  It is rare you rec had a drive to purchase.

  Toshiba uses a recovery Partition to reinstall Vista from.

  You press 0 (zero) on startup with a Toshiba to start the recovery process back to the factory settings (how you bought).

  Some manufacturers have more available Vista recovery disks.

  If this happens, you may need to try this instead:

  You can also borrow and use a Microsoft Vista DVD, which contains the files for the different editions of Vista (Home Basic, Home Premium, Business and Ultimate) must be installed. The product key on your computer / Laptop box determines what Edition is installed.

  I put t know what functions you mean exactly, but on the Toshiba download page there are fair BIOS updated and available for download startup disk. It can only be this old unit don t need specific drivers or tools and can work properly with Win95 or Win98.

  I just bought Satellite A300D-126, model PSAK4E - AMD mobile base, which cams with Vista Home Premium. For special reasons, I need to install Windows XP. I went to website driver Toshiba and download all the drivers for this particular model, but there is no Chipset driver for this model. How is that possible?
  This laptop chipset is AMD M690G, but I can't find drivers for it anywhere.

  The chipset driver is integrated in the ATI display driver and AMD who work together which means that they deliver their drivers in a single package.

  If you're in trouble about the chipset, reinstall the display driver after installing things together and it should all works without any problem...

  The VAP is model independent, the VAP for Satellite L500 should work also on Sat A200
  So download the PPV for Satellite L500 and check how it works on your A200

  Do you mean the FN keys or the card reader?
