Need to change from an OS 32 bits of a 64 bit OS. Have a 64-bit processor

I have a 64 bit system based, but I Hat an OS installed initially of 32 bits. I went online and bought a windows8 pro license key. Then I used for the link (http://windows.microsoft.com/en-gb/windows-8/upgrade-product-key-only) to set up a media disc and install a new OS. Unfortunately the new OS is 32-bit too. Kindly help, I won't be stuck with an x 86 OS when I can manage a x 64. Where can I download and install a 64 bit pro windows8? Do I have to get a new license key for that also?

You can download only the 64-bit ISO for Windows 8/8.1 (if purchased by Microsoft as an upgrade as you have done) a 64-bit system.

Just FYI - there is no 'upgrade on the spot' of a 32-bit to 64-bit operating system.  It will be a CLEAN installation.  Everything will be removed and you will have to manually locate, download, and install hardware device drivers everything yourself to get the operating system up and work with all your stuff.

You can download said image ISO 64-bit since 64-bit machine WITHOUT the upgrade or modification of this computer, and then you could, in theory, the ISO allows you to burn a DVD or make a key USB to use make said new installation - your product key should be good for 32-bit or 64-bit Windows 8/8.1.

    How can I do?

    Hello
It is not possible to install the browser Internet Explorer 64 bit on 32-bit operating system.
    Step 1:
Please check the version of the operating system.
To find out if your computer is running a 32-bit version or 64-bit Windows in Windows 7 or Windows Vista, follow these steps:
    a. open system by clicking the Start button, right-click computer, and then clicking Properties.
    b. under system, you can view the system type.
    Step 2:
If it's a 64-bit operating system, you will have 2 browsers Internet Explorer in program files. Internet Explorer(X86)-32 bit and 64-bit Internet Explorer.
To configure Internet Explorer 32-bit as the default value.

    (a) open Internet Explorer (X 86) from files programs (C:\program may explore)
    (b) set as the default value.

The Internet Explorer shortcut in the Quick Launch toolbar, and in the x 64 Vista Start menu will run the 32-bit version of Internet Explorer by default. Why run the 32-bit version if IE on the 64-bit version of Vista?

There are actually two shortcuts for Internet Explorer in the "Programs" menu Why two and what is the difference?

This is the title of each and they run exe:

    Internet Explorer
    "C:\Program Files (x 86) \Internet.

    Internet Explorer (64-bit)
    "C:\Program may Explorer\iexplore.exe.

One runs IE in the "Program Files (x 86)" folder, this is the 32-bit version. The second is the 64-bit version.

How can I make the Quick Launch shortcut to run the 64-bit version of Internet Explorer?

    1. Right click on the shortcut
    2. Click 'properties '.
    3. On the shortcut tab, replace the contents of the text box 'Target' with the target of the shortcut in the menu 'Programs' 'Internet Explorer (64-bit)'.
    4. Happy surfing using IE 64 bit

There are traps to running the 64-bit version of Internet Explorer?

In fact I know there. At the time where as I write this there are no 64-bit version of Flash Player. So, if you need to view a Web site that uses Flash, then you will need to use the 32 - bit IE version. at least for now. I'm sure that Adobe is going to release a 64 bit version of Flash Player at the end of January when Vista shipped to consumers. But then again, maybe not since Vista x 64 works 32-bit IE by default.

If you have any other IE questions:

It comes with Vista, upgrade install and activate Forum.

They will help you with your question IE in Forum Internet Explorer above.

    See you soon.

  • Lost cd CS4, need to change from PC to MAC

Hello, I lost my cd for Photoshop CS4. I need to change from PC to MAC! where can I download the program?

License CD was only good for installation on a PC.  CS4 is too old to cross-grade to a Mac version.  Cross-grades are allowed for the most recent version (CS6).  You can also subscribe the creative cloud where the two platforms are planned with the same subscritpion.

    Ward,

First the bad news - no. Once a project has been created, this project is defined.

Now the good news - you have assets rounded up and know what needs to be done for them in the new project.

The only way to really move the editing to another project is a Clipboard utility (cannot even remember his name right now), that you can use to select all the assets on your Timeline, save the Clipboard improved and then paste it into the new project.

Seems that the name is something like ClipMate, but I do not know and never used.

    Good luck

  • I have a laptop that I need to print from my printer at home. What choices do I have?

