native development

It's the apps for blackberry program build cascading

any native application must apply to the built for blackberry program as long as it meets the guidelines of his.

(Native & waterfalls are the same) that casecades has a user interface pre-built

Android applications are not permitted as such because they were built for Android.

  • Difference between C/C++ Native Development & Cascades QT C++ development

    What is the difference betwwen development C/C++ native development & C++ QT Cascades.

    I assume you're referring to Kits SDKS listed on this page:

    https://developer.BlackBerry.com/DevZone/platforms/BB10

    C/C++ native Development Kit is everything you need to encode a native C/C++ application to run on the BlackBerry PlayBook and the next BlackBerry 10 devices. The API described should give you everything you need to develop all the components of your application, from the ground up. If you have an existing application, you can probably start here. This SDK is ideal for access to the low-level API.

    However, it does not come with a user interface toolkit. You have literally everything code yourself, or help existing libraries to the port for you. You probably don't want to do. Instead, you can watch the C + c++ / Qt Cascades Development kit. This SDK provides you with everything you need to develop an application for BlackBerry 10 devices to come. You can still access all the low-level APIs, if you need it, but because Qt adds so much and is so powerful, almost everything you need is probably already there.

    Basically, Qt will provide you with the API call and use in your application. These libraries are open source which have been reviewed for many years and will probably accomplish everything you need. Go further, Cascades is the toolkit of user interface of choice in the native development, as it offers UIS amazing, fluid and easy implementation in your application.

    Note that I never mentioned the PlayBook by discussing the C + c++ / Cascades of Qt kit. The PlayBook is not supported with native support for this mode of development, but it will come with 10 BlackBerry is released later this year.

    Basically, the native C/C++ SDK provides you with the nuts and bolts, you must develop an application from scratch. But why would you, when C + c++ / Qt Cascades Development kit includes many libraries for things you probably want to do.

    Unless you develop a game, a porting library, or the need to develop for the PlayBook today, using C + c++ / Qt Cascades development kit.

  • just to start native development - momentics ide or Visual Studio

    Outings to start to write some Aboriginal stunts based apps.  First off is always supported and strengthened Cascades / maintains. What development environment is best for Cascases / native development. I am very familiar with Android Studio, Eclipse and Visual Studio. Momentics still supported and that of using or moving to the Visual Studio plugin? Who has the best features in terms of aid to development for native applications and the productivity of developers?

    Thank you

    Brian

    Cascades is the library preferred for native development, then Yes, it is still maintained and will be for the foreseeable future. If you are familiar with eclipse you'll feel at home with Momentics, which is a custom eclipse build specfically for the development of Cascades/Native BB10. There is also a plugin for Visual Studio, but almost everyone posting here uses Momentics BB10 development.

    Personally, I much prefer Visual Studio, eclipse, I always felt suffers greatly from trying to be a Jack-of-all-trades and have been cooked over a long period of too many heads. Don't look under the hood of the eclipse unless you want to tear your hair into small pieces. That said, my first attempt to use the VS plugin didn't look good, and I quickly discovered there is not much here that can help you with it. I would recommend that you go the Momentics road despite its many flaws.

  • Native development of the game on BB Playbook

    Hello

    I just downloaded the SDK Tablet of BB and BB Playbook emulator (which works really well by the way). So my idea was to develop a game on BB Playbook. My first question would be:

    • I have seen that the native SDK works with OPENGL ES. Is there any recommended gamedev framework take care of BB Playbook on native game development?
    • When you create a new project on the SDK, there are several models, what should I use?
    • When I choose the OpenGL ES model, it is only available on C, not C++, why?
    • Is - this all start on development of game for Tablet BB guide?

    Thank you!

    Take a look at http://www.cocos2d-x.org/news/48

    While documentation needs some cocos2d entry, itself has a lot of examples and references there, the test suite is good and it is not difficult mentally jump any cocos2d objc examples x - equivalent.

  • Any good guide learn more on native development?

    I have a few Android apps I thought to the port, I tried with my Z10 but aren't as fluid and compatible 100% that I was expecting, so the best solution will make them native.

    Anyone know any guide or good examples? So I can start to develop from scratch to make native.

  • New native developer - Can t START IDE!

