Network connectivity issues

I'm having a weird problem with my browsers (IE11) on several PC-
my laptop (Win 8.1) and desktop (Win 7).

The problem is that when I try to open some Web sites - I get a
«network error"indicating that the PAGE CANNOT BE DISPLAYED with a fix «»
Connect button"- which, at the time of impact - analysis errors - find no-
so I then close the page - a few moments later, the original requested page
pops up

The problem only occurs, apparently at random and not necessarily the
same site, every time...

Both machines are fully updated and I use AVG Antivirus.

What could be the reason for this? 1

Hello

Thank you for your response.

Have you tried using the advice given in the previous post?

Please reply so that we can help you further.

Thank you

It turns out be Server DNS related - I used the servers (for 5 years!) - changed to OpenDNS - no more problems

Thank you

Have you tried to update the driver for the Ethernet program in Device Manager? There is a way to update the driver without looking for a online. If you click Start, right click computer / my computer and go to properties. Left click and you will see the Device Manager on this page. Left click and it will display all the programs running on your system. On the list you will see the network card. This is the connector of your motherboard Ethernet. If the driver is damaged, it can cause problems. If a right click on the map once you open the file that is the sign +. Right on the name of the map for example.

Realtek PCIe GBE Family controller and driver update. Do not click automatically download driver I will choose on the next page as well. Which will bring you to a menu of the drivers already in your machine. Choose the name of the Ethernet connector on the list and load the driver. Restart the device and see if it helps. The other option is to uninstall instead to replace the driver, then windows will get the driver for you on reboot. Trying to help, but it is difficult without actually seeing what is happening. If I could see what you look at, this would help a lot. There are so many veriables as to what is happening not that it is hard to say. It is a program that works very well for an uninstall program of programs that do not want to be uninstalled. It also has an autorun Manager in the tool file which will tell you how much and what programs start at startup = you only need windows to start. Not all of the addons that want to run = size/slow/hard on the system. Be sure to follow the instructions EXACTLY if you use the uninstaller. You can see all programs in your program files if you want to install revo. I have used this program for several years and works well. When / if you download the decline of the program all the third party programs. It's free because of the advertising, but you don't need more space.

  • c7250 network connectivity issues

I searched through all the posts and has not found any help for my problem (after trying everything I came on) so this is.

I have just received, as a gift, the C7250 AIO and impossible to get it remains connected to a network cable or wireless.  When I install the device (either wireless or cable network), the unit works fine, but when I shut down or restart the device is not connected.  If I have "My Computer", open, both the network c7200 icon will be there and then disappear.  The same thing with the c7200 scanner icon.  He will be there, and then disappear.   Enter the printer and Faxes folder, I see similar symptoms.  The printer (and fax) will appear online (ready), then jump off (offline).  If I look at the two windows the device appears and then disappears.  No problem with the device when connected to a USB cable.

I've uninstalled and reinstalled the software probably 6 + times and spent 2 days trying to make it work.

I am running Windows XP, with a Netgear router (I just bought that today, thinking that my router Linksys could be the problem, but the printer reacts the same thing with both routers).  I have also been devoted to the installation of the printer and created a new port (192.168.1.160) in the hope that it could solve the problem, but not luck.  I disabled my McAfee (to disable the firewall), but that did not help.

My daughter has one from a source other than mine (so it isn't the same batch), and it has similar problems.  Here now, returned, once again, gone.  It's the same symptoms.

Any help (before returning the printer) would be appreciated.  It works fine on USB but I need the capabilities of the network printer.  Is this just a problem with printer HP networking?  Oh, by the way, if I display "manage network" McAfee in their 'Security Center' or run a network monitoring program, the printer's IP address is always there and always constant.

    TIA,

    Rich

I forgot the 1st Comandment of computing.  Look for the updates.

There, on the page of the software, was a patch/update software called, "Critical update to enhance reliability of network and USB connectivity and improve system responsiveness while printing".

Once I ran the update that all my problems disappeared and the printer works well (no connectivity problem, no stop error and my system is back up to normal operating speed).

  • With XP Pro SP3 and Win 7 x 64 network connectivity issues

I have three computers on a home network via the connection to the router. Box 1 running XP Home. Box 2 XP Pro SP3 and the box I use is (my main box 3) running Windows 7 Pro x 64. In Norton 360 all the boxes appear. The Win 7 system does not appear in the local network on the two first machines. The software shows them as being shared and protected. Win 7 shows however all three machines appear in computer (win 7) and will not let me connect and I would like to receive files from the XP Home (box 1) machine. You cannot connect at all to the box to XP Pro from 1 or 3. When I try to connect to my main box 2 box I get this message

"box2\ is not accessible. You might not have permission to use this network resource. Contact the administrator of this server to find out if you have access permissions. Not enough server storage is available to process this command. »

Any ideas as to why XP Pro box are not accessible? As I said it has all the preferences enabled file sharing. The firewall is not the cause, and the antivirus is not the cause. I have disabled both to exclude it. I can use the utility to transfer files between machines 2 - 3 but that doesn't help me get the kind of access that I owe to my backup drives that are on the machine 2 (xp pro).

