Need Setup diskettes

I lost all of my installation disks, how can I get new ones?

Original Toshiba Recovery discs can be ordered online by https://backupmedia.toshiba.eu/landing.aspx

I put t know which model of laptop you have exactly, but don't be surprised if your laptop will not be listed here. You cannot order recoveries for the old models of laptops.

I just need the diskette. If anyone can help me please, I would be very grateful. Thanks :)

    Hello

You can't reinstall Vista on a recovery partition you have installed another operating system

    read this:

Solve a common problem of recovery.
If the original operating system is changed to a non - Vista OS, the Recovery Manager cannot be launched either office or by pressing f11 at startup. You can use the recovery disk to restore the computer to the original state of Vista. If you are using a non - Vista OS, you can use a third-party partition management program to recover hard disk space.

    ________________________________________________________

Contact the manufacturer of the laptop computer and ask them to send you to vista recovery disks to reinstall the operating system back as it was when you bought it

they do it for a nominal cost of $

you say, that they will not!

or borrow a vista microsoft dvd; not a HP, Acer recovery disk etc

Make sure that you borrow the correct 32-bit or 64-bit microsoft dvd to your computer

they contain all versions of vista

This is the product key that determines which version of vista is installed

  • New HP laptop - HP650 - upgrade lower to Windows 7

    Hello

    I recently bought a laptop HP650 I3 - 2328M.

It has Windows 8 Pro and I believe that I am entitled to a free downgrade to Windows 7.

Well I tried windows 8 - HATE it - and want to downgrade!

Problem is that I think that I need the diskette from windows 7? How can I downgrade free if I do not have the disk?

    Any advice much appreciated!

    Hello:

I agree with W8 Pro installed on your laptop, you may be able to downgrade rights to W7 Pro.

    http://www.Microsoft.com/OEM/en/licensing/sblicensing/pages/downgrade_rights.aspx#fBid=Eu6yCWdCvf6

You will need to contact HP support and request recovery W7 Pro laptop disks.

There may be a problem with activation, as you will not be given a W7 Pro product key.

You can discuss this issue with the HP technical support as well.

There is a method (I don't know) for the installation of W7 activate without a product key.

Call HP for the country that you live in the link below.

  • How to install XP on Satellite L40 - 14N

OK when I got this laptop for Christmas had installed vista
    I would install Xp
Read only a few threads on here, but can't have it installed. I have read that I need a floppy drive. So went out and bought a USB floppy drive to the drivers.
I thought I'd need on diskette.

Now what happens is I press f6 for the SATA drive and press S when asked.
It gives me a driver option so I say yes installs a bit more, then asked the driver again and I press on enter and nothing happens.

    Any help please?
Read somewhere I can have to integrate but don't know how.

    Doug's soon

    Hello

Floppy drive is not necessary only for the drivers but for Storage Manager. Please download and extract all the files there. Later, when the WXp is installed you can download all the drivers directly in Windows XP Home edition and start the installation.

Please download Installations instructions document and install all the stuff following this order of installations.
    Good luck!

  • Satellite L350 - Wlan Atheros AR9281 driver for Win XP

    Hello

I just bought a Satellite L350 PSLD0C 03N08C. It's a Canadian laptop and it came with Vista. I couldn't find any good laptops with Windows XP so I decided to buy this model and it downgrade (seeing that * Toshiba Europe * had xp drivers). Everything was good XP (no need to diskette) installation, I also installed all drivers except one: the driver lan / wireless - Atheros AR9281

I projected print Vista Device Manager before I decided to downgrade just in case I would have problems like this. Here is the screenshot:

    http://img521.imageshack.us/my.php?image=devicemanager1pz3.jpg

Here are the specifications of my laptop by the way: art http://www.toshiba.ca/web/product.grp?lg=en§ion=1&group=1&product=8193&p = 8282 #spectop

I called Toshiba Canada and I had used: "We do not downgrade from Vista" excuse. They have only Vista drivers on their website.

I tried to find the driver on google and it's the only link I could find:http://www.atheros.cz/download.php?atheros=AR9281&system=1

The problem is that the zip file that they allow you to download only a .sys file and 2 other files that I don't see how they could be used.

Please help me, I don't really want to put Vista on. I might as well go without a LAN/Internet on it.

I also noticed that the driver of Web cam didn't work at all. He told me that the driver could not load. So I downloaded the older version which is available and IT WORKED!
(I just wrote this in case someone is using the search function on the same issue. webcam * I installed all the drivers are of the Toshiba Europe y http://eu.computers.toshiba-europe.com/innovation/download_drivers_bios.jsp)

    * P.S. Common Modules driver isn't working either.*

    * EDIT: I have it RESOLVED WITH CE* http://aps2.toshiba-tro.de/wlan/?page=downloads ! Thank you so much for this thread Andrej: http://forums.computers.toshiba-europe.com/forums/thread.jspa?threadID=37410&tstart=0

Even if the pilot does not say what card it is, he acknowledged my XP on my laptop and internet works fine.

The diver of common Modules still does not work. I will edit if I fix it before someone answers. How it does not work is because when I try to install Toshiba controls it tells me that "TOSHIBA common Modules is not installed on your computer. I can go on, but it does not (obviously).
    * If the only problem remains for me to fix and finish my downgrade becomes the FN key or special keys of recherche.*

  • OfficeJet 7210 all-in-one

I have had this printer for about 5 years, running on an XP system.  I recently bought a new computer running Windows 7.  Windows 7 found the drivers to operate the printer and it is high and fine.  However, I lost the ability to scan with the printer. I have the old CD (version 4.7.1) but this is for XP.  I can't install software to run my scans on the part of the printer scanner?  If not, what are my other options?

