Number of data samples

I'm using LabVIEW 7.1 under Windows 2000

I don't know what would be the best way to do this, but I need sample data only 50 per frequency. Attached, this is what I get is currently using human calendar trying to go off the number of averages finished and restart the counter manully. The frequency is changed manually so out of a function generator. Im trying to automate as much as possible take the human error of the equation.

FYI: This is a simplified case, that is why there is only 1 case in the case structure

Another option, that I am working on is this composer of arbitrary waveform, but it only works on Labview 6.1 if anyone knows how to make this functional on LabVIEW 7.1 would be great! Is Stanford Research and should be used with the DS345. The software is free from their Web site.

  • Why do write can not be performed because the number of data channels does not match number of channels in the task.

    Possible reasons:

    Scripture cannot be performed because the number of data channels does not match number of channels in the task.

    When writing, provide data for all channels in the task. You can also change the task so that it contains the same number of channels as the written data.

    Number of job channels: 8
    Number of data channels: 1

    Lama says:

    The DAQmx vi writing gives me the error. If I run a single channel, isn't a problem. Multichannel gives me error.

    You are funny! Why tie yourself to work VI (single channel) instead of one that gives you errors (multichannel)?

    (If your car does not work, you bring car your wives to the mechanic, right!)

    What is the exact text in the multichannel 'physical channels' when you do the AO control?

    Lama says:

    I did a sequence to ensure that each function has been run in the correct order. Wouldn't a race condition.

    All you have to do is wire the 'start of task' error at the entrance of error of the DAQ assistant and then back to 'stop task' and things will run in order. Guaranteed! Think the stream! Everything else can run in parallel or the order is irrelevant.

    First convert the sequence stacked to a sequence of plate, remove the flat sequence and add the mentioned son. Now, do a "cleaning pattern.

    A when stacked with the inhabitants of the sequence is one of the worst construction you can possibly do. It makes the code difficult to follow, impossible to maintain, difficult to debug.

  • Function to count the total number of data channels

    I know that I had stumbled on a tiara function that returns the number of data in all of my data channels.  I can't seem to find the thread where I had seen it.  I'm looking to replace a script a long time user with this simple function in my future coding.

    Thank you!

    Hi CrshTstr,

    I actually still use GlobUsedChn for that.  In more recent versions of DIAdem, you can use commads as GroupChnCount() or Data.Root.ChannelGroups (1). Channels.Count to return the number of channels in a particular group.  But regardless of which group the channels are in the GlobUsedChn variable always returns the total number of channels currently on the data portal.

  • query to find the number of dates

    Hi all

    I need assistance in creating a query. Ask the details I have given below.

    Table:

    Create the table emp_record (emp_id number, emp_join_date date);

    insert into emp_record values (1, 1 June 14 ');

    insert into emp_record values (2, 26 May 14 ');

    insert into emp_record values (3, 16 May 14 ');

    insert into emp_record values (4, 14 May 14 ');

    Suppose I ran the query with sysdate, we need to subtract the date of sysdate, then a report should be prepared in function number how many have subtracted values sysdate below 0 to 3 days, 3-6 date.

    Output should be like

    0 - 3 3-6 6-9 days more than 9 days

    1              0             1                    2

    Please help to write this query. Thank you

    Hello

    Do not essentially repeat the same CASE expression with the same types of calculations for each column.  You can do the job with a CASE expression, like this:

    WITH got_group_id AS

    (

    SELECT THE CHECK BOX

    WHEN emp_join_date< trunc="" (sysdate)="" -="" 8 ="" then ="">

    WHEN emp_join_date< trunc="" (sysdate)="" -="" 5 ="" then ="">

    WHEN emp_join_date< trunc="" (sysdate)="" -="" 2 ="" then ="">

    0 OTHERWISE

    Group_id END AS

    Of emp_record

    WHERE emp_join_date<= sysdate ="" --="" if="">

    )

    SELECT *.

    OF got_group_id

    PIVOT (COUNT (*)

    FOR group_id IN (0 '0-2 days'

    , 3 AS a "3-5 days.

    6 as a "6-8 days"

    , 9 as "9 or more days.

    )

    )

    ;

    It will be much easier to maintain when needs change.

    ED mentioned, using a string, 1 June 14 ' in a place where we expect a date is just a matter of trouble.  2-digit years are too.

  • NiDAQmx limits the maximum number of analog samples which can be read / buffer?

    I try all the time on a USB-6363 to 1000 Hz 2 channels analog samples.  Everything works until I have started to increase the number of samples to read only once in DAQmxReadAnalogF64().

    I have set up the buffer in DAQmxCfgSampClkTiming() like twice the amount of samples, I want to read at some point.

    Up to about 8000 samples (128 000 bytes: sizeof (double) x 8000 x 2ch) it works and read call returns without delay once all about 8 seconds.  Increasing the number of samples other than that, I can no longer read the data (the DAQmxReadAnalogF64() always holler times).

