  • How can I fix the error message Winsock cmd "this operation requires an elevation"?

I'm having serious trouble with my machine does not get on the internet. I have already established that it is not the modem or the access provider.  I did a restore sys in the last 72 hours (a day) and nothing has been fixed. I will note that Sunday night, feeding in which the machine was in was interrupted. I do not restart the machine until Tuesday, when my antivirus AVG picked up a back door Trojan and supposed to be deleted. This would make the 2nd meeting with the same virus in the last 30 days.  After my reboot of the machine, the icons of the internet were not blinking and my antivirus had a yellow triangle with a "!" on this subject. I started investigating and discovered that I can't connect to my ISP, which is Clear4g. I contacted them, and since the machine I'm on now works successfully on their service, we determined that they were not at fault.  ....

  • Create process failed; code 740 the requested code requires an elevation trying to download the latest version of Any Video Converter

While I was trying to download the latest version of Any Video Converter I got the message: create process failed; code 740; the requested code requires a rise.  What does that mean and what should I do to be able to download this program?

    Hello

    (1) have you made changes before the start of this issue?

    (2) what website you are trying to download from?

    (3) when exactly you get the error message? While trying to download or install?

    (4) what browser do you use?

    (5) can you download and install other applications/programs successfully?

Create process Failed: Code 740 is an error which is caused by Windows being unable to load the permissions that your computer needs to function correctly.

Try disabling the user account control:

Enable or disable the User Account Control

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows-Vista/turn-user-account-control-on-or-off

Note: User Account Control (UAC) can help you to prevent your computer from unauthorized changes. It works by asking permission when a task requires administrative rights, such as installing software or changing settings affecting other users. We do not recommend disable user account control. If you turn it off, you must reactivate as soon as possible.

  • Create process failed code 740 requested operation requires an elevation

After installing the trial version Everest (material ID software), I get this message "create prosess failed code 740 requested operation requires a rise." This was followed by a crash after x'ing out.  Funny things are gone. Mouse came out the other day (possibly not related), yesterday lost keyboard driver. Then downloaded regcure and all the he'll is unleashed. I have Mcafee dumped (which was), installed and run AVG and one - quared and found nothing. I also run Microsoft malicious software last week and found nothing. last night when I was trying to get rid of regcure - which I downloaded from the site of microsoft in connection, it would pile up a hundred windows on my screen and then told me that he was no longer at the location. I don't know where he is. . I know it's a lot of things, but just try to ask for one. I'm afraid that I'm digging deeper.

The Everest product is certified for Windows 7? I note on their web page to claim "BOLD", it adapts to all versions of Windows, I tend to doubt since Windows 7 places many restrictions on software, especially when it comes to probe the material. I would like to use the system restore to return Windows to a point before the installation of Everest.

  • Why "the requested operation requires an elevation" error with compressed files?

8.1 Pro x 64 win (installation clean dec 2014). After years of no problem with the zipped files, since February 3 I get a message titled "altitude" by trying to open the files zipped, be they open them in Windows Explorer or after you download and get the choice open with Internet Download Manager. Here is a screenshot with Windows Explorer: http://i57.tinypic.com/2624mmd.jpg.  OTOH, zipped files open them directly from another Manager files, XYplorer, and I can open them via my default zip file Extractor IZarc. Although I hand't nothing changed, I thought that authorization, as the source of the problem, but the three points in the user names or group for the folder and the files have all the permissions checked except for special permissions. Any idea of what this could be the cause?  Because I have not any change in config, I wonder if a Windows update might be behind it. It is a desktop PC of the single user with one account. Thank you

Yes I think that should change as well.  You should be able to force it by double-clicking any ZIP file and choose "open with > set as default" and choose the favorite program of this dialog box (which I really hate because it disappears if you click outside, so it's basically dialog too bad if you want to go check something before making your choice).

Some commands that you can run using the command line may require high or administrative privileges. To run these commands, you can use the run as administrator command:

    1. Click the button start .
    2. In the search box, type command prompt.

    3. In the list of results, right-click Guest, and then click Run as administrator. If you are prompted for an administrator password or a confirmation, type the password or provide confirmation.

You can also use Start > Accessories > right click on command prompt, etc.

  • "The requested operation requires a rise."

Before installing Win 7 I saved a bunch of files and folders on an external hard drive. Tonight, when I tried to look at text files, I had created in Open Office, I got the error message "the requested operation requires a rise". If I right click and go to 'Properties' tab 'Security' and 'user or group name' there is a red question mark followed by a long row of numbers. (A reference to my existence of XP? Other names in this area to refer to my current system). There are options to change the permissions on 'Edit' and 'Advanced '. I don't like on these files, but I didn't change any settings that might adversely affect the program or the files of 'parent '.                                                                                                                                                              (When I created this title I had links to the forums of Vista, but the issues do not cover my problem.)

The long row of numbers that you see in the list of accounts on the Security tab is called security ID (or a SID).  When Windows does not recognize the security identifier associated with file ACL (Access Control List / Permissions) it displays the SID.  Normally, Windows will be able to translate this SID in an account name or an alias, such as "domain\username".

It seems that the original permissions are always associated with the files you are trying to access to and they are considered alien to the computer you are trying to access it from.  To open these files, you will need to take possession of them and give you access to read (or write/edit/delete).  This is the error message occurs.  "The requested operation requires an elevation" means that, in order to open the file, you will need high approval of a local administrator to capture and access.