    I'm pretty frustrated right now. Downloaded Momentics and emulator (two stable versions). Java installed, got the emulator running (with controller), Z30 connected directly to computer, turned on the developer mode and just Momentics does not start.  I tried to run with running link (or not), developer mode on (and off), storage USB mass (or turn off) mode and the 'thing' is still the same:

    The main screen comes up, it displays a dialog box selector (I choose is to connect to the device or the emulator), but it will automatically try to connect to the device and then crashes.

    I looked in the newspaper of the IDE and found this:

    EXCEPTION_ACCESS_VIOLATION (0xc0000005) at pc = 0x000000001005cf14, pid = 6236, tid = 188 (Java runtime)

    This is the latest version of 32-bit Java for Windows 8.  (Running the latest Windows 8.1 Pro).  Also, I tried with the emulator HyperV off so I can run the emulator of BB, but I think I tried out of the IDE to run with him on, so I don't think that's it.

    I would like to develop native applications of BB 10, but it's not exactly a promising start. Any help would be appreciated.

    Thank you

    Bob

    Well, after a long period away from this mess, I gave her another go yesterday. Found the solution:

    (1) add - Dorg.eclipse.swt.browser.DefaultType is mozilla at QDE. INI (in the folder bbndk)

    (2) add org.eclipse.swt.browser.DefaultType = mozilla to the CONFIG. INI (in the folder Configuration/bbndk)

    After that I did (almost) just started working. Could build/run, link to device, link to the emulator, etc.. Cannot download 10.3.1 symbols (not available?), but I was able to download the 10.3 symbols.

    I am completely new to Java & Eclipse, but I have a history of 20 years with Delphi and C build programs of database client/server Windows, utility back-end server, etc, so I'm not a complete beginner. The fix above doesn't seem to be documented (had to get it from someone of another sort of related post). I lost time days trying to find this solution. Ridiculous!

  • Native development kit can be installed in offline mode?

    Hi, I have downloaded momentics yesterday and installed. After installation, it asked me to download the SDK. It is not possible for me because my PC is not connected to the internet. I want to know if there is a way to download the SDK on a flash and install it in offline mode. Thank you. I mommentics 64 bit on windows, if it is relevant.

    Offline installations are not supported.  However, if you install Momentics and SDK (s) on another computer, copy the Momentics directory as well as the native "C:\Users\your_username\AppData\Local\Research in Motion\BlackBerry SDK" directory might work.

    However, you will not be able to perform many tasks such as creating a debugging token, signature of an application or download files of debugging.

  • cannot configure Cocos2Dx for native development PlayBook

    I try to install cocos2dx for playbook in native QNX Momentix IDE, I followed the instructions on

    What is the problem that I did, or I forgot something to do, I googled but not found tutorials that may be useful...

    It is of great if someone from BB, or forum post a video YouTube video to complete the process is running a HelloWorld cocos2dx for playbook.

    :

    You get to use 'Copy projects into workspace' what import? I did this first, but the project does not include the source files, the actual source is not copied with the projects. You must keep the files in their original location (do not copy in your workspace) so they can be referenced from the project directory. After I did this change the project builds and runs correctly .

    This gives a try and let us know if it works for you then.

  • A good start for native development

    I am Developer Java of BB.

    And want to move to the NDK for BB 10 development.

    Can someone suggest me a good roadmap?

    A book? A tutorial guide to grasp the idea.

    And for the C/C++ language too.

    Thanks in advance

    Documentation is indeed a good source of information for beginners, tutorials are especially useful as it is much more useful to actually do you these steps and hit some problems then fix them.

    Once you go beyond the basic tutorials, I have reccommendlooking through the examples of applications that they are intended to give you an introduction about the specifics of the cascades and hopefully inspire you for your own app development.

    There is also the knowledge base articles that address common problems and we hope give some guidance.

    I hope this helps.

  • UI development using native language(C/C++)

    Hello

    I explore BB10 of the last 2 days and study how we do programming in C/C++ using bps. But I have found no documentation of how develop the user interface using native development of QNX? I only find dialog.h in the user interface. I find my framework in the documentation, but have not found how to use each frame? Is - is there any documentation that give samples of each framework BB10 native supproted.

