NB100 - random resolution change

On my NB100, no good reason I can see, the resolution of the screen just seems to move at random to 800 x 600 1024 x 600.

I can't put my finger on when he does expressly, it's just a little embarrassing.

Anyone else had this?

I have this problem too, but not yet solution.

    Hey guys,.

    My screen resolution changes while I use my computer. The text is the most notable, change to a lower resolution. It seems to happen when I'm using the Windows Explorer, but it's pretty random. Sometimes, the icons in the system tray will disappear too. For example, I have a file open, with a list of files, the screen flickers, the solution of problems and some of the graphics and icons disappear or are corrupt. So if I move my mouse over the names of files, they go back to the right size and resolution. So I might end up with half of the text to the right size and the rest all messed up.

    I use Windows 7 Ultimate SP1 on a Toshiba Satellite T110. I recently updated the driver of the CPU, Chipset, and I see that I have enough RAM. I deleted the software, run virus scans, malware scans, registry scans, lower resolution and changed the display settings and Windows Update, but it still happens. As I said, it happens randomly enough, it'll be fine for a while, and the only constant I can see, it's that happens when I use Windows Explorer. Any ideas on what to do next?

    Usually after installing a chipset driver a restart is required, so it may of happened after I installed the driver but should not happen after a restart or the next time you turn on your computer.

  • Tecra M9: After Vista standy, screen resolution changes automatically

    Hello

    I use a Tecra M9 with Vista SP 1. The current display to the nVidia Quadro VNS 130 M graphics card driver is 7.15.11.126
    My native resolution is 1440 x 900, 32-bit color. (the resolution of the screen)
    Sometimes, when the computer comes out of standby, the resolution changes after the sequence to connect to 1280 x 800 and stays that way. I have to manually change back to 1440 x 900. This isn't always happens, but say all of 1 times 2 the computer wakes from sleep.

    What is a (faulty) driver problem?

    Kind regards

    Perhaps this problem could be related to the graphics driver.
    Have you tried to update?

  • After each start up, screen resolution changes

    Under Windows XP.  I replaced my hard drive and since this event, my screen resolution changed.  When I change it back, it's OK for the rest of this session, but then, after a reboot, it is back.  I need to change once again.   How do I 'Finalize' my change to the resolution I want?  Maybe I did something wrong with the installation on the new hard drive.  Any suggestions?

    Hello

    You can check the status of the display driver in Device Manager:

    a. click on Start

    b. in the run box, type in devmgmt.msc

    (c) in the Device Manager window

    d. expand graphic cards

    e. check if an error code is listed.

  • Screen resolution changes automatically

    Hello, I just installed Windows 7 Home Premium in my Toshiba Satellite M200 Notebook 2 weeks. And it seems that I have a problem with my VGA (Mobile Intel 965 Express Chipset Family).

    Sometimes, when I am trying to boot up my laptop and Windows displays the login screen, my screen resolution change to lower resolution. After login, the problem remains the same more Windows to disable Aero. But if I restart my laptop, the problem disappeared. It seems impossible to load the VGA driver during Windows startup.

    I already re - install the VGA driver (had 8.15.10.1912 version of Windows update), also install driver latest Intel yesterday (8.15.10.1930) but they have the same problem this morning. I never had this problem with Windows Vista.

    In addition, in my startup program, I only charge 5 applications: Kaspersky AV HD Audio Control Panel and Intel 3 program (shortcut icon from the bar and screen resolution utility)

    Any help will be appreciated.

  • resolution changed to PDF

    I use Adobe reader 9 on an XP machine.  Today, the resolution changed on my PDF.  I don't really know why and what setting could have been corrected.  Someone else that I used this machine during the last 48 hours, and I think they fixed something but I don't know what.  It's like the letters on the PDF files are more digitized, or not quite as fluid as they were two days ago.

    Does anyone have suggestions as to how I can get my PDF to review the way they used to?

    Thanks for the help in advance.

  • Changing the settings to display randomly - 1152 x 864 resolution changes randomly to 1024 x 768

    At seemingly random times, the display settings change of 1152 X 864 pixels, I put it to 1024 X 768, that moves a lot of icons.  I then have to go to customization - display back change and move icons where I want that they on the desktop.  It's very annoying.  I have a Gateway computer and have seen similar complaints from Dell and HP users.

    How can I get the display of 1152 X 864 to stay?

    What causes the display to change?

    Thank you

  • NVidia Tecra M7 resolution changes after waking up

    When my Tecra M7 is open after standby or hibernation, the resolution switch to 1024 x 768. SOMETIMES it changes automatically to 1440 x 900 after a few seconds, sometimes it doesn't. If all the seconds time or so I have to manually adjust the resolution again.
    OS: Windows Vista Business
    Video: nVidia Quadro NVS 110 M, pilot 7.15.10.9813
    BIOS: 3.20

    No I think it is a driver related problem, so it should be solved with the newer bios/displaydrivers.

