Need to free space to upgrade

In order to apply the patch of shellshock, I tried to get my 5.8.2 vCOps VAPP improved to 5.8.3 first, but the upgrade could not say I need at least 1 096 MB / virtual machine of the user interface.

DF is showing only 891 MB on / but I'm unable to find information on how to free up space or add more space. Administrator's guide mentions adding a drive to the VM and it is automatically attributed to the/data, but I don't think it will help me. / data already has 61GB free (although the Administrator's guide also mentions who need more than 100 GB on/off data before performing an upgrade, but the error did not on this real...)

I noticed a ton of files tmp.10randomCharacters in the directory/tmp, but they persist beyond a reboot so I wasn't sure I could just delete them.

Any advice?

Thank you

You have three user accounts created. Andrealynn, the Animal and JoJo. This means that when run you disk cleanup you must login as each user in turn and run Disk Cleanup to remove unwanted files. I have already mentioned cCleaner. This will clean all at once.

    Use

select sum(bytes/1024/1024/1024) GB from dba_free_space where tablespace_name='tablespace name'

    Know schemae storage space

    select default_tablespace from dba_users where username='schema name';

    Know the perticular table tablespace

    select TABLESPACE_NAME from dba_tables where table_name='table name';

Utimetly you will be insert in tablespace, little matter how many data file you have and how many girl and how many of them have the space available.
So just to worry when the table space is saturated.

During the installation, your Mac may restart several times. It performs then a few initial configuration in the background tasks. 1. see Lion-Lion/mountain/storage of the Mavericks display.

    2. you can remove the data from your file except for the folder/Home/Library /.

    3. visit The FAQ XLab and read the FAQ on the free space on your hard drive.

    4. also see release space on your Mac OS X startup disk.

5 see where my disk space gone?.

    6 see the storage view.

You must empty the trash in order to recover the space they occupied on the hard drive.

You should consider to replace the drive with a larger. Check out OWC of readers, tutorials and boxes tools.

My upgrade to Yosemite el captain has been interrupted, and now when I boot it goes directly to the os x Installer and when I try to select my disc to install it says theres not enough of free space...

When I reboot it just for that again and again and again.

    I tried the following:

Boot into recovery and boot disk mode by selecting (nothing appears)

Boot into recovery mode, go to the disc utilities and the repair disc (not help)

Boot into recovery mode and re - install from there (gives the same error)

Can I delete files via the terminal?

Omni DiskSweeper can show you the exact size and location of all your files. It will be the inventory of your disc from files that occupy more space. It can also give you a fairer read disk space than the Finder or storage tab of the about this Mac. If you want you can even delete files from OmniDisk Sweeper.

  • Upgrade Windows XP to Windows 7 has no enough free space on hard drive

Hey, I'm trying to move from XP to 7 (custom installation), and after a while, you have to choose where you want to install windows 7, so I chose the disk which has more than 100 GB of free space, but the thing tells me that its not enough free space... Please help.

    Greetings

    Albert

Did you start the Windows XP installation?

You have external storage devices connected to the machine? If so, disconnect them all. In addition, if you have several internal storage devices, disconnect them all except the target device where Windows will be installed.

Boot from the Windows 7 DVD
    Click Install now
    Accept the license agreement
When the option is displayed to select a type of installation, click (Custom advanced)

Select the disk partition where you want to install Windows 7 click Next.

You will receive the following warning:

The partition you have selected may contain files from a previous Installation of Windows. If so, these files and folders will be moved to a folder named Windows.old. You will be able to access the information in Windows.old, but you will be able to use your previous version of Windows.

(At all costs, do NOT click on anything in Format, deletion or Partition name.) So even do a custom installation, your personal files are still kept. Click OK

The installation program will now begin installation. During installation, your computer will be restarted several times.

Once the installation is complete, you can complete the Out of Box experience as the choice of your laptop, create a username, password, your time zone. You can then proceed to download the latest updates for Windows and reinstall your applications and drivers.

You can then retrieve your personal files from the Windows.old folder and reinstall all of your applications and drivers.

  • Very new to VMware need to free up some space on the host

New to a company running VMware ESXi, 4.1.0. I connect using vSphere client.  Made some instruction free, installed a new test ESXi Server successfully created several virtual machines.  Now I want to install a new one on the production server, but before you start wanted to clean the previous IT guy.  4 old VM running on the host on which take place there, I need free of charge.  What is the standard procedure to remove the old virtual machines for free space?  I searched around but can't see anything I hope enough to do it on a production machine.

For example, select a virtual machine on the host computer, click on remove brings to the top of the dialog box stating "are you sure you want to delete the"VM name"and he has associated with basic disks? If other virtual machines share these basic disks, they won't have access to these drives"I do not know yet the exact definition of a basic disk leaves only if another machine is sharing...

I tried on my test server and it seems to work but I installed these and did not indicate how it is shared between them that I know and on the production machine, I'm reluctant to roll the dice.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Well, we are talking about two things here now. Data warehouses and vDisk (hard). When you delete the virtual machine of the disc it will remove only that is the files in the data store, which are elements such as hard, .vmx, .vswp, files etc. of newspapers. It will not remove anything in the data store that does not belong to the virtual machine you are deleted. To see these use your VI-Client and select a host-> go to the tab settings-> then under Select storage hardware component-> in the do right pane right click on a data store and select Browse. a from there, you will see the a file structure that should have the files that correspond to the names of your VMs. Select one of the folders, then to the right, you will see all the files inside. So basically when you delete a virtual disk computer it will delete the file. The big question is you do anything as a group which would require vDisk shared between two or more VM (s) that you do / or do not want to delete.