    I am very interested in the native development, but I have not found any sample or any help on this. I find Aboriginal framework is supported using this link, but how we can use this in our application is not mentioned:

    URL:https://developer.blackberry.com/native/beta/documentation

    So please help me in this regard

    Thank you.

    The native user interface infrastructure is still developing. You can find the documentation Beta here: https://bdsc.webapps.blackberry.com/cascades/

  • KILL the keyboard shortcuts for web developer - Mac!

    The web developer keeps popping open when I hit F12. I can't find anywhere to change. I'm in Firefox 26 and this SHOULD be deleted or disabled in some way, because some of the native shortcuts Mac use F12. Please, someone tell me how to turn it off. At least Firebug allows me to customize: this new bar native developer not give me that option.

    Hello

    You can use an addon to customize your shortcuts:

  • Need help of payment services - native Core with Cocos2dx

    I create games with cocos2dx on blackberry 10 with in shopping, I sell the virtual money in "Cash" on my game.

    I use before local mode and then I try to use the sanbox.

    I successfully download my games on the world of blackberry with account sanbox blackberry, already downloaded my game on the world of bb and digital products is valid...

    But my problem is:

    When the purchase is successful (good and good, ID etc. is valid), I don't get money "Cash" (my money does not increase on my game store).

    I have references already opened two link on cocos2dx, but I can't get the solution:

    http://supportforums.BlackBerry.com/T5/native-development/A-post-mortem-supporting-in-app-purchases-...

    http://supportforums.BlackBerry.com/T5/native-development/is-it-possible-to-use-PaymentService-with-...

    There's an idea on the code of validation when the purchase is successful? THX

    This is my code:

    CCEGLView * eglView = CCEGLView::sharedOpenGLView();
    eglView-> setFrameSize (600, 1024);

    bps_initialize();
    paymentservice_request_events (0);
    paymentservice_set_connection_mode (true);
    purchase_arguments_t * args = NULL;
    paymentservice_purchase_arguments_create (&args);)

    paymentservice_purchase_arguments_set_digital_good_id (args, "xxxxxxxx");
    paymentservice_purchase_arguments_set_digital_good_sku (args, "xxxxxxxx");
    paymentservice_purchase_arguments_set_digital_good_name (args, "100 Cash");
    paymentservice_purchase_arguments_set_metadata (args, "Purchase of the sample");
    paymentservice_purchase_arguments_set_app_name (args, "Sample game");
    paymentservice_purchase_arguments_set_app_icon (args, "http://www.rim.com/products/appworld_3col.jpg");
    paymentservice_purchase_arguments_set_vendor_content_id (args, "xxxxxxxx");
    paymentservice_purchase_arguments_set_vendor_customer_id (args, "Customer-provider-ID");
    paymentservice_purchase_arguments_set_extra_parameter (args, "extrakey1", "extraval1");
    paymentservice_purchase_arguments_set_extra_parameter (args, "extrakey2", "extraval2");
    paymentservice_purchase_arguments_set_extra_parameter (args, "extrakey3", "extraval3");

    unsigned request_id = 0;
    If (paymentservice_purchase_request_with_arguments (args)
    ! = BPS_SUCCESS) {}
    fprintf (stderr, "error: purchase requisition has not.") \n") ;
    }

    Your code is infinitely loop to read the events? The response of purchase may not be the first back, if you read you the event once after the purchase is attempted then it would make sense that the event is so lost.

    You need to code is a loop to continuously listen BPS events.

  • Native SDK is suitable for text-based application?

    I write an application based on the text for Playbook. I read the libraries and learning native SDK for the last days. Now I can't find an easy way to 'draw' texts on the screen of the playbook.

    Please give me some pointers or suggestions.

    If native SDK do not, let me know related libraries or knowledge that I need to look for.

    If the native SDK is not appropriate, what development tool would you suggest me to use? HTML5 or something else? And why?

    I'm new to this forum and new to playbook.

    Thank you.

    Native development kit is not really appropriate, unless you are ready to use the libraries of the add-on as the port of Qt, which is perhaps still a work in progress. The NDK for target now is mainly to games or other applications for which should be essentially generate UI whole 'manually '.

    HTML5 can obviously manage text. So can air. I can't recommend one over the other, or any other environment for you, since "text-based application" is not really describe what you are trying to reach.
