  Hi there I seriously need help you guys with my model # P6310Y.

  I constantly hear 1 short beep and 1 beep long when I try to start my PC. According to hp, it's a memory problem, but I proved it wrong.

  I went to remove the RAM check if one of the modules is bad.they are all good 2 GB x 3.

  I also removed the disk hard windows 7 and I still get the beeps that I described above. I made sure that all the cables are correctly seated and I cleaned the MOBO set for dust, including the CPU.

  I get a white one on my screen nothing shown.

  When I plug the keyboard I get no power, lights (NumLock, CapsLock) etc.

  The mouse is powered.

  I replaced the power supply always get the beeps and I can remove it all cables, hd, mouse, KB and the beeps continue.

  Please help me guys that I have reached a dead end and I thank you for your time,

• HP Pavilion 15 laptop: Need help, PC laptop HP Pavilion 15 could not boot from USB external hard drive.

  My desktop HP Pavilion P7-1074 4.5 years computer dropped last week. Planed to get a replacement on Black Friday or the day after Christmas. But I have to run some programs inside hard drve to the desktop computer. So I have attatched hard disk dive from my desktop to my laptop HP Pavilion 15 USB port with an enclosure.

  The laptop would recognize the external hard drive as a SYSTEM (F 62.2 MB of free space of 97.9 MB, OS (GTB-free 1.11 of 1.35 TB and HP_RECOVERY (H 1.33 GB free of 11.0 GB.))) But I couldn't find the program I want to run.

  I went into the BIOS to set the boot order to boot from USB first, but I could not get the result I expected. The laptop still start on its own hard drive. I tried all three USB ports, no one works.

  First of all, programs of a different version or windows session will not work on another computer as it was installed on the computer of origin at this time. It is an installation and application software, to the difference of the data or information that is accessible by any computer when the hard drive is connected. It is because no software installation binds the application of this specific operating system installed on this specific to the time machine.

  Everything started to happen just about 15 minutes ago, I tried to update the drivers but they are apparently aware, restoring them is apparently not selectable. The static method only happens when I try to play something that has his (music, videos, ect.)

  This is general information on how to do it:

  You can contact your computer manufacturer and ask them to send you a set of recovery disks.

  They should do this for a small fee.

  To reinstall using the recovery disk/s, you start from the 1st recovery disk they provide and follow the manufacturer's instructions to reinstall:

  And if you have never received a recovery disk when you bought your computer, there should be a recovery on the hard drive Partition reinstall back to how you bought your computer.

  The recovery process can be started by pressing a particular combination of the key or keys at startup. (Power on / start)

  Maybe it's F10, F11, Alt + F10, etc., depending on the manufacturer.

  Ask them to the proper key sequence.

  And if you do not score a manufacturer of recovery on your hard drive, you should be able to make your own recovery from her disks to reinstall the operating system.

  Try a Hard Reset as follows.

  Shut down the laptop, unplug the AC adapter and then remove the battery.  Press and hold the Power button for 30 seconds.  Reinsert the battery, connect the AC adapter and see if the laptop boots.

  If the above doesn't help, see if you can match the sequence of "Flashes" to those shown in the table below.

  I know it's kinda a shotgun approach, but it is interesting to try and only takes about 2 minutes.  We will restore your system files from basic to a functioning State.  This will affect any of your files, emails, documents, images or anything else.  Here's how:

  1. tap restore in the start menu and wait for the options to appear.  Click restore system files and settings from a restore point.
  2 - Click Next, and then choose a date before the problem began to occur.  Then click Next again.
  3 - after that it's done, see if you can connect.

  Try to use Recovery Manager to reinstall your original IDT HD Audio Driver - the procedure to use the Recovery Manager to reinstall the drivers and software is detailed in the document at the link below.

  Recovery Manager - Windows Vista

  After reinstalling, stop the laptop.  Disconnect the power adapter and remove the battery.  Press and hold the Power button for 30 seconds.  Reinsert the battery and plug in the AC adapter.

  Robinet tap away at the key esc that you start the computer to launch the Start Menu, and then select f10 to open the bios menu.  Press f5 to load the default values (sometimes it's f9, but the menu below indicates the correct key), use the arrow keys to select 'Yes' and press ENTER.  Press f10 to save the setting and still use the arrow keys to select 'Yes' and press on enter.

  Let windows take over completely for a few minutes and then check if your audio works.
