• RV180 need some advice/Suggestion regarding the rules of access and Services

  Hi, I expected to get some advice or suggestion with a RV180 question.  I have a cable modem connection that connects to my port WAN RV180 and we have a single static IP address on the WAN port and everything works great.  We have an internal Exchange Server, so we have a few inbound rules access allowing for ports 443 and 25.  It all works.

  This is the question that I encounter.  We have now another service internal now needs outside inside access on port 443 (https), but I already have this configuration on the router for Exchange and when I have both sense, of course, it won't work correctly because the router just takes the first rules of access and use the one that works very well for traffic Exchange , but not my other service.

  Is there another way to get this job where I can have two internal services on port 443 and the router can forward traffic appropriate to each of them since my first IP? (it doesn't really matter if I had two IP addresses because it always hits the same access list for internal services)

  All advice or suggestion would be great

  Hi, yours is a general networking, not specific to RV180 problem.

  As you have only one IP public (on the WAN port), you only have a single port 443, you can support two services outside-to-inside.

  The cheapest solution is one of the services to another port, if the service permits.

  The most expensive solution is to have public IP addresses.

  We are running two without: a former EMC NS20 and a new HDS. Both have CF, but only to systems meeting some, Lun most are iSCSI. We have two switches Cisco MDS 9148 for HA. We currently have a c7000 using iSCSI to one of our SAN systems, all the blades in this system are running ESX 4. I would add this c7000 CF, but I am interested in refurbed 4 Gb CF because we are more expansion of this system (we have an another c7000 using FlexFabric for newer blades).

  I've been searching online trying to figure out what that HBA and interconnection modules would be appropriate. I ran in the QLogic QMH2462 HBAs, Emulex LPe 1105 and I wonder who works more own with ESX 4 and would play well with our switches. I also met a few IC modules options: the "HP 4 GB Virtual Connect Fibre Channel Module" and the "Blade switch Cisco MDS 9124e.

  So I wonder if anyone has any advice what may work better in my configuration. And what experiences anyone could have a similar setup.

  IMO, you can use one of the HBA without problems. I've never had problems with QLogic or Emulex no matter if used in servers in rack or blades.

  The Virtual Connect module is only an option for a C7000 with Virtual connect Ethernet IC modules. I did not work with Virtual Connect from this so far (with the exception of the HP ASE training). I mainly use the Brocade or Cisco IC. In your case, I'd probably go with the Cicso (from the perspective of management), since you already have the switches DMS 9148 in place.   I need to give a customer a labview block, they can use our material in their own labview code that will read the (encrypted) data net senor off the coast and the flow of data in a form usable output.  I built a vi that can be used in a loop, a bit similar to the block of canned labview data acquisition that can be used to acquire data from products OR.

  There are many sophisticated (and secret) algorithms going on in the background which make sense data and translate them into a usable data table, but also configure the hardware itself. Accordingly the only final vi I prepared to distribute the client makes use of Subvi about 20. Almost none of these subvis could be ideally be reconverted in plain code in main vi, nor what I want to do this.

  The rules of the game is the following: I want to give him the block I created to use its own code, without him to see what's happening inside the vi.  I can deny him access to the block diagram/s, no problem, but I don't want to give him access to the subvis, to use, or even to know their names - preference they would be hidden or otherwise pre-compiled. Preferably I would just give him the main block only, perhaps with some support files that would be entirely opaque to him.

  Looking for advice on the best way to go. There is an elegant solution to this problem? For example, it would be better to compile the block as a .dll file, and then write a wrapper vi any?

  Have you thought of creating a packed library? You can also password protect your code. You can delete the distributed code block diagrams. You can use a combination of the above as well.

• HP Smart Printing need some advice... does not

  I have IE 8.0.  The icon of the sheet.  I can choose a print area, but the button change is dormant.  The print button is also sleeping/no admissible.  All I can do is to select and print area.

  Under tools / manage add-ons, HP Print is enabled.

  I'm stuck so where to go from here.  Print Preview does not seem to recognize HP smart printing... This is exactly the same old preview print that was there all along.

  HP Smart Printing works with IE 8.0?   I vaguely remember downloading an update from HP.  Should I "recharge" the software?

  As I mentioned previously, the Select function works fine, but the buttons edit and print everything simply remain their usual, even gray color once a print area has been selected.

  Well, I managed to do the work.  Of course, because the menu Tools, manage modules shows that HP web printing is enabled... is essential.  But what he got was download a version compatible with IE 8 web printing software. (Duh).

