Pavilion HP 15: Hp battery drains when stop

Hello

I bought new computer hp pavilion 15 laptop about 6 months back and that you not him have not used since... I have fully charged to use for the first time, then I stopped him with full battery, then I tried to use it after 2, 3 months, that the battery has been completely drained and he did not start at all, I had to load completely, he then used. and then I stopped it with full battery and now again it is completely emptied after 4 months without being used... I would like to ask whether it is normal that the laptop battery drains do not used for a long time or is it faulty?

Please respond to my request.

L ' of full load and then do not use it for months, may have damaged the battery. 40% of the capacity is there you should have left and then removed the battery from the notebook to place it in a cool place for storage.

You may be able to calibrate the battery by the battery test in the HP Support Assistant.

What is the number of complete product of the product name of your laptop?

For the period during which you left unused, the prosecution should certainly have drained. It was absolutely normal.

  • Satellite M50 - charges the battery only when stopped

My Satellite M50 battery only when stopped. Does this mean that when I work I'm still running on batteries, which of course carry out completely after 1 to 2 hours. Then I shut down the computer and it started charging again (orange led), and after a few hours, I still have a 100% charged battery.

Of course, this means that the computer is not available. Until a few weeks ago it used to have the same problem if I disconnected the power plug then reconnected it: the battery needed to dump then to 0%, even if the power is connected, but now the problem is constant.

I've updated to the latest version of the BIOS, I could find and even completely reinstall windows from the recovery disks, but the problem is still there. The computer is a Toshiba Satellite M50 - 126 model PSM51E, the BIOS is Phoenix BIOS v2.10

Is it possible that the BIOS is damaged of some sort? I tried to reinstall V2.10 but he told me that I have the same version and it will not be installed.

    Hi lartech,.

You can recharge the battery if you get into the BIOS and made the battery charging icon light?
Are you using the original Toshiba AC/DC adapter and battery?

In the worst case, it s a malfunction of the motherboard, and you have done what you can do: BIOS update and to install Windows from the recovery disc. If this doesn't help s a bad hardware work.

I got a W3-810 a week ago. So far, it's great except for a problem with the battery; it loses about 1-2% per hour when arrested - most, but not all the time. See below.

    1. As far as I know, all drivers are up-to-date.
    2. As recommended in the manual, I disabled the quick start so that when I use Shut Down in the bar to win 8 charms, he should make a full stop, not a hybrid.
-J' ran a the Powershell command, who confirmed that the last couple Shut Downs were indeed full.

For me, this variation does not seem reasonable; I never know what power of my tablet is going to be like when I turn it on.

I searched around the internet for help with this problem but haven't met something useful. Then, I'll have to this forum for an easy I hope & quick fix. Thanks in advance for any help you can provide.

In my view, the question in the battery mechanism, not as the battery discharges. Try to go through a few complete cycles of load (load completely, run on battery until it stops, then load entirely new) so he could re - calibrate and see if that fixes it.

    Hi doc357,

This guilty for the battery drain is therefore the material of the battery is outside. This document to support improved performance of battery HP mentions in the factors that contribute to the loss of battery capacity laptop that a Li-ion (Lithium) battery decreases when left in a notebook not powered. It's just the nature of the battery.

  • Battery drains when out of State

I was very happy with my Razr M. I travel a bit and have noticed that the battery runs out in less than 6 hours and the phone is hotter than normal when I'm out of State.

I don't have this problem when I'm at my home port. The lowest level of the battery I saw after 12 hours is about 40%.

This could be the cause this excess heat and the low battery life? Thanks in advance.

You can get your real signal strength by going to settings > about phone > status > network type and resistance. This will give you the strength of your signal. The more the worst strength. Remember that it will be negative numbers, so-72 is greater than-85.

On my phone, /-105-100 is average for the 4 G and-72 /-86 is an average of 3 G. Your signal may or may not be the same as mine. Everything depends on your location and the proximity of the Verizon Tower and the amount of energy that the tower is designed to push. There are a ton of different variables that will change your signal strength. I hope this helps.

  • Loud fan and battery drain, when the second user or get connected.

