  I have a question for you.

  I have a very similar to the attached picture circuit. also you can find here (http://zone.ni.com/devzone/cda/tut/p/id/3615#toc4 , fig.2) I write some data on analog channels out and then I collect the data in the time loop. I don't understand what exactly is happening when I write the data in the buffer. Let's say I have a table of 2D 2-lines and 62500 columns that I want to write in the output analog channel, then read in the analog channel. I do not understand the meaning of the sample clock. (I read on operations 2 devices simultaneously and blah blah blah). What should be the sample clock frequency in the August channel and the channel of the ain and the number of samples per channel in the ain daqmx channel when I want to collect data? (http://zone.ni.com/devzone/cda/tut/p/id/2835; reading the data in example labview). My problem is that I do not understand what is happening when I load the August channel with data buffer; for example I put the sampling clock rate: 1000; meaning he will write each s 1000 samples of 62500 samples until the end of the samples; all of these samples that I drove from my out channel voltage piezo-beam-scanning engines. which means that each s piezo motors will get 1000 samples of tensions? now, I want to measure. should number of samples in the playback channel I put?   This article explains the operation of the sample clock frequency and the DAQmx Read reading samples. Quoting the article: "On the hardware side, the Schedule VI DAQmx determines the flow rate of the device/sensor data at the hardware buffer on the data acquisition card.". Here is the 'Timing VI' the sample clock.  Then he also explained that "on the software side, the reading VI DAQmx determines the transfer of the data of the buffer material in the software". "." It is making reference to the samples to read the reading VI DAQmx.

• Need advice - questions of m8100n and stop Pavilion

  Hi all!

  I need some technical advice, because I do not know what way to go now with my m8100n Pavilion.  He began to act up in March of this year and died in total.  Once troubleshooting with support online from HP, it was determined that my motherboard (Nettle2) is bad and that it has replaced.  As it was out of warranty, we decided that a new Office was a more cost-effective solution, so the m8100n has set aside for me to tinker with later.

  Two weeks ago, I had the nerve to replace the motherboard myself.  I'm handy with all other aspects of the inside of a PC, but the motherboard was the "last frontier" for me.  I found a MCP61PM-HM on eBay that was v2.20 (thinking that the original motherboard had been improved since the v1.08 which was in my m8100n), so I bought it.  Replace the motherboard, I discovered that I had bought a Nettle3, who would continue to work with my m8100n but would lose a PCI slot.  No biggie!  I replaced the Nettle3 and all connected together and voila!  The m8100n puts as it is supposed to and no closing fast and constant.  I am a camper happy, right?

  Here's my problem: I installed Windows Vista on the m8100n using the motherboard Nettle3 (Yes, I know about the need for the new motherboard tattoo the recovery discs to work, but I wanted to use this office as a backup/file server, so I was not terribly concerned about the recovery discs) and everything seems to work very well.  However, after leaving the unit top during the night or during the day while I am at work, I find that the unit has stopped.  The green light at the back of the Unit indicates that the power supply is always powered, so I don't think that is the question.  Just for fun, I installed PC Wizard 2009 and SpeedFan to measure the temperature inside the device, and it doesn't seem to be anything out of the ordinary.  I did the other night while I was watching TV and suddenly noticed that PC Wizard 2009 showed that Core 1 (which I suppose is one of the mainstays of my AMD Athlon 64 X 2 Dual Core 5600 processor) climbed about 25 ° C to 60 ° C and 70 ° C, then 80 c, and finally almost 90 c, while Core 2 showed a steady 15-25 ° C.  I shut down the system to avoid any damage, but now I think the unit is closing itself because the processor overheats.

  Is it possible that one of the mainstays in my Athlon is defective and it is originally the stops, or is there something else I could be dominant?  PC Wizard 2009 tensions seem to be well, and temperatures inside the case seem to happen as well.  I don't want to give up this PC, because it seems that it is something simple that I could be dominant and am thinking that I might be too close to the issue to see what is really bad, and I'm hoping to pull out of the collective wisdom in these forums.