You may already be logged on to your system as a user who is a member of the local administrators, but Vista, Windows 7 and Windows Server 2008 offer additional layers of security to help protect your system.  This is called UAC or control user access.  Basically, even if you are the administrator Windows protects certain administrative functions with another layer of security.  You've probably seen the screen getting dimmed and a dialog asking you if you want to continue or cancel a certain operation.  It's UAC asking if you are really really really sure about what you are about to do and ensure that you're the only one doing it and not a red process or virus trying to take charge.

In order to change the ownership of files that you can...

    1. go the properties of the folder that contains the files that needed to take possession of
    2. click on the Security tab
    3. click on Advanced
    4. click on the owner tab
    5. click on Edit...
    6. Select the account name in the change in ownership to the list that you want to support
    7. check the box, replace the owner of subcontainers and objects
    8. click on OK

The ownership information will be updated on all objects in the folder including subcontainers (or subfolders).  Depending on the number of files and folders in your starting point there do this take a long time to complete.  Once it is down you will be able to change the security permissions you want to the files and folders (for example, control total, read-only, read & write, etc.).

NOTE: If you are not logged in as administrator on your system, the above steps will work not like taking possession of object file requires administrator privledges.

  • Reader crashes when opening the pdf while UAC elevation

    Hello

I'm a developer who has a package installer for our software which, of course, requires UAC elevation to perform the installation.

On the last screen of the installer, we try to give the user the possibility to open a .pdf of our user manual.  Any other than .pdf format works very well, but Adobe Reader will not open, and once this has happened, Adobe Reader does not work at all until the user opens a session and return to.

Comments of the vendor of the package install (Setup factory):

    > >On Windows 8 and 8.1, Adobe Reader does not start correctly when it is called from the high count (after UAC has been shown and has been granted access). If you perform the same script from a facility that has been manifested to run "as applicant", you will see the PDF document opens correctly, which suggests that there is some kind of problem with the Adobe sandbox. If another application PDF, such as Foxit or SumatraPDF, is installed on the target computer and saved for the manipulation of PDF documents, you will see that the file opens correctly, even when the viewer of documents is launched, after the elevation of the user took.

This seems to be a bug in Adobe Reader?  Or am I missing something?

    Scott

    Eve software postage

I'm not saying that it was designed to work that way, or that everything is fine. But it can be good for you (and me) to review, it's a good idea to run Adobe Reader unnecessarily high. Similar considerations apply to the choice that many installers are doing "run applications now?" at the end.

(Security scenario: lock PC.) Admin comes to install your software, between the password for UAC. Installation in competition, starts. The user now has a copy of Adobe Reader, where they can record in tight areas, perhaps compromising safety).

(Privileges Scenaro: elevation software creates a file of preferences, as an administrator.) Later runs, not high, can not overwrite the preferences file, leaving the user to have preferences).

(System scenario: I read that communication with the shell does not work for a higher app and shell not higher.) No further details).

  • I don't have admin permissions, in MY ADMIN ACCOUNT

Hi, my name is luiz and I run an edition 64-bit windows vista Home premium.

Suddenly he starts to tell me, when I was installing itunes for example, the installatioin couldn't be completed, because I had not enough privileges, when I remove a program folder it says the same thing, in cmd, I typed "netstat-b" and he said that this operation requires an elevation. I want to have control over my computer I want to say that in the name of gods is more privileged than the freakin admin account. what I need to know, is how can I give my authorisation max has to do something, so I better control on my account. also, yes I tried "run as Administrator" and no, I don't want to activate the hidden admin according to I governed my computer once and now I can't do barely anything, so please help me. :-)

refine ways to improve performance. Several tools suggest that they make your window faster and better. But I never recommend using such tools.

If you get the quick UAC all right. You must run cmd with admin (run as admin) rights and accept the UAC prompt for administrator rights if you want to start netstat - b.

With UAC turned you have standard user rights most of the time. To get administrator rights, you must select 'run as administrator' every time.

This could be linked to control settings for the account (UAC), a possible solution to your problem is to change the UAC level using the following method:

    (1) Start button
    (2) research "uac" and press enter
    (3) change at the level of the UAC at the lowest of the 4 levels
    (4) restart the computer
    (5) run VI

Let me know if this resolves your mistake.

I have no idea who is the administrator system on my computer, I am the only person who uses it, I admit, but when I try to do something I thought for the permission of the system administrator - how to find out about it?

    Operating system?

In Windows Vista/7 - even if you were to log on as the built-in Administrator, some things you would do (such as installing an application or access to certain files or folders) require an elevation of privileges.  Maybe that's what you see.

However, you chose to not reveal your OS for some reason.

  • UAC is not inviting for some things from windows updates

Hello, I noticed something strange since the windows updates this week. Some applications that require UAC elevation before no longer seem to make - games as games, Battlefield 2, etc. UAC is still ongoing enforcement and not disabled, as for example if I try precisely to run a program as an administrator, it appears, and some programs continue also to the prompt about opening like Malwarebytes Anti-Malware and all that the brackets in file systems without going through a dedicated service running for him, it just feels as if UAC has been 'relaxed' or at least updated with a list of programs is not to trigger for.

I know that there is an update for the windows 7 UAC a few years ago which facilitated the situations in which the guests would appear, but it's on a Vista system and I don't know if it is problematic. I ran malware scans and they came to own; and this has only started happening (as much, I noticed) the last turns of windows updates, but by reading the articles in the knowledge base for them I'm not sure if one of them would have changed the sensitivity of UAC on Vista guests.

Could someone tell if it is a consequence of any updates? Thank you.

    Hello

I suggest you to check the following link, which talks a lot about UAC.
