• How to disable the Advanced tab on the properties of PDF dialog box

  I have created a simple form on Adobe FormsCentral and noticed that the Advanced tab in the PDF Properties dialog box is disabled (user cannot change things like Page Scaling, etc.). While the viewer preferences dictionary is described in the PDF specification, I've found anything in the PDF specifications for the deactivation of the Advanced tab of the properties of PDF dialog box to prevent users to change these values.   The reason why the 'Advanced' tab does not change anything is because the exported document of the FormsCentral is registered with extended Reader rights. • Connection and configuration USB-485/2 2 son loopback

  I use the NI USB-485/2 with CVI box and managed to configure the ports of two 485 in mode 4 son, connects the ports for the Loopback tests and tested by sending data a port and reception of the same data in the second.  Now I want to change the configuration 2-wire because I need to interface with equipment using 2 son so I could read on all the documents that I can find and still have confusion on the port configuration of 2-wire control and transceiver loopback connections.  I see three options of port configuration of 2-wire) 1 DTR controlled with echo, 2) DTR controlled without echo, TXRDY 3) controlled car.  I see the 'RS-485 Transceiver Control' table in the manual and quick reference but don't understand what he's trying to tell me at all.  I studied it for a long time.  There is no explanation of these three options.  So my question is what are the differences in these three and for each of these options how the port must be configured (any active Protocol communication?) and how would wire the 2 ports together to run a loopback test?

  I have port configurations installation via attributes VISA for Auto 2 son with baud, num bits, stop bit, etc., and seems back successful responses.  (I used VISA only because I have not found the ComSetEscape call until I finished the above).  I connected bore - portB TX - TX and portA TX + portB TX + for the loopback test and couldn't get it to work in the short time that I tested.  It seems that the data passes but never gets received.  I use the VISA entry and read functions.

• In the firewall, under the Advanced tab, have error that says: "the network connection settings have been corrupted. It is the last issue after problems with Windows Security Esstentials

• Advanced tab of the options does not work. Firefox is no longer the default browser. How can I fix it?

  It is technically possible, but please note that USB-6501 as only software clocked e/s digital (e/s static). In other words the duty cycle of the PWM periodocity Ant you want to generate will be determined by a loop software, so depending on your system and the USB bus. I think that you will not be able to get a better rate of loop (ability to change the State of a digital line) less than some milliseconds (depending on the system).

  By example, if the loop runs at 5ms, and I want 10 steps in my PWM, this means the period will be 50ms, therefore a 20 Hz base frequency. If you can't reach 1ms, you will get 100 Hz. If you want more than 10 duty cycle value, you reduce the frequency.

  And it is NOT stable (loop software 5ms, first delta 5.8ms, then 4.9ms, 5.1ms, 6.7ms, and so on), because it is based on the software. If you need something stable and faster, choose a device with hardware synchronizing.

  I am endevoring to build a gasification plant biomass for bench scale test process control plans. NEITHER USB-6008/6009 will be adapted for use as a data acquisition. I'll take RTDS, thermocouples and pressure sensors. I don't want to use industrial automation controllers.  It is also possible to use the channel of analog output for sending signals to a control valve position (using sufficient current/voltage between the two drivers).

  (1) OK.  I just wanted to be sure that you were aware of the potential dangers.

  (2) an RTD is a resistance that has small changes in resistance per degree of temperature change. To measure that you have need of a current source and a sufficient resolution in order to detect small changes.  At 25 degrees C a typical RTD is 109,73 ohms and resistance ohms 0.38 per degree changes.  If you had 1 my crossing this RTD voltage through it would be 109,7 mV and the voltage change of 0.38 mV by degree.

  The resolution of the 6008 on the most sensitive range is 0.49 mV > 1 degree.  The accuracy of the 6008 is 1.5 mV typical.

  For a Type K thermocouple, voltage at 25 degrees is 1.407 mV and change by degree is 39 µV.  Millivolt solving half of the 6008 translates into about 12 degrees.