  NEW UPDATE:

  After sitting the PC side for some time over the holidays, I started to do research on the processor AMD Athlon X 2 5600 +, given that all the indications suggest a heat problem with Core 1, who was leading in the PC by stopping.  After researching this CPU Model (Brisbane), it seems that Brisbane processors have a known issue with faulty temperature sensors core, which was probably, leading to a temperature reading fake being reported and causing PC stops.  This would also explain why the radiator or the CPU were always warm to the touch just after a shutdown due to overheating occurred.  I ordered a replacement AMD Athlon X 2 5600 + (not my workhorse PC, so I didn't need to upgrade the processor) and one both installed the CPU, memory, video card, DVD-R/W and finally the hard and everything seems to work normally again.  I ran a few stress tests on the PC from one day to the next, and the max reported temperature was 45 c 42 on Core 1 and Core 2.  It seems that the issue of the arrest was related to the CPU after all!

  Thus, after the better part of a year on and off with the PC, DIY replace the original motherboard to solve the problems of power cycle that I had originally, and replacing the CPU to solve overheating and issues which occurred after replacing the motherboard seems to have given new life to Pavilion m8100n.  What will make an excellent secondary / media server PC and will compliment my Pavilion m9500t nicely.  Thanks for all your help!

• Former user of E200 needs some questions answered

  I have been using the Sansa E200 (2 GB model) for the last year or two and it's been a great little mp3 player. However, after a lot of abuse, it is not in the best shape and I decided to make me a Sansa Clip (8GB) for a replacement because I don't need the video function anyway and, as I read, the sound quality seems to be awesome about it. Now, after you navigate a little on the forums here (my Sansa Clip is coming tomorrow, but anticipation is forcing me to surf the internet and read articles about it etc.). I'm confused. I readstuff by the limits of the RAM, 50 track GoList, not FolderView, etc.. So what I wondered now, is if I'll be able to use the Sansa Clip in the same way I used the E200? Because most of the time, I just tend to choose the music and play all tracks, I put on the unit (with shuffle on). Is it still possible? Or have fun with the titles of a specific artist only. Will that possible when I get my video tomorrow or I will have to get used to a different way of playing my music ?

  You will find that the interface to cut is very similar to the e200.  You acclaimate to wee easily OLED display, and scrolling is very fast and simple, despite the resolution of three lines.

  The more difficult part of getting used to, is the life of the battery and the sound quality of a wee device that is the size of a matchbox old school!

  Should you have problems, the gang's all here, and many of us are fans of e200 hard to die too.

  I'm looking at possible solutions for data acquisition. I use 4 or 5 entries analog and two digital inputs. During the analogue entered most of them will not need sampling extremely quick rate except for one who needs the least 100ks/s. I noticed solutions cost-effective have overalls sampling rate (eg. 250 ksps / s) which extends on all channels. For these products, such that the NOR-9205 compactRIO module, is possible to distribute unevenly sampling rate between channels (ie. could I give up 100ks/s for a single channel and spread the 150ks/s rest between the remaining channels in use)?   To answer your question on the sharing of the sampling rate, it is not possible to have a single module different sampling frequencies, as described in this KB: here (http://forums.ni.com/t5/Multifunction-DAQ/Aggregate-sampling-rate-and-Multichannel-Scanning-Rate/td-....)

  In the case of the 9205 this module multiplexes between all channels (32 cases set up in single ended mode or 16 in differential) this means that the sampling rate of 250 kech. / s matches total on all channels.

  If you are using the differential mode then the samples per second on each channel will be 250 kech. / s divided by 16, IE 15KS/sec. However if you only specify 4 channels max sampling frequency will be 250 kech. / s divided by 4, IE 62.5 kech. / s.

  One way around this is to use 2 x 9205 in one of our new CompactDAQ chassis, which has 3 engines of timing to HAVE. This allows to set different timings in 3 different modules. What is described in this KB: here (http://digital.ni.com/public.nsf/allkb/E7036C1870F6605686257528007F7A72)

• Number of data samples

  I'm using LabVIEW 7.1 under Windows 2000

  I don't know what would be the best way to do this, but I need sample data only 50 per frequency. Attached, this is what I get is currently using human calendar trying to go off the number of averages finished and restart the counter manully. The frequency is changed manually so out of a function generator. Im trying to automate as much as possible take the human error of the equation.
