that the laptop Toshiba just don't hear well with it?

    Any advice would be welcome.

    Thank you

    Hello Canton

As you know quality of connection WLAN depends on different factors is not easy to say why you have this problem, WLAN. I use Toshiba laptops for a long time now and I didn't notice in the past some serious question of WLAN.
For example I'm 4 router with standard g and have very good signal even in the cellar too or out in the back yard.

If possible, try to test the WLAN connection elsewhere. Maybe your friends have WLAN routers so you can test it.

You have a new router or old?
What WLAN standard do you use (b/g/n)?

  • Satellite L505-13F - impossible to activate the wireless connection

Hello, I have connectivity problems with my Satellite L505-13F.

I can't turn on the wireless connection. I press Fn + F8 and nothing happens. The indicator at the bottom of the laptom turns on.

I though this would be a problem with the drivers. I downloaded realtek wlan driver here [http://aps2.toshiba-tro.de/wlan/?page=downloads], but it has not installed correctly. Then I used the toshiba software installer, but yet again, nothing has changed. I have Windows 7 Home premium 64-bit.

Device management, I have seen that I installed a wifi driver. (Realtek RTL8191SE Wirelless Lan...) So, what the problem is?

    Any suggestions?

    Hey,.

Something happens if you press other keys FN or FN + F8 doesn't work only? Normally with this key combination you can enable/disable wireless network card.

In addition, it would be interesting to know what happens if you are looking for WLAN networks. You see your WLAN router?

If all the keys FN n t work, reinstall the package of added value and utility to Support Flash Cards. Otherwise, it could be another problem and you should reinstall the driver again and make sure the firewall isn't blocking the connection.

    See you soon

  • all-in-one 7510 loses the wireless connection

We just bought a HP Photosmart 7510. She created fine with a wireless connection to our office for Vista 64-bit. After awhile, he loses the wireless connection. If I close the printer then turn on again, it resets the connection and works very well. I read that it can lose connection if it goes into sleep mode, and it seems that is what is happening. My question is, is there a way to keep the impression of loss of connection or enter the mode 'sleep'? Or do we have to put the printer only whenever we wanted to print, copy or scan? If so, the printer is adjustable to disable instead of switch mode 'sleep'?

Already set to 'off '. I found this thread http://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/Printer-Networking-and-Wireless/7510-photosmart-printer-energy-mode/m-p/1230681/highlight/true#M33814 I tried this and so far it works and has not lost its connection.

  • Repairs on the wireless connection

I have a Dell dimension and we have wireless broadband via a router. In this computer, the connection with the browser keeps turn off even if the wireless connection says "excellent". We must repair the connection to the internet to relive. We use Windows XP Pro SP3. This problem will not occur with any other laptop or computer in the House.

    Hi Tinker7,

    Method 1

This problem may occur if theenable IEEE 802. 1 X authentication for this network check box is selected. If this box is checked, but there is no server to authenticate the connection is interrupted. If you turn on the wireless network connection, it disconnects again after a short period.

  • Inspiron N5110 loses the wireless connection

My Inspiron N5110 loses the wireless connection frequently. The Intel Centrino Wireless - N 1030 adapter works ONLY on 2.4 GHz

How to connect to your wireless router I use these settings to the recommended wireless router I use channel 11. I have a new SSID to connect easier.

You can also try these settings...

Go to the drivers & downloads , enter your service tag, and then select your operating system. Under network, download and install the latest drivers.

    Try these tweaks...

Start, Control Panel, Manager of devices. Click Network and then right click on your wireless network adapter, on the left, click on properties, power management. Uncheck the allow the computer to turn off this device to save power.

Go to the options power and changed the wireless adapter setting, adjustment of maximum power for maximum performance.

  • Ink advantage 2545: changed the name of the wireless router and now ink advantage 2545 does not connect and I'm out of ideas

    I have a Toshiba laptop 64 bit running Windows 10 Home, 8 GB, 1 t hard drive.

Router is a Samsung phone using Android because it was the only router that I could find which would take the wireless signal.

I live very pastoral, no neighbours for miles, so I never saw the need for a password on my router.

Now, some people are installs in less than 400 feet from me, and I think they're piggybacking on my Wifi because my access speed has slowed considerably since they moved in.

So I decided to change the password of the router, unfortunately, I can not put in any password I want.  It gives me the opportunity to have a predefined password.  So I changed the name of the router I could do without problem.

My computer very quickly without any problem, however, my printer which worked great for a year with the old router name does not connect on the new name of the router.

    Here is what I tried:

I had hoped he would ask me for a new name / password, but it did not.

Then I plugged a cable between the printer and the laptop in the hopes that it would produce a different kind of results.  It has not changed anything.  There is no screen menu on what that be like this on the printer.

I pressed the wireless button that has the flashing blue light and nothing happened.

I pressed the button, don't know what it is, but it has a white light, and nothing happened.

I went on the HP site and followed the instructions but he just said do not connect the cable until told to do so.  So I disconnected everything, lights out and turned back on and still no connection and no invite to plug whatever it is.

Y at - it everywhere where I have being a novice could get instructions on how to get this working?

I appreciate any help you can give me.  Thank you.

  • Scope of the wireless connection for remote access to TimeCapsule

I use my TimeCapsule as long wireless rather than "create a wireless network, as my ISP does not allow for the time capsule to use as my router.

I post this question because I would like to access my TimeCapsule remotely and the hard drive connected to it.

Now I'm Back to Mac enabled on TimeCapsule and what I believe is the appropriate port forwarded port to allow a connection outbound to it, but cannot be accessed remotely to the TimeCapsule. Any ideas?

    Two problems here:

    (1) the "extend a wireless network" is a defining Apple owner who is only used if the Capsule is wireless extension of the network from another router from Apple. It is not compatible with the wireless to a 3rd party router.

This parameter must be "create a wireless network" using the same wireless network name and the password of the wireless network FIOS with time Capsule of the FIOS router by a permanent connection, cable connection through an Ethernet cable.

    (2) the time Capsule is configured to act as a router, when it should be configured to act as a "bridge"... Since you already have a FIOS router 'upstream' on the network. If the Capsule is configured as another router on the network, which creates an error Double NAT on the network, and it is unlikely that Back to My Mac would function at all in this type of installation. The setting for the time Capsule router Mode must therefore "Off (Bridge Mode).

Since the Capsule must be in Bridge Mode to work properly with the FIOS router, it's the FIOS router that must be set up for Port Forwarding. Then, in Bridge Mode time Capsule will cross the FIOS router to your network equipment settings.

    Hello

    1. What is the brand and model of the computer?

    2. who is the provider of Internet (ISP) Service?

    Follow these methods.

Method 1: How to fix wireless network connections in Windows XP Service Pack 2
    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/870702

Method 2: To create a wireless network, you can follow these steps.

    a. click Start, click run, type ncpa.cpland click OK.

    b. in the window network connections, right click on the wireless network connection icon and then click Properties.

    c. in the wireless network connection properties, click the wireless networks tab. If you do not see a wireless networks tab, your network card can not take over the automatic Wireless Configuration service.

    d. under preferred networks, click the Add button.

    e. in the network name (SSID) box, type the name of the access point, and select the parameters according to your network requirements. This setting will match the configuration of your router or access point. If you have a router or wireless access point, and then select Wireless Ad - hoc mode and use the same network name that matches other computers.

    f. click OK

    g. under available networks, click View wireless networks.

    h. in the wireless network connection dialog box, choose a network by clicking on its name and then click on connect.