  If you need a source of excitement for RTD and a kind of amplification for thermocouples and RTD before she would make any sense to try to use USB-6008.

  (3) I have not used anything except LabVIEW with DAQ devices and drivers.  I think DAQmx can be used with MATLAB and other languages.

  I looked for a solution for a while now. According to Web sites OR the NI USB-9162 is compatible with LabView 2012. I installed the last DAQmx. My hardware has been detected and is sensitive to MAX and works very well in LabView Signal Express. But it is not detected in LabView 2012. I searched the forum and not found any solution other then all uninstallation and reinstallation of any. It is quite conssuming time and would rather avoid if possible. Anyone have a solution? I wish I could appreciate.

• NEITHER USB 6008 OEM DEATH

  Hello

  I have a problem with some NI USB 6008 OEM.

  They do not work! I have attached to my PC and the light starts flashing, Windows detects new hardware and everything's fine (the same way it usually works with the regular OEM-NIUSB6008 Board, not).

  Suddunly led turns OFF, and the jury never come back to life again. I run the MeasurementStudio, and I see the boards with a red cross or without serial number (when they are shown as if they were present in the system).

  I bought 10 boards and I don't want to try with anyone, because I don't know what is happening and I don't want to kill them all :-(

  We have developed some equipment with regular tips and there is no problem... What is the mystery with the OEM ones?

  Thanks for your response and documentation on the flashing led behavior. It helped me a lot to know that if the led is flashing, it could be because it is not properly initialized.

  In fact, I had the 8.1 DAQmx version installed on my PC that worked perfectly well with regular advice to the NI USB-6008 (boxed version).

  When I plugged the OEM boards, the system seemed to load the drivers and then a message pops up saying "your device is ready to use", but as you know when I opened MAX he didn't have a serial number, or sometimes, he appeared with a red cross.

  So, I downloaded a newer driver: DAQmx 8.8. ... I installed it on my PC (first remove DAQmx8.1) and it worked

  So, the problem is solved! The problem was, I think, because of the bad initialization of the device. The problem is solved by installing a DAQmx 8.8 version. It works very well with regular and USB-6008 OEM boards.

• Interaction with advancing tabs

  I work in Captivate 9.0 and I have created a simple interaction with 3 tabs that reveals a different content for each tab (no interaction, simply by changing the State of an object when you click on the Advanced tab). I've tinkered with all the different actions on the output, etc., but I can't get the slide to stop advance automatically after I clicked on each of the three tabs. I want the user to click on a "Continue" button (that I inserted into the slide and that works) when they are ready to move and after they are able to click back between tabs as they want.

  Is there some setting or the workaround that I'm not aware? I did a quick search on the forum here, but see nothing.

  Joins using external in the layer MDB is not recommended because it brings in the tables in the query and also impact performance. The right way to handle this scenario is the ETL.

  Add a record to the dimension tables with 0 for the ROW_WID and NULL values for the rest of the columns
  All of fact records without valid WID values for the dimension of research must have a value of 0 instead
  Now when we try to do an INTERNAL JOIN between the fact and any dimension, even those made documents that donot have a valid WID value will also be part of the result. It is essentially an OUTER JOIN operation.

• Cannot enter URL or use the Advanced tab when you create a test (local) Server

  I created a site in Dreamweaver and I tried to create a test server. However whenever I try to create a test server Dreamweaver does not allow me to enter the URL in the server window. I need to knnow its local (localhost), but it seems that there should always be a URL - http://localhost/...

  It allows me to put in the name of the server, the type of connection - Local/network and allows me to navigate to the server folder and select it, but does not allow me to put data in Web URL: field.

  In addition, it I cannot select the Advanced tab to specify the model of my server - PHP MySQL.

  When I click on save with these settings I can see all the necessary files and folders in the testing server Dreameaver window but when I go to create a connection to the base I get an error saying "the prefix of the URL . http:// " for this testing site server cannot be resolved"-hit the Select button to select the database.

  I'm running WAMP (under Windows 7) and I can see the database in phpMyAdmin. I know that the username and password are correct.
