Need hard connection on the floor... EX2700 or WN3000?

I need to provide a hard connection to my LAN and WAN for computers and NASs (top) to the main router (bottom). I got this job at a time with an Asus router configured as a 'customer '. The Asus bit the dust, and as an inexpensive alternative that I replaced it with an extension of TP-link configured as a 'hotspot'... he connects to the primary wifi and provides a hard link to the WAN... HOWEVER, it does not provide a connection to my local network because it establishes a different subnet (192.168.0.x) and configuration that is necessarily so. The main router delivers IPS on the 192.168.2.x) subnet. Therefore, there is a difference between the function of the Asus against TPlink I do not understand, and which fails to my needs.

It has been suggested that I look at the powerline Extenders, but I don't think they will work because the circuits are different. I'm looking for extensions of wifi Netgear N300, specifically the EX2700 and the WN3000RP, but I don't understand the difference between them - IE, can either work as the Asus or both will work as the configuration? Please advise...

TIA

Just thought that I would close this topic with having solved this problem. Amazon.ca has offered the EX2700 on sale for less than $25 (CAD!), so I thought that I had little to lose by purchasing / trying instead of the configuration. All that was needed was the Quick Setup and configuration allowed for the equipment on the floor, getting the 192.168.2.x subnet I needed. Everything works very well and the intensity of the signal through the floor was 95%. I am fine!!

Cheers for the holidays!

  • What are the drivers, I need to connect to the internet for a GT5432 of operating Windows XP and not Vista?

I asked before, but try to reformulate my question. In my opinion, it miss a driver I need or have bad installed. (of the re - install after a storm)

Charter, my I, said that there is a problem with my drivers or the Ethernet connection. I installed a new Ethernet connection-SMC1244TX. Still no connection.  I called SMC customer support number - they me Charter connected - which gave me the number to the catwalk, who want to $99-149 to ask a question because it is not under warranty, because someone changed the Vista to Windows XP, I thought I found the download for the correct drivers, but when I put my flash drive on GT5432 - I was not able to get the files-now I can't locate the download again.

So what are the real drivers that I need on the GT 5432 operating Windows XP so you can connect to the internet?

I just skimmed the old thread. It's too long. I think you should have stayed there.
This has probably already been given to you in the old net but that's...
Go to http://www.smc.com/index.cfm?event=downloads.doSearchCriteria&localeCode=EN_USA&productCategory=9&modelNumber=1537&partNumber=0&downloadType=1&knowsPartNumber=false and download the driver. You will need your card, part number. He also says it's a SMC1244TX-1. Don't know if it's the same thing as what you have.

I can offer help any more than that. If you need additional help, go to the old thread.

  • What drivers do I need to connect to the internet after a reinstallation of Windows XP Professional?

    Hey,.

I need the drivers that allow me to connect to the internet in Windows XP Professional.

I have not much information for you as I do the installation on one of the computers to work. If I get a general idea of what I need drivers that would be quite useful because I can pass my quarter fumble through them! Links to drivers would be super awesome!

The drivers you need are determined by the hardware you have.  You need to know the brand and model in order to go to the manufacturer and download the drivers for this specific device.

Since then, you didn't give any material information...

  • Need help, connect to the wifi and Panel set to work.

Let me start by saying that I recently downloaded malware bytes and microsoft security essentials. Malware found 4 corrupted files. I deleted the and also received a warning that the files needed to restore. I restarted the computer and then I realized that the computer wouldn't connect to the Internet wirelessly. There is no any wifi connection possible. I tried to access the firewall via the Control Panel, but I received a message saying that something is misspelled, and I needed to check my spelling and try again. I can't access anything in the control panel. I then returned to malicious software and restored the files and I don't know if it restored. Again, I have no wireless connections and cannot use Control Panel. I did a restore there when I knew that nothing was wrong with her, but he says that there is no change for a week about a week ago. I have a new laptop at home which has windows xp sp 2 is installed.  I am trying to connect to my wireless network.

The network password needs to be 40bits or 104bits depending on your network configuration.  This can be entered as 5 or 13 ascii or 26 hexadecimal characters.

You try to login with the wrong encryption method and you have this implemented extremely secure wireless network.