    If it s really software related, then M$ should have a fix or something else, but then users will have to watch the M$ Database.

  • HP P6-2133W will lose at random resolution after rebooting.

    My resolution is 1920 x 1080 on a LG 21.5 LED screen "hooked up with DVI... Most of the time, the resolution remains the same, but if I restart my computer after the updates (or just a normal restart) it will say, 'generic non-pnp monitor' in Device Manager. I completely lose my resolution and everything is really big, even if she says that my AMD video driver is installed and functional. If I right click and change the resolution, he says: "generic non-pnp monitor."  If I restart the computer again my resolution will return at 1920 x 1080 and instead of him saying, 'generic non-pnp monitor' he will say: "LG".

    Quick notes: drivers are all up to date, I use the catalyst/Vision by AMD customer.

    If the resolution goes back to normal, then the problem is with the PC, read and follow this document.

    Your motherboard has a VGA connection, so you don't have to worry about this part.  It is not critical.

    I just stop my laptop and he proceeded to make updates. After the updates, it changed my screen resolution and I can't get it back. I have a 3 month-old HP G56, someone knows how to fix this? I tried to change the resolution of the screen in the control panel and it always looks weird. Thank you all

    If you are still having the same problem then, you can perform the clean boot on your computer and check if that helps.

    From your computer by using a minimal set of drivers and startup programs so that you can determine if a background program is interfering with your game or program. This type of boot is known as a "clean boot".

    To perform a clean boot on a computer, follow these steps.
    1. click on start, type msconfig in the search box and press ENTER.

    If you are prompted for an administrator password or a confirmation, type the password, or click on continue.

    2. in the general tab, click Selective startup.
    3. under Selective startup, clear the check box load startup items.
    4. click on the Services tab, select the hide all Microsoft Services check box, and then click Disable all.
    5. click on OK.
    6. When you are prompted, click on restart.
    7. after the computer starts, check if the problem is resolved.

    Please follow the system in the boot environment. If the problem does not occur, it indicates that the problem is related to an application or a service, we have disabled. You can use the MSCONFIG tool again to reactivate the disabled one by one element to find the culprit.

    If your issue is resolved, follow the how to determine what is causing the problem section in KB article to narrow down the exact source.
    http://support.microsoft.com/kb/331796 . In addition, see the section on how to restore your computer to a Normal startup mode.

    You can also check if the problem persists in safe mode and post back with the status so that we can help you better.

    To use the safe mode option, follow these steps:

    1. reboot your computer and start pressing F8 on your keyboard. On a computer that is configured to start to multiple operating systems, you can press the F8 key when the Boot Menu appears.
    2. use the arrows to choose appears in the Advanced Options in Windows Safe Mode menu and press ENTER.

  • screen resolution changed by itself and everything is HUGE!

    icons, task bar, arrow are inflated like 5 times its original size. How can I fix it?

    Restore point:

    http://www.howtogeek.com/HOWTO/Windows-Vista/using-Windows-Vista-system-restore/

    Do Safe Mode system restore, if it is impossible to do in Normal Mode.

    Try typing F8 at startup and in the list of Boot selections, select Mode safe using ARROW top to go there > and then press ENTER.

    Try a restore of the system once, to choose a Restore Point prior to your problem...

    Click Start > programs > Accessories > system tools > system restore > choose another time > next > etc.

    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    If the above does not fix it:
    Go to the Web site of the manufacturer of your laptop computer-graphics/computer card > drivers and downloads Section > key in your model number > look for the latest Vista drivers > download/install them.
    Then:
    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-AU/Windows-Vista/change-screen-resolution
    Change the screen resolution
    Screen resolution refers to the clarity of the text and images on your screen. At higher resolutions, items appear sharper. They appear also smaller, so more items adapted to the screen. At lower resolutions, fewer items adapted to the screen, but they are larger and easier to see. At very low resolutions, however, images may have serrated edges.
  • Screen resolution changes after that computer unlocks, starts or restarts
    I'm frustrated with my Dell laptop.  For the past few months after trying to use a higher resolution on my computer, 1920 x 1200 (was 1680 x 1050), he always comes back to 1680 x 1050, that I've had it for awhile.  Yields of resolution 1680 x 1050, when I start the computer completely stop, restart the computer or free sleeping positions, etc.  I am using Windows Vista Premium.  It becomes embarrassing when this happens (back) as a small bubble rises to the bottom say I can improve the resolution of change in 1920 x 1200...