Hey there scott77, welcome to the Forums!

I noticed that you bought a new computer now on Windows 7 and looking for the full functionality of driver and software so you can have the capabilities of scanning back as you did with your XP.

The good news is, you do not need the diskette, given that a download available that you can use to install the software.

I really hope this helps you! Feel free to write me back on your progress!

  • M5-583p-9688 conversion of UEFI (GPT) in BIOS (MBR)

I'm trying to convert my UEFI BIOS/MBR due to the fact that I need Setup 1.30 to start correctly for an external graphics card. Here is the page because it provided with the software: file:///C:/Users/Benton/Desktop/NANDO4'S%20SETUP%201.30/DIYeGPU-Setup-130-install-TI.htm

I looked on google and found this:

http://www.disk-partition.com/Windows-10/convert-MBR-GPT-Windows-10-0528.html (Look in AOMEI Partition Wizard Convert MBR/GPT in Windows 10 without loss of data)

This is, I have 6 partitions, which are labeled, and I don't want to lose something important to my computer in the long term. So how can I delete? And then, what do I do first? Replace all MBR partitions can switch to the BIOS on the MBR? Or Switch BIOS on the MBR, then convert files? Because I am afraid to have a locked computer files MBR with UEFI and vice versa.

Nothing different in an Acer Windows 10 ISO. Here is a link to the tool for creating Windows Media 10, scroll down to the bottom.

It will give you the ability to record an ISO.

  • Attention keyboard shortcuts Wizards - impossible to right-click with the on-screen keyboard

    original title: hotkeys Attention, please

    Hello

I have persistent, repeated with problems trying to right click on the desktop without the aid of a Mouse / touchpad.

He has a key to right click (context menu) on my keyboard between the AltGr and the right CTRL key.

This always works for everything except a right-click on the desktop, when it only works about half the time.

Often, if I try to right click on the desktop with this key (mouselessly), me seems to end up right click on an icon on the desktop instead.

I usually then try to 'tab' (mouslessly) by using the TAB key to the desktop, but it onlygi annoys me to the start menu, and then in the box quick launch, and then to the bar of tasks, and to the area of Notification, then back to an icon on the desktop again... jump the desk itself... then back to the start menu... round and round in circles never the bureau itself becomes the "Active window" - such that I could right-click by using this key.

Is it possible that I can TAB on the desktop, so that it becomes the "Active window"?

I find this only happpens problem after I have been using applications for a while. In general, I can use the key to right-click on the desktop, or use CTRL + N to open a Windows Explorer window bit time after startup, but 3 hours later, it's a different scenario.

I use Vista, SP2, Standard Windows Aero disabled (because the active windows or icons are stronger highlghted in blue in the standard).

(Why not use a mouse like everyone else? I do, but 3 months ago I lost my pointing device (touchpad mouse) in some type of a software problem. I had to reinstall Windows to get it back. It was like losing my right hand, I couldn't even click on the Windows Setup diskettes, so I swore that I would never so helpless once again, so I'm learning... keyboard shortcuts and a few BACK... I came to believe that if you can't use a computer, a way, it is essential that you should be able to use it otherwise using different methods).

    Thanks for any advice.

If the keyboard focus is on a desktop icon rather than the bureau itself, then you should be able to press Ctrl-space to toggle the current icon between the selected and deselected (which should deselect the first press), and then Rightclick (or Shift + F10) key should open menu contextual of own Office.

(This paragraph is in the interest of someone else coming in your question).  If you are not sure whether the desktop icons are chosen or not, simply move the highlight with the arrow keys box must select the highlighted icon and deselect all other icons.

Edit: How I force the Office to have the circumflex accent is to use Ctrl-Esc instead of the Windows Logo key to bring up the Start Menu (the difference is subtle but there), then Esc to close the Start Menu (but keep the circumflex on the Start Menu button), then SHIFT + Tab to go back into the tab on the office order.

  • Docking station for Dell Precision 7510

I have Dell communities very recently joined after I buy the laptop Dell Precision 7510. It's a great product so far, but I want something better. I want more ports. A cradle to go with it is the obvious solution.

What is the best laptop computer Dell Precision 7510-compatible docking station? My specific needs/setup:

-2 external screens (D - sub / HDMI, or for £50 in addition, connection I get display-port), screens may be more in the future

    -internet cable high speed

    headphone/microphone

-Sockets USB for mouse, keyboard, printer, scanner, external hard drives, etc.

I presume that the Advanced E-port replicator is the best/most appropriate. I just want to be sure of that, because my laptop model (7510 precision) is still very new and not all information everywhere put on compatibility. I don't want to make a costly mistake. I travel and will not be able to "return" the products I buy.

Yes. I contacted Dell sales... service and they told me that the Dell E-Port Plus II is compatible with my 7510 accuracy. After written confirmation, I advanced and bought a British supplier on Amazon for £100... but he came in a suspicious package and did not work well, and the adapter was the size of a brick (literally). I went back to Amazon... and tried my luck with Amazon Germany. You can get the original product on their part for about 140 euros, and it works perfectly. The link to the product:

    http://www.Amazon.co.UK/GP/product/B00A8ESOVA?PSC=1&redirect=true&ref_=od_aui_detailpages00

(it's actually UK, now that I check it... it's that I bought and it's good)

Basically, Dell has not updated its compatibility information yet. The docking station is listed in the check-out for precision 7510, but does not say specifically that it is compatible with this model. I had similar problems elsewhere too, as I want to install LoJack on my laptop, but can not find information about the question to know if my laptop model is supported by what is called the 'persistence technology' in the BIOS (which makes it impossible to uninstall LoJack even if you change hard drives).