    Question: am I running in a limit on the maximum number of samples that can be read or buffered... maybe a DMA limit any?  What determines how big you can make the buffer in DAQmxCfgSampClkTiming()?

    Maybe it's not obvious, according to the documentation, but if you look at the output value of the parameter samples per channel function DAQmxReadAnalogF64 reading, you'll see that when it times out, he reads what was available when it has expired. So if you're always calling this function, and your timeout value is too short, then you'll always be timeout, but you will always catch all samples. You can view this as the function will return when the buffer is full, or the timeout is reached. That's why we have provided an exit indicating the number of samples read.

    As a general rule, ask not read like this with DAQmx. I would recommend registering a callback for EveryNSamples (there is an example that's bundled with the CVI on how to do this), or by specifying a longer period than what it will take to gather real that many samples (in your case, 8000 samples at 1 kHz would be > 8 seconds). The main problem with the polling stations with a short time-out is that you should ignore errors that is not recommended.

  • Bad first USB 6211 data samples

    I work with the USB-6211 and Signal explicit, and for one of my sensors that I will receive entry incorrect for each sampling period. My sample rates and capture rates is at 44 kHz. The first attachment shows the first few samples each period. At the beginning of each sample is the same as the image below, and this only happens on my device of the accelerometer. My other devices do not exhibit this behavior.

    You see, this is explained in your chart title:

    FILTERED entry

    It is an artifact of conventional filter (the step response of the filter you use coarsly)

    You can try to reduce it by mirroring the first ms (?) of data, but usually you just capture some data more and cut.

  • Analog LabVIEW myRIO data sampling rate

    I have been using the myRIO to acquire the audio input from a microphone.

    In LabView, I use the VI Express Analog Input to get the data.
    I wanted to know if there was a way to increase the sampling rate of the data of this VI, or any what VI to whom?

    Hi ykhali,

    Try to put the VI in a timed loop and set the loop to your sampling rate.

    Kind regards

  • Scripture cannot be performed because the number of data channels does not match number of channels in the task.

    My VI works as a motion detector.  Whenever the motion detector is activated, the led lights up and a beep is heard (a switch will exercise my motion sensor).  Once all the lights are on, the system reset is supposed to light up, and then the other three lights turn off back waiting to be activated once more.  My attachment saved as "sensor project", I have the VI working with data acquisition by implementing a case of random number, and the VI works here to give a demonstration of what I'm trying to work in favor. Any information would be greatly appreciated.

    You have some problems of logic and data flow.

    Once all three loops stop sensors, all outputs are necessarily true, then the case and a compound bow structure in the loop (reset) next is useless. Because the boolean in the fourth loop ending is immediately true, the loop to stop and not care about the State of the reset button. Maybe you should connect the termination condition to the wire going to the system reset light instead. Since it is also a polling loop, it needs a small wait. Once you press reset, the VI full and stops. (Do not use the continuous operation mode!).

    Solution: Create a state machine with a single outer loop. You have 4 x code too!

  • APEX 5 - update collection member number or date type fails

    Hi Experts,

    I use the pl/sql process onDemand (AJAX call). In this block, there is a procedure of apex_collection.update_member_attribute.

    If I call the procedure as below:

    In this example, I've used directly number 50 in NUMBER! to say the apex_collection to set the numeric field only.

    apex_collection.update_member_attribute
                                         (p_collection_name      => 'FUFI_MANAGER_BATCH_PARAMS',
                                          p_seq                  => APEX_APPLICATION.g_x01,

                                          p_attr_value           => 50
                                         );

    Here is 'Post' AJAX call settings (in my standard call): x 01-seq_id, x 02 - attr_number, x 03 - attr_value, x 04-value_type (n - number just for my info)

    He C001 ALWAYS updated instead of N001! attribute. In the documentation it is if I use the numeric value (I tried to_number too...) in p_attr_value, it updates attribute number.

    To_number example:

    updated in the character column.

    I'm doing something wrong?

    If I use a few collections with columns C001... C00N - update works. If I use the types of number and the date I can't update correct attribute members.

    The apex_collection.update_member_attribute method is overloaded to handle different attributes and types of attributes. Note that PL/SQL documentation says Overload:

    PL/SQL allows you to overload the nested subprograms, subprograms in package and type methods. You can use the same name for several different subprograms if their formal parameters differ by name, number, order, or data type family... If formal parameters differ only in name, you must use named notation to specify the corresponding actual parameters.

    In this case you use notation named, but the parameter name p_attr_value means the call corresponds to the signature 1 method, which updates a character attribute.

    5 signature with the name of the parameter p_number_value is used to set a number attribute:

    apex_collection.update_member_attribute(
        p_collection_name => 'FUFI_MANAGER_BATCH_PARAMS'
      , p_seq            => APEX_APPLICATION.g_x01
      , p_attr_number    => APEX_APPLICATION.g_x02)
      , p_number_value    => 50);

    Also note that (a little bit counter-intuitive) p_seq is always a VARCHAR2 string.