Have a computer connected to the router with an ethernet cable. Examples given are for a Linksys router. See the manual of your router or the router mftr's Web site. for the parameters by default if you don't have a Linksys. Open a browser such as Internet Explorer or Firefox and in the address bar type:

http://192.168.1.1 [Enter] (it is default IP address of the router, which varies from router to router then check your manual)

This will bring you to the login screen of the router. The default username is blank and the Linksys default password is "admin" without the quotes. Enter this information. You are now in the configuration of the router utility. Your configuration utility may be slightly different from mine. The first thing to do is to change the default password because * all * known default passwords for different routers.

Click the Administration link at the top of the page. Enter your new password. MAKE A NOTE SOMEWHERE THAT YOU WILL NOT LOSE. Re-enter the password to confirm it, and then click Save settings at the bottom of the page. The router will reboot and show you the box of connection again. Do not fill in the user name and put it in your new password to enter the configuration utility.

Now, click on the link wireless at the top of the page. Change the network name (SSID) wireless by default to something, you'll recognize. I suggest that my clients not use their surname as the SSID. For example, you might want to name your network wireless network "CastleAnthrax" or similar. ;-)

Click on save settings and when you get the prompt that your changes were successful, click the wireless security link which is just beside the Basic Wireless Settings link (where you changed your SSID). Most computers purchased during the last 4 years have the wireless hardware that will support WPA2-Personal (also known as WPA2-PSK). This is the desired encryption level. If your wireless hardware is older, use WPA. Don't use WEP, because who is easily broken within minutes. So go ahead and set the Security Mode WPA2-Personal. Do this and enter a password. For example, you could use the password ' here be dragons, beware you scurvy dogs! The password is what you enter on all computers that are allowed to connect to the wireless network. MAKE A NOTE SOMEWHERE THAT YOU WILL NOT LOSE.

At this point, your router is set up and if the computer that you use to configure the router will normally connect wireless, disconnect the ethernet cable and wireless of the computer should see your new network. Enter the password that you have created (exactly as you wrote it with all capital letters and punctuation) to join the network and start surfing. MS - MVP - Elephant Boy computers - don't panic!

  • OfficeJet Pro 8600 N911a: You need to connect to the network each power on

All of a sudden, I need to connect to my wireless printer, whenever I turn on. I had the printer for several years without having to do that. I have a new router but I got it for a few months. I read something in the documentation on setting up a static IP address, but cannot find a way to do it from the homepage of the printer (EWS).

OK, I figured out how to set the dynamic IP printer and remembers that I had put the range extender to be priority in the router, when I took that things started working again.

  • Satellite M40-230: what cables are needed to connect to the TV

    Hello

I went to PC World, where I bought my M40 and asked them for cables to connect to my TV using the s-video connection on the back of my laptop.

They said that this was not possible because S-video does not sound.

Does this mean that I have to get a separate cable for audio to use via the speaker/headphone jack?

Please let know us that it is a little confusing.

    Thank you, George.

    Hello

As far as I know it of possible to connect the laptop to the TV with an s-video cable.
The dealer is right, but there are different s-video cables.

You can use one with s-video on one end Jack and taken 3 RCA (2 audio and 1 video) on the other end of the cable. Or you use a SCART instead of the 3 Sockets.

  • Need help connecting to the internet wifi router

I plugged the router using these steps.

    1. unplugged power modem, then plugged the Ethernet cable to the internet port of the router to the modem port.

    2. connecting modem to the power outlet. lights come back waited it.

    3. wired router power adapter taken and waited for the LEDs lights.

4 router connected to the computer with another Ethernet cable.

5 open the browser.  No internet connection.

Window came from the Control Panel, network and sharing.  I chose Home Network.  (I only have one computer, but want to connect a wifi connection tablet.)

    Residential group became

    Ellen-PC - network Internet - X 3

The X said no internet connection.  I worked in the information network until I myself pointed out and called my cable company.  Still no internet.

I have restarted the computer, removed the router, modem power drove, received a refresh signal and then reconnected the wifi router.  No Internet.  I called the cable company and told them that the problem with the network.  The technology said that I ran out of network cards.  I thought she meant that I have lack of software.