   

  Unfortunately, drag and printing does not work for google maps, but this is due to some software of fancy that Google uses to display cards... kind of the same problem that you encounter when you try to make a screenshot of video content.

   

  Not yet got around to print bank statement without all the graphics and so on... HP has had a good idea here, to be able to select and print on the web.   An idea born of necessity anyway.

  My first advice is to get rid of TrackwheelListener. It was not a Blackberry made with a wheel for years.

  It is replaced by navigationMovement().

• Need some tips for first cs6 video editing

  I recorded it professionally in his room with a microphone mc proof is really good quality video and sound quality is perfect also.

  Last reading the thing at first and after effects is very slow, no failure of my laptop is extremely fast, but one thing that I've had this laptop for about 8 months and does not update the graphics card, it would be one or there at - it a way to solve this problem? When I try to playback in sequels it says something like ' 0.9 / 29 frames (not in real time), I downloaded quicktime, I thought it was real time?

  This is referred to as a PiP (Picture in Picture). It is easy to do. Simply place your Clips, camera 2 and camera 1 on separate video tracks. 2 camera spot on a weaker, you place the camera 1, say Camera 2 on 1 track video and camera 1 on video track 2. At that time, camera Clip 1 will cover the Clip on Camera 2. Now, with the camera 1 Clip selected, go to the effects (not the effects Panel) Panel and find the movement, one of the fixed effects. Watch twirl that open, to reveal the scale and Position. We will use these next. I would first pay scale, to resize the Clip and then position, move it to where you want. Fact.

  I often use the grids of the alignment for the positioning of the PiP, but with but a PiP, not sure you need this. Yet, see this article for grid alignment: http://forums.adobe.com/thread/476984?tstart=0

  For your Audio files, instead of a highly compressed MP3, I would export it as WAV/PCM 48 kHz 16-bit, for import in PrPro. The Audio will be better, and in accordance with the standard will be faster.

  For the rest, I highly suggest to read about these programs. Adobe has a lot of good tutorials on Adobe TV too. Their use and power, fill books. There is also a very active and very good forum just for After Effects, with a lot of seasoned, professional who can help you if you get lost. As Jon States, read everything in the help files, these programs are a very good start.

• Flash newbie needs some advice on a project

  Hey guys,.

  Thought I'd ask you guys to a general approach on a project I'm starting.  I have a background in computer science, so I lose patience with some of the beginner step by step tutorials that are out there online / in books.  What I lack, it is for you guys to let me know what will be important for me to learn what I want to do and what are the aspects of the Flash I can go without.

  I'm a grad student in Psych clinical and I want to build an interactive processing application.  Which basically translates to is that he will have a series of screens with text, sound, and video clickable icons that will show small films, I developed that my views on the principles of different treatment.  Anyway, I just wanted to know if you guys could give me advice on the best way to do it.  I can animate text and it's kind of basic, but I feel like I kind of sense in the dark right now and do not want to waste too much time on dead ends.  If you guys can give me an idea about the basic components of Flash, I'm going to need a solid understanding of creating a project like this, I would really appreciate it.  I'm sorry if it is vague, just trying to reduce the amount of time I spend of experimentation and if you guys could tell me precisely these modules/tools in the application that I have to use to do this I can take it from there.

  If you are looking for shortcuts, you're not likely to find.  The essential elements you need to know to start with the basics and expand from there.

  One essential thing you should learn is how to find and solve things by yourself using the Flash help documentation and a good search engine like Google.  Almost all the objects/classes have 3 basic elements (properties, methods, events) you need to understand how use/manipulate, and they are all identified in the help documentation.

  If you want to work with videos, start digging to learn the different ways that you can integrate... using a FLVPlayback component or the NetStream class.  If you want to learn how to work with audio, then dig learn how to use the Sound class.

  Yes, there are a lot of changes, but you will find most of the things in the familiar places. Change that confuses many people when they first open CS4 is the Inspector is now an HTML view and a CSS view. However, once you go account links can only be created in HTML, most people display adjust pretty quickly.

  HTML and CSS are the same, so you can use the pages without any update. If you have created all the PHP pages, you need to rebuild a lot of server behaviors unless you use Dreamweaver 8.0.2. If you use the version 8.0.2, all right.

  (4) common bugs in CS4.  I wonder what I'm not technical to overcome a few bugs that seems easy to pro.

