• Need help of masking/tween

  I have a logo I want to animate for a class presentation. The logo can be seen here: http://flic.kr/p/8SXY9f

  I would like that the SHEET Word to fade, then on the blue part to wind its way around (from the gap at the top, going in the clockwise direction and finish revealing two shorter lines in the Center). At first, I tried to hide the blue part in segments, but could not figure out how to link several symbols together to hide the image even. If someone could help me or show me a tutorial to help me do this, would be great! I'll try to clarify anything, if you need it as well. I can also send you the Illustrator file I used to create the logo.

  You can create the mask as a movieclip as each layer inside it hides a part she interpolations on the blue lines.

  Alternately, you could also just draw blue lines dynamically by interpolation width/height of a blue rectangle.  You can apply a rectangular mask above this to help you avoid having to join a precise control of the edges/corners and so on (which means that you can use a more fat blue line and let the mask to hide the overhang).

  I'd probably go with the latter approach since masking with movieclips can sometimes defy reason.  Just create the blueline drawing as a movieclip and place the rectangular mask on that.

  I recommend starting with a layer mask based on the green channel, edition that with the curves to get a decent contrast and then paint in the areas needed.

  I inherited a logo that appears to use a Logo of OM has a shape with a grad. This grad at first sight is not used in the Grad scheme and there is not editable.  Looking at the transparency palette I find an OM (pic1) output option. If I choose what the grad on separates it from the page of the form, that is from there I can change/remove as required (Note2).

  However, sometimes (he did no change), I'll be back to the same original form and output option is grayed out and is no longer available. Or I go to the similar shape that has the same treatment and I can't go out OM (pic3)

  The only difference is the thumbnail in the transparency palette, which is strong in pic1 and rated on pic3. What Miss me?    I'm not clear what the advantage is simply OM using the Grad palette to apply a grad in my form, but until I can get rid of OM who is there, I can't comfortably apply to the grad I want.

  The white gradient LHS I have no problem with. I choose fortunately only and each time get the possibility of release of OM.
  

  

  The other thing weird. When I select the white gradient. Sometimes, the exit option is in the palette without going through the drop-down list (Fig 4).

  Other times seems not that OM has already been applied, because the palette gives me the ability to mask rather than liberation (5 photos). Until I go to the drop down and then I find Release is an option after all.

  What is the difference here?   Not much of a problem, because either way I can release OM to be able to change the grad.

  The file is passed through several hands and play anywhere to try to resolve issues, and many stops and save slot, so something along the line was of course done a logo and not the other because of the difference, but I can't for the life of me see what that.

  I've (mis) understanding the issues, you can account for the box to the right in the main palette transparency (called thumbnail) here.

  Illustrator help | Transparency and blending modes

  represents the masking objects.

  Some of your screenshots show no object mask, so it only is not really a mask even if do the opacity mask has been clicked and there seems to be one in the layers palette, wherever you look.

  I think that it is perhaps the issue.

  Is this a good solution? I went to 192.168.0.1 and changed a bridged network connection. Then I connected back the WRT150N router on my computer and the modem and everything works fine now, even some of my fixation with my ISP disconnection problems! The only problem is, my internet is slow, it used to be 1500 Mbps download speed and now it's down around 800-900.

  I mainly use a bridged network share. Would it not slow? And this correction will be permanent?

  A man holds a flashlight illuminating a girl in the front (she is a bit away from him in an open field), now the shadow of another person walks between the torch and the girl. The shadow is being cast from left to the right end of the frame, falling on the girl, too, as it moves.

  How to achieve this effect in the aftermath.

  It is now much clearer. you need advice VFX before your shoot. You must have a shadow without the man, be there. I think you can go 2-way with this: shoot twice the place or go to the green screen approach. each with its own complexity and the advantages and disadvantages. I will describe the basic principles:

  Approach to location

  If you want to try to do on-site, you can:

  1. turn your scene with the man and shadow

  2. pull on the same stage without human and shadow

  3 mask man with the rotoscoping and tracking

  This might work if you have no movement in your scene. or if you have motion control of drilling that will exactly twice the same movement.

  The green screen approach

  your question - if you can touch a person out and make him a shadow on the floor - YES. It's the way I'm going to try to do - it's called a Shadow Catcher - a layer that only accepts your shadow. This might work with or without movement of the camera.

  Let's say you have this guy on green screen

  

  and you want to just its shadow on the background against

  

  Here are the steps:

  1 make the guy (layer locked) 3D and add a corresponding upstairs floor * in the actual shooting.

  Before I get to my question, I want to give you a glimpse of the project I'm working on and the aspects that I need help. For a school project, a customer, 94Fifty asked us to create an advertisement that depicts their basketball and could be used in advertising online and in magazines. The 94Fifty of basketball is the world's first "smart ball." It can count how many times you dribbling, the arc of your shot, release time it takes for you shoot, etc. To use the ball, you need an Apple product that can download the application 94Fifty on the App Store, so that this project is done as a collaboration with the company 94Fifty and Apple.

  For my ad, to really capture the idea of being the first smart ball, 94Fifty ball I wanted to mix an image of the texture of the ball of 94Fifty, with the shape and details of a brain, with the slogan being, "A ball that is as smart as you." I have my design buried on, but I'm not sure how to combine the image of the brain with ball should I use layers? How can I remove the pink color of the brain and replace it with the ball while keeping the shape of the brain and the lines creased the brain? Any help and technical that you can give would be greatly appreciated.

  Here are two pictures that I'm trying to mix.

  

  I would also try and keep the logo of 94Fifty which is on the ball in the mixed picture.

  Please do not confuse this for to ask me someone to do it for me, it's the exact opposite of what I want, I just need help with what to do.

  Here is a fairly simple method:

  First of all, level of basketball for the type to be horizontal. (Also correct the values of white light - burn at the top left and bottom top right.)

  Mask on white background of the brain and turn the image to 0% of saturation.

  Put the brain on basketball on its own layer. Make the overlay blend mode.

  Using free transform, reshape the brain is greater (rounder), like the basketball, with a visible margin around the edge of the ball.

  -Now, you have a brain in a basketball, but the brain is a bit too subtle.

  Duplicate the layer of brain as many times as you need to get the good contrast (I've duped the layer of brain three times, for a total of four layers of brain).

  You will probably find that you need to use the levels adjustment layers or curves on each layer of the brain, for finer value adjustments. Make sure that each adjustment layer affects only the layer directly below.

I've been slowly making progress with gradient for kernels mesh, but I can't seem to recreate the look of the ball at all. I tried to recreate it in a rectangle by using the option in the menu object (1 row, 50 columns) gradient mesh and I'm trying with the fusion in object mode, but not lucky yet.   You have published three images stylistically very different. The first is photographic and call probably (but not necessarily) for graduates of mesh. The other two are graphical treatments (and frankly, they're both rather flat; lack of depth).

  Illustration style extends the range of cartoonish in sketchy photo-realism and all the rest. The problem is you didn't show your own attempt so that anyone can have an idea of what you're trying to achieve the stylistic point of view.

  I just need to put in place so that the final step does not appear the whole box. The problem now is trying to make the style of the good brush to reproduce the effect...

  You seem to think you have to build a kind of linear construction and then find a way to reshape the shape of each part of the leaf. Yes, you pouvez approach it this way, but Illustrator users has often tend to be what aunt Molly would call "too clever by half."