I'd just do a Dell restore to the factory settings and thought, the NIC is a program that has not been restored, because I left the modem connected when I did the restore, I repeated the restore factory and re plugged the router.  Still no internet.  I called the cable company, they said that the network adapter is hardware.  I went to the Dell website to buy it.  The sales expert checked my service tag and found that my computer was ready wifi.   Agent said system has card, wireless, HMC, DW1703, BGN, WORLD WIDE.

Can someone tell me what is the problem?  I think it must be in the Control Panel, "network and sharing."  I type the name given by Netgear, it has been recognized by my tablet, but no internet connection.  Help would be greatly appreciated.

I have connected to the internet by adding a device in devices and printers.  There is now an icon for my wireless router.  The internet has become immediately available.

  • Problems of blackBerry Smartphones with all the apps that need to connect to the internet, except BB browser

OK so I had downloaded Opera mini 4.2 and iheartradio and slacker radio and they all worked perfect for 3 days and then all of a sudden, they don't work. I timed out connections and even google maps app on my phone usually connect. The only app that connects to the internet is the BB browser (the one that looks like a globe of aureole around it). There is no other applications running causing an obstruction of. 6.8 GB is open in memory, so im puzzled? Someone help me please Im racking my brain trying to figure what it would cause. The last time it worked was listening from morning to the Slacker, then went to lunch trying to get onto the opera would not connect, then I'm on the BB browser, so it does not connect with any other app HMMMMPH.

Understood the problem, I had a few memory leaks. Here's what I did:

It is a database file that stores information for the applications downloaded/installed. Even if deleted still stores information about them. Use of the DM to clear it.

Go to backup/restore > advanced > bases > content store (on your Blackberry Desktop Manager)

Choose clear database. (Content store only)

TADAAAA! It cleared up 3MB of space on my phone and everything works OK!

  • I am new to FDQM I need to connect from the table Source 'Oracle '...

This is the first time for me to do this, you have any Document to the connection on the Source table in Oracle, to any table target using FDQM
    is it valid?
If valid how can I make the integration with FDQM...?
    I called ODI,
Can be defined from any source to any target,
In FDQM I can set to take data from the Source of the table is Oracle to load in the EPM or any target system.

Published by: Joe on December 10, 2011 19:52

Please refer to paragraph "Example of Script integration" on page 200 of the FDQM 11.1.2 administration guide.
This example connects to a SQL Server table (you may have to tweak it a little so you can connect to Oracle table), but the example can give you a good impression of what is necessary to establish a direct link.

  • Drive external hard (connected to the Mac mini USB) disconnect during use

I have a 3 TB (WD green) hard drive in an external hard drive enclosure "miniStack MAX Media", connected to my Late 2012 Mac mini via USB.

I don't know when he started to do this, but I recently noticed that it was dismantling even when she was in use; the error was:

    Disc eject does not correctly
EJECT 3 ' TB' before you unplug or turn off.

I replaced the USB cable and saw the same mistakes.

I moved the HARD drive to a different box. same mistakes.

I swapped the HARD drive to a whole new WD 4TB blue; same mistakes.

So now I have a new drive in a new case with a new cable, and I see the same messages "Disk not ejected correctly".

(By the way the disk utility has shown that the two discs were fine when I ran first aid.)

This brings me to assume that the problem is with my Mac mini, which runs at El Capitan and is fully aware of the updates of the operating system.

Recommendations on next steps to investigate and resolve this problem?

It seems that your external draws too much power. That shows the report of your system? You have an external power supply for external drive? Have you tried to use all the USB ports on your Mac?

  • VAPP networks need to connect to the network Org?

I installed my test environment and have created a network of VAPP is not connected to a net Org.   In theory, it is an isolated network VAPP, but showing trade in my vDS, I see that a portgroup VAPP is not created for this network VAPP.   Without the support of a portgroup VAPP VMs would be unable to communicate with eachother if they land on different hosts, right?

So if it is possible to configure vApps 'isolated' in this way, it would be impractical to that virtual machines would not be able to communicate?

    Thank you

    -Matt

Also, you need power vApp on for the Portgroup to create.
