Need to atapi.sys and ataport.sys solve corruption in Windows Vista

How can I find these files?  Anyone can provide for me?  They are not on the CD/DVD I have.

1 repair indicates that 2 files are corrupt.

2. don't know if this applies.

I was able to find the files in the incentive off another PC with Vista.  Reinstall the device driver is not possible if the PC will not boot into the operating system.  Because they are system files I don't know if they are organized by the suppliers of specific device or if it is the only creation of Microsofts.  Copy the 2 files using the repair console was able to put me into the BONE without any additional problems.

    original title: product key

    Hello

As you have lost the product key of the Tower, it is a preinstalled operating system and you will need to contact the manufacturer of your computer.

They give you a different product key.

What you can do now is ask them to send you a set of recovery disc for the computer model reinstall the operating system to how it was when new.

Also while you are in contact with them, if you never receviced a reinstall to purchase drive, ask them how to make the recovery discs to do the same thing, if you still have access to the recovery partition.

None of these methods of resettlement requires normally allows you to provide a product key during Installation, the recovery process uses the Installation product key factory to activate automatically during the resettlement process.

  • [SOLVED] Corruption of Windows App - help?

I spent hours of searching and trying different ways to fix it - so please help!

I am the admin of my computer - and right now, by clicking on the apps causes the animation click, but no other activity. When troubleshooting the windows store, it is said that he has trouble with the config and a kind of corruption.

I tried everything nothing helped. I have no restore points more (since one of the damaged for some reason any), I have updated and practically lived on the CMD for quite awhile. But I found something really interesting:

I created another account (Microsoft instead of local) and everything worked perfectly! The apps were okay, the store updated correctly - everything was amazing! Is there a way to fix my main account to be the same as the secondary to make it work? Why does this happen? Can it be fixed, and can someone ' a Please walk me through how to do it?

    Thanks in advance!

    -----------------------------------------

    [SOLUTION]

After a lot of questions, I found my own fix.

    This is for people who:

-Could you not open their applications (click on animation worked, but it open no error message)

-Their app store would not be put to day/download anything

-Make a new user profile would work

-Clearing the cache of store did nothing.

    Why this happens:
    I have no freaking idea.

(Probably due to a kind of corruption of the registry any)

    The solution:

-Treat the profile of non-working as if it were damaged. [Find a way to do this in detail here]

-Read the article above and follow the instructions (I'll provide a base set)

    1. Start by making a new user profile. No matter what you name, or what is your password - just make an account and it will be changed later. Make sure they have properties of administrator.
    2. Log out of the old account and go to the new. (Make sure you only test whether the apps work in this one. If not then you have a different problem.)
    3. Go to C: / / users/OldAccountName (the last part is the name of your old account)
    4. Open C: / / users/NewAccountName (the last part is the name of your new account) in a new window.
    5. Click and drag all the old [[except ntuser.dat, ntuser.dat.log, ntuser.ini]] account to the new account. Do not copy and paste. This should take only a few seconds to a few minutes to do.
    6. If something move, copy and paste it in.
    7. Close the old account
    8. Search for 'Users' on the search for charm bar 8 windows. Click on the first thing you see, and it should open up the 'change PC settings' Menu as another application
    9. Change your account name and password as you like.

    Notes:

    • This will preserve your files, applications and everything, but you will need to reorder your preferences (your office layout or layout of your Start menu).
    • Old games and apps will NOT WORK. You will need to reinstall it on the new account and they will be sufficient. Mail, photos and other pre-installed applications will remain the same
    • AppData gave me a problem to transfer, you must remove your old account manually (from the SafeMode)?
    • It is almost certain to erase game app metro data, so please be prepared.
    • This process does not take long at all, but it's a pain jump back. It is worth in the end.
    • I also noticed the stablizer and pressure of the pen for my Tablet didn't work on my old account and in fact the whole pilot was out of whack. It's good on this account!
    • Your accounts don't recognize you. You will have to re - authorize your email and do all sorts of small annoying things (i.e. ' remember my password'
    • Some applications still choose not not to load, but they are clickable and they are raised. Yet to know it!

    Hope this helps :)

    Hello Takarama

I have the same problem a few months ago just ahead. When I click on the Apps, it just show the clicking on the Animation and it does not have to launch the App. I tried not Windows store troubleshoot Cache clearing Windows Store, reset Windows Store, checking the current system to run via the command prompt, the system restore and it did not work.

Try to reinstall all the apps problems first by uninstalling them and then installation by the Windows store.
Note: The App could not be in the Windows store

If it does not solve the problem, what I did was create another account, remove my Microsoft account associated with the problematic account, reconnect it with the new account and move all the files like Documents etc. To the new account. Then I changed the new account as an administrator. After the transfer of what is needed, I've deleted the account.

Well, it took time, but eventually, everything is fixed in the new account.

    Hope this Helps

Thanks for posting this question in the Microsoft Community.

  • Reinstall and download the dvd to install Windows Vista 32.

    Hello

    I would ask you,

How can I rewrite my original Windows Vista 32 on dvd? (download, so I can fix my laptop which had original Win vista).

    Thank you.

    Hello

Here are the different methods to reinstall Vista.

    The choice that suits you.

There is no Windows Vista downloads available from Microsoft.

You can contact your computer manufacturer and ask them to send you a set of recovery disks.

They should do this for a small fee.

To reinstall Vista using their recovery disk/s, you start from the 1st recovery disk they provide and follow the manufacturer's instructions to reinstall:

You need to change the Boot order to make the DVD/CD drive 1st in the boot order:

How to change the Boot order in BIOS:

    http://pcsupport.about.com/od/fixtheproblem/SS/bootorderchange.htm

"How to replace Microsoft software or hardware, order service packs and replace product manuals.

    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/326246

And if you have never received a recovery disk when you bought your computer, there should be a recovery Partition on the hard drive to reinstall Vista on how you purchased your computer.

The recovery process can be started by pressing a particular combination of the key or keys at startup. (Power on / start)

    Maybe it's F10, F11, Alt + F10, etc., depending on the manufacturer.

Ask them to the proper key sequence.

And if you do not score a manufacturer of recovery on your hard drive, you should be able to make your own recovery from her disks to reinstall the operating system.

Go to programs > name of the manufacturer of your computer > then their system or recovery tools software topics for them, depending on how it is formulated.

If you can't find any reference to it, contact the manufacturer for advice on how to make these recovery disks.

Some manufacturers have more available Vista recovery disks.

If this happens, you may need to try this instead:

You can also borrow and use a Microsoft Vista DVD, which contains the files for the different editions of Vista (Home Basic, Home Premium, Business and Ultimate) must be installed. The product key on your computer / Laptop box determines what Edition is installed.

Other manufacturers recovery DVDs are should not be used for this purpose.

And you need to know the version of 'bit' for Vista, as 32-bit and 64-bit editions come on different DVDs

Here's how to do a clean install of Vista using a DVD of Vista from Microsoft:

"How to do a clean install and configure with a full Version of Vista '

    http://www.Vistax64.com/tutorials/117366-clean-install-full-version-Vista.html

And once the operating system is installed, go to your computer manufacturer's website and get the latest drivers for your particular model or laptop computer.

And phone Activation may be necessary when you use the above installation method.

"How to activate Vista normally and by Activation of the phone '

    See you soon.

Video RAM is separate, but some cards also use the system to 'boost' memory capacity.  You cal telll them because they will say memory share as apposed to discreet.