Hi guys, anyone knows it why the fan runs constantly and just when a second user or guest is recorded in the Macbook Air and are there patches for this problem? When I am connected, there is that no problem, the fan is quiet and the battery holds its charge!

Consider the possibility of a conflict of third party software.  Maybe run EtreCheck to get an overview of your current state of the system.

  • Re: Laptop battery drains after stopping down

    Hello

I followed the instructions to uninstall "Microsoft compatible ACPI controller embarked", turn the computer off, pulled the battery etc... However, when I turned it on the "embedded controller compatible ACPI Microsoft" was more listed in the drivers... is that a problem?

    Thank you

    Hello @Eng_Gladiator,

Welcome to the HP Forums, I hope you enjoy your experience! To help you get the most out of the Forums of HP, I would like to draw your attention to the Guide of the Forums HP first time here? Learn how to publish and more.

I understand that "controller on-board compatible ACPI Microsoft" is no longer listed in Device Manager after you have uninstalled it on your computer, and I'd be happy to help you in this case!

To invite your system to recognize the embedded controller, I advise you to follow the steps below:

    1. click on the Windows key on your keyboard

    2. Type "compmgmt.msc".

    3. Select compmgmt.msc

    4. Select the Device Manager in the left column

    5. right click on the name of your computer and select Scan for hardware changes

If you are still not able to find the controller in Device Manager after you perform the foregoing analysis, I suggest also return your system back to a previous restore point before you uninstalled the driver. This can be done by following this document on using Microsoft System Restore (Windows 8).

If the on-board controller not appear, I have recommended to perform a backup and restore of your operating system. This can be done by following this resource on the backup of files (Windows 8), and more to perform a recovery of the HP (Windows 8) system. This should help get your system back to factory settings.

  • iPhone 4S heating quickly, turn off the power and the battery drains quickly.

    Hello

My problem is exactly the same as the title. My iPhone 4S warms up quickly, turn it off and after I turn the iPhone, the battery drains quickly and the iPhone will turn off after 5 minutes. iPhone turns off again and again until I put the iPhone on the charger. It is bad because I like to play games like Pokémon GO. But after 10 minutes of play, the iPhone starts heating (and of course delay).

Things I've tried: (and didn't work)

The apps I use no fence. (I close applications once I stop playing)

Turn off location Services. (Enabled only when I'm with apps like GPS...)

    Reduce the brightness

I will be grateful for any kind of help.

Welcome to Apple Support communities, Krystof11cze.

It seems that you encounter problems with your iPhone 4S on iOS 9.2.1 with heating, battery draining and stopping. Good job on the steps you tried as I would have recommended those as well. I will do my best to help!

    1. backup of your iOS device - because I have erase you your iPhone completely, it is strongly recommended that you will lose your data if you do not.

    2. restore your device to factory settings - using the settings on your iPhone will only erase your personal data. You will need to let iTunes erase the iOS version installed a new clean copy can take place.

3 test the question - the first time through, set up your iPhone as a new iPhone when it asks. It's just temporary. You can connect to iTunes and App Store and iCloud and also download some of your applications. Test for problems you encounter. If your iPhone's battery life is improved, follow the next step.

    4. restore your iPhone, iPad or iPod touch from a backup

    Take care!

  • Laptop battery drains to 10%/hour when to stop.

    Hello

    I have a Lenovo IdeaPad Y400

    Intel i7-3630QM 2.4 GHz

    8 GB RAM

    1 TB HARD DRIVE

    nVidia Geforce GT 650 M

    64-bit Windows 8

This is the first laptop I have (I've always been using desktop computers) and I first noticed that leave my laptop in standby drain the battery to 10%/hour, so I decided to let him hibernate instead. Same thing happens, the battery drains to 10%/hour, so I try to stop... Same thing happens, battery drains to 10%/hour. So I removed the battery waited several hours, he plugged back in and noticed that he do NOT drain in any significant quantity. All this happens when the laptop is not reloaded also. Any help would be appreciated!

I found a solution to the problem. All I had to do was disable quick start settings in power options. Now, there is no noticeable drain when the laptop is turned off!