  No software is perfect, but in my experience, Dreamweaver CS4 is very stable. There is a bug that annoying some dialog boxes, such as the dialog box insert Div don't remember what you choose in a drop for the first time. You must choose the same value again so he could stick.

  I'm sure you will find plenty of doomsayers who disagree as to the quality of CS4. The only way to choose is to try the demo version and see for yourself.

  Is that suppose to be right? I'm a bit confused because the last laptop that I bought a few of the installation CD and the drivers that came with it. In addition, is there something else I should be aware of that should have been in the box?
  All I have is the power cord, power adapter, manual, portable with battery already in it.

  2. in the purchase, there are already standard warranty 1 year that comes with the laptop. I noticed on the Toshiba site, you can buy an extended warranty. Should I buy now? Or can I get, say 1 week before the end of year 1?

  I currently have a small network that looks like this... SMC cable modem (with static IP) > RVO16 > connected to some computers and printers > 4 port linksys switch > connect multiple PCs and POS.

  What A location.

  I have another place that looks like this... Cable modem (dynamic IP) > RVO82 > connected to computers, printers and the POS.

  What location B.

  The locations are connected by a tunnel that is used daily and intensively.

  Here are the changes that will happen at A location, I have purchased ip phones and we'll be adding several new computers, printers. all to be connected to the new SF200 48P I bought. It was mainly for ip phones and the POE ports, but looks like it should work well for the whole of the network.

  Should I be setting up small VLANs to say each office which will consist of one IP address and telephone, computer and printer..., there will be about 8-10 like this.

  I want to keep offices and connected places and maintain security at a good level. I need quality of Service for ip phones.

  Not really sure if I should use the RVO16.

  Also wondered if maybe the RV180W-A-K9-NA would be a good choice instead of the RVO16 because it also has VPN.

  I intend to update location B with a new switch, IP phones, computers and printers as well. (next year as cost is the factor of this year)

  Any thoughts would be appreciated.

  Hi Steve, the RV016 supports multiple subnets and VLANS based left only.

  The RV180 much better address this traffic because it supports the 802. 1 q VLAN.

  Hi - I've finally managed to implement a jQuery solution!

  The CSS solution was not suitable for me because the main client browser is IE and there are very few things you can do to change rather ugly (IMHO) scrollbars IE to change the color.

  I used NiceScroll: jQuery NiceScroll plugin - scroll for desktop, mobile and touch devices
  It's really easy to implement-, I never added a jQuery plugin for EA before and tried with a few others, but it's super simple!

  This also works in IE, Chrome, Safari AND EVEN FIREFOX!

  I write here incase everyone present and future needs Ref

  Instructions for v. 2014.1.1, and later - I don't know how to implement for earlier versions.

  1. Download the plugin jquery.nicescroll.min.js and import it into the actions panel in your EA file
  2. DocumentCompositionReady on the main stage in your document has this line:

  I am trying to create an object that will act as a mobile platform in a world 'floating '. Basically, the player (a ball) is rolling on a quilt of different blocks and the idea is not not to fall. I am wanting to create this platform (and the different variations of movement of it) to keep the drive in separate blocks, unrelated or surfaces.
  
  Even though I know that is not the way to do it, I pinned a little by creating a removable rigid body, keeping work and then change the position of the body directly. My problem is that if I try to use the 'correct methods' interpolatingMoveTo or CorrectorMoveTo, effects of gravity simulation and platforms move in a way that is not accurate. If I apply and anit-gravity force to the objects, and then once the player hits these platforms, they float off the coast in the typical "not serious" way.
  
  Do what I've been doing work as long I keep the amount of movement by very small image (resulting in very slow platforms), but when I speed things of course collision fails because I moved the object without applying force or impulse.
  
  Does anyone have general ideas on how to use a platform with havok like that?

  I have it! For later use, but I may be the only one who did not know that...

  Had to pin the rigid body, activate and use the correctorMoveTo, then when it reaches its destination re-pin it and disable the spell... Rinse, lather, repeat. Apparently using correctorMoveTo unpins a rigidBody platform was succumbing to gravity when it reached its first desired location (the platform moves backward or upward and down repeatedly). So I also had to add a registry of reverse gravity to keep the platform on a consistent course, if not gravity started dragging it down over a period of time.

  Hope that helps someone else in the future, I took a lot of my time today. :-) Gary Rosenzweig 'Special Edition Using Macromedia director MX' shaken... just that he had spoken the corrector havok wish. He explains everything so well (at least for a beginner reading), but there is almost no corrective info out there. Anyone know of any hidden somewhere?
