NB520 - battery drain (when he died)

Hello...

I have a NB520 and notice that the battery tends to drain over a period of about 36 hours when the computer is shut down and disabled.
I also noticed a small spot hot on the bottom of the computer when he was arrested and turned off. There is something on the inside that is draining the battery.

The battery life is fine when it is removed. The battery life is normal when it is used constantly full load. (about 6 hours).
Y at - it a setting I can change to remedy drain it the battery to stop down?

Thanks for this post by looking at.
Toby.

Hello

Try disabling these settings in the BIOS:

-Load and Sleep USB
-Wake On LAN
-Wake on keyboard

Also to do a BIOS update, the last seems to be 1.90 according to the Toshiba site.

    Hi doc357,

    Hello

I bought new computer hp pavilion 15 laptop about 6 months back and that you not him have not used since... I have fully charged to use for the first time, then I stopped him with full battery, then I tried to use it after 2, 3 months, that the battery has been completely drained and he did not start at all, I had to load completely, he then used. and then I stopped it with full battery and now again it is completely emptied after 4 months without being used... • Battery drains when out of State

I was very happy with my Razr M. I travel a bit and have noticed that the battery runs out in less than 6 hours and the phone is hotter than normal when I'm out of State.

I don't have this problem when I'm at my home port. The lowest level of the battery I saw after 12 hours is about 40%.

This could be the cause this excess heat and the low battery life? Thanks in advance.

You can get your real signal strength by going to settings > about phone > status > network type and resistance. This will give you the strength of your signal. The more the worst strength. Remember that it will be negative numbers, so-72 is greater than-85.

On my phone, /-105-100 is average for the 4 G and-72 /-86 is an average of 3 G. Your signal may or may not be the same as mine. Everything depends on your location and the proximity of the Verizon Tower and the amount of energy that the tower is designed to push. There are a ton of different variables that will change your signal strength. I hope this helps.

  • Loud fan and battery drain, when the second user or get connected.

Hi guys, anyone knows it why the fan runs constantly and just when a second user or guest is recorded in the Macbook Air and are there patches for this problem? When I am connected, there is that no problem, the fan is quiet and the battery holds its charge!

Consider the possibility of a conflict of third party software.  Maybe run EtreCheck to get an overview of your current state of the system.

  • W3-810 battery drains when it is off (full stop)

I got a W3-810 a week ago. So far, it's great except for a problem with the battery; it loses about 1-2% per hour when arrested - most, but not all the time. See below.

    1. As far as I know, all drivers are up-to-date.
    2. As recommended in the manual, I disabled the quick start so that when I use Shut Down in the bar to win 8 charms, he should make a full stop, not a hybrid.
-J' ran a the Powershell command, who confirmed that the last couple Shut Downs were indeed full.
    3. The relevant info from powercfg /battery info is as follows:
2015-09-11 20:51:32 suspended 64% (is a full charge up with system off; charge indicator light turned blue)
      2015-09-12 12:00:48 battery Active 81% (loss of 19%! )

For me, this variation does not seem reasonable; I never know what power of my tablet is going to be like when I turn it on.

I searched around the internet for help with this problem but haven't met something useful. Then, I'll have to this forum for an easy I hope & quick fix. Thanks in advance for any help you can provide.

In my view, the question in the battery mechanism, not as the battery discharges. Try to go through a few complete cycles of load (load completely, run on battery until it stops, then load entirely new) so he could re - calibrate and see if that fixes it.

    Hello

I just bought a Thinkpad e535 and I have a very annoying problem:

Whenever I have turn off the laptop (not not hibernating, not to sleep) and unplug the power cable from the power outlet the battery loses about 20% of charge every 24 hours.

What I have done to solve the problems:

-Disabled Wake On Lan in Windows AND BIOS

-Run the powercfg /devicequery wake_armed command to see if any device is programmed to turn on the laptop

BIOS version is a later (2.08)

    Software Power Manager is 6.32

  • my battery drains very quickly even when not in service, what should I do to fix that?

my battery drains very quickly even when not in service, what should I do to fix that?

    Hello rabeeha hafeez robi.

Thank you for using communities of Apple Support. It is my understanding that your iPhone battery has been draining more than expected. I use my iPhone all day, so I know how important the battery life can be. Surely, I understand your concern, as much as it seems as if the phone is not in use.

First, I recommend that you check your settings to see what is using your battery life. You can do this by going to settings > battery. In some cases substantive activity of the app may affect the battery life. This means that the battery is used by an application while it is in the background. The link below provides additional information and advice to help maximise your battery performance.

Does anyone know why my now stopped even when Macbook battery drains. • Laptop battery drains to 10%/hour when to stop.

    Hello

    I have a Lenovo IdeaPad Y400

    Intel i7-3630QM 2.4 GHz

    8 GB RAM

    1 TB HARD DRIVE

    nVidia Geforce GT 650 M

    64-bit Windows 8

This is the first laptop I have (I've always been using desktop computers) and I first noticed that leave my laptop in standby drain the battery to 10%/hour, so I decided to let him hibernate instead. Same thing happens, the battery drains to 10%/hour, so I try to stop... Same thing happens, battery drains to 10%/hour. So I removed the battery waited several hours, he plugged back in and noticed that he do NOT drain in any significant quantity. All this happens when the laptop is not reloaded also. Any help would be appreciated!

I found a solution to the problem. All I had to do was disable quick start settings in power options. Now, there is no noticeable drain when the laptop is turned off!

  • BlackBerry Smartphone screen my BB turns off and restarts and my battery drains

    Hello world!

I really need help. About 4 days ago my BB 8310 started acting very weird.  First of all, it began to consume the battery like crazy and then whenever I played BrickBreaker it erased.  When he returned he said Eception Exception: error in Java Lang.  I have v.0.912 of UberTwitter and had not had a problem until 4 days ago.  Yesterday, I downloaded DeskTop Manager v 5.0 (mine was v. 4.5), deleted BrickBreaker and re-installed, deleted UberTwitter and re-installed but I still have the same error and battery drain.  I have updated my OS to v. 5.4 approximately 9 months, and the device was working beautifully.  A month ago, I downloaded the Application World, but deleted because it has slowed down a bit from my device.

    Issues related to the:

    1. do I have some sort of corrupted file?

    2. If so, do I have to do?  I read here that maybe I should do a wipe, how can I do?

3 What kind of worm or virus?  I say this because I live in the Venezuela and the unit started acting weird at a political event I attended, could my BB were attacked?

I depend on my BB for EVERYTHING and feel at a loss, please help me.

    Thank you in advance,

    Jazzdancer

I've never been compared to God lol! I'm just an average user like you doing my best to help and learn from these forums so

    About the battery drain:

1 make sure that you do not have applications running in the background that are constantly send and receive data unnecessarily

    2. turn off your bluetooth when you are not using it for long periods of time

    3. If you are in a weak signal area (two bars or less) it tends to drain the battery in a meaningful way

4 'reset' the battery meter by draining the phone at 15% and then recharged completely. This must be done on a regular basis just to make sure that the token is correct

5 use the case to put the phone in standby mode (saves battery power) or manually put the phone in standby mode by pressing the mute. There is also an application called Autostandby that can do this automatically for you after x idle time

6 lower the brightness of the screen and reduce the time before he died.

In general, the data more service use and talk to you with the telephone reduces how long the battery will last. The battery performance degrades with time, but I don't know how long it is normally expected to last.

Be sure to charge the battery when possible and never let drain competely. These batteries do not require conditioning as other batteries and batteries load when possible.

If your problems persist, consider buying another battery.

Hope this helps and let us know how it works for you