You may buy a new ePrint printer and will find want to print to it without having to create an email.

Well, there is a way to simulate an experience of traditional printing with ePrint from a cell phone (or other mobile computer).

HP's ePrint driver Mobile that installs and behaves similar to a traditional printer, but it uses ePrint to print online.  In other words, you could be in the office and print to your personal printer with relative ease without occupying space of email to send it.

To get the pilot Mobile ePrint, you simply connect to your www.eprintcenter.com account and click on the download link on the right side to the bottom of the news column.  Once there, click on your operating system to get the correct version.

A manual for the ePrint can be found here.  It will describe in detail how to install the mobile driver and save the printer to it.

I hope this information is useful!

No further details. The search box in upper right corner of the display suddenly changed from the United States to the United Kingdom. I have nothing to do with it. Hello!

I have the Satellite A300D-205, with a Windows 7 32-bit on it. I've upgraded to Windows 7 from Windows Vista 32-bit by an upgrade DVD from Toshiba

I need Windows 7 64 bit. I was searching the net on this subject and the only thing I knew, I should have the 64-bit version of Vista. But I bought my laptop with Windows Vista 32 bit and have only Windows Vista RECOVERY DVD and the DVD of Windows 7 upgrade.

How can I change 32 bit to 64 bit

    Thanks for the attention

    Hello

To be honest, I don't know how you can do... I do not think, it is possible to obtain from Toshiba. I can't recommend allows you to get Win 7 64-bit to install. For all win7 drivers, take a look:

  • Need to change the properties of the Clipboard or increase the number of characters that can move from one program to another

    Original title: Clipboard

    Hello

I use a software and I have the problem with the paper, I need to change the properties of the Clipboard or to increase the number of characters that can pass from one program to another

where can find Clipboard in windows 7 and how can I change properties?

There is no user-oriented Clipboard option.

For 32-bit applications, the Clipboard can allocate blocks up to 2 GB in size or to a maximum of the amount of virtual memory in the PC has, is the least. The Windows Clipboard does not impose any other size limits.

  • Change from 32-bit to 64-bit with Windows 7 Home Premium Upgrade CD

    Hello

I'm currently on Windows 7 Home Premium 32 Bit.  Is it possible for me to move my Windows 7 32-bit to 64-bit using my Windows 7 Home Premium Upgrade CD? That is to say: to start my laptop with 64-bit upgrade CD and reformat my system?

Yes, you can use the same product used to enable the 32-bit version with 64-bit disc.

You will need to do a clean install, there is no place on the way to upgrade Windows 7 32 bit to 64 bit.

Using the disk of 64-bit Windows 7, install Windows 7 Windows Easy Transfer Utility from the DVD (to find it, simply navigate to x:\support\migwiz, "x:" is the name of your hard drive. (In this case, you will see a collection of files, the important"that you must search for and double-click is 'migsetup'.) run it and create a DAMP (Windows Easy Transfer file), if you have an external hard drive, you can access it later when you perform a clean install of Windows 7 64-bit disk so you can stored there.

Once you have done this, just do a clean install of Windows 7 64 bit disc. In Windows 7 64 bit disk, start Windows Easy Transfer, follow the wizard screen, tap on which is stored the WET file (external hard drive) and it will restore your personal files and settings. Reinstall the applications needed.

Boot from the DVD 64 bit Windows 7

To learn how to change your BIOS options to boot from the DVD drive, the following tutorial:

    http://notebooks.com/2011/05/05/How-to-load-BIOS-and-change-boot-configuration/

    Click Install now
    Accept the license agreement
When the option is displayed to select a type of installation, click (Custom advanced)

Select the disk partition where you want to install Windows 7 click Next.

You will receive the following warning:

The partition you have selected may contain files from a previous Installation of Windows. If so, these files and folders will be moved to a folder named Windows.old. You will be able to access the information in Windows.old, but you will be able to use your previous version of Windows.

(At all costs, do NOT click on anything in Format, deletion or Partition name.) So even do a custom installation, your personal files are still kept. Click OK

The installation program will now begin installation. During installation, your computer will be restarted several times.

Once the installation is complete, you can complete the Out of Box experience as the choice of your laptop, create a username, password, your time zone. You can then proceed to download the latest updates for Windows and reinstall your applications and drivers.

You can then retrieve your personal files from the Windows.old folder and reinstall all of your applications and drivers.