It must be something simple that I forget (I hope)

    Any help is greatly appreciated!

The problem that is described in the article does not always cause Event ID 2011.   The steps in this article should solve the problem, even without this event ID.

I'm sorry, but I don't know if removing and reinstalling Norton will fix the problem.  Try it and see!  Test the network after UN-installing and then again after re-installation. Boulder computer Maven

  • The network connection issues of comments with EA6300 (Linksys Smart wifi router AC1200)

I have a friend who runs a Bed and Breakfast, and it is problems with guests to be able to connect to the Guest network.  She bought this router on the recommendation of Best Buy Geek Squad, after that she had a few problems with his predecessor.

Everything is configured correctly, the router seems to work very well, especially with the normal network.  Network comments can be seen, with a decent amount of signal strength, but when people try and connect to the network and try to use it, they are never invited for comments login screen.

I was able to verify that it works in fact - I helped set it up, but apparently there are several people who use Android phones and tablets and iPads that do not receive a prompt to enter the password of comments and continue.

Is there any manual addresses can be entered in a browser to access the web connection screen invited?

OR even better, is there a way to assign the password to the guest SSID as a normal wireless access point rather than allowing customers to connect to a password-promptless guest SSID and must try to finagle screen comments for pop up password?

It's very frustrating for both my friend who runs a business and myself who are in favour.  The router is defective?  Y at - it a new firmware?  Any help would be appreciated.

Hi troybenedict. For Android tablets and phones, there is an option there to forget the network.  Let them do first and connect again.

In addition, they should asked for the password only when they begin to access Web sites.  They do not have that?

You can also check the number of comments allowed Guest Access tab. There are limits the number of authorized clients.

    Method 2:

First, disable all other connections to try to force the wireless connection to request the information needed in the router.

    (a) click Start

    (b) Control Panel

    (c) network and sharing Center

    (d) managing network connections.

    (e) click every link that is EXCEPT the wireless LAN connection, and then click on disable this network device.

    (f) then see if your wire will connect.

    (g) you should probably run the diagnostic and repair utility on the Network and Sharing Center menu to force the wireless card to request information from the router IP.

    Method 2:

If all else fails, go back into the network and sharing Center, manage network connections and right click on the wireless network connection and select Properties.

Then click Internet version 4 Protocol and select Properties.

Click in the box that says "Use following IP address" and enter the information that has been shown in IPCONFIG report for your connection to the Wired Local network above.

Do the same for "use the following DNS servers."

Make sure that you type the IP address, mask subnet, default gateway, and DNS addresses exactly the same than the connection to the Local network was when he got the information from the router.

  • Home wireless network connections cut - a router issue?

    I have 2 PC:

    1 desktop running XP (SP3) on a H61DE/S3 Asrock mobo and Intel G620 2.6ghz CPU. RAM = 2 x 2 GB.
    2. laptop running Windows 7 + Intel i3 CPU
    3 wireless router D-Link DSL-2680 =
The office is directly connected to the router via an ethernet cable wireless.
I created a wireless network which consists of my office and cell phones with the help of a USB and the XP Wizard on my desk. I then clicked on "Network Setup Wizard" in the Control Panel on my desktop (XP) and created the network connections.
When I boot-up the two machines, I can see and access the connections network of desktop and laptop.
HOWEVER, if I let the machines for a while and then come back, although I can see the icon for "DESKTOP" in my network places on my laptop, when I click the icon, the cursor looks like this market, but then an error window appears stating that it cannot find the device and I want to diagnose the connection. When I click YES, sometimes, it detects the OFFICE and sometimes it doesn't.
The same thing happens on the desktop when I click on the "PORTABLE computer" icon in "My Network places".
The strange thing is, when I try to connect via Start Menu / run / \\'IP address on the laptop or desktop, I can connect usually either to the PC.
    The questions are
1 can you explain why I should b affected by these connection question - is this a problem of compatibility between window7 and XP?
    2. what type of home network, maintained by the router or directly between the laptop and desktop computer without involving the router?
    Thank you
I assume that the HOMEDESKTOP, in this case, XP is the master browser because it is physically connected to the router and it is this machine that I created the wireless network and local.

N ° master of domain is chosen in an election.  All devices have an equal chance of being elected little matter how they are connected. (A domain controller can always win, but that's neither here nor there).  The problem here is that the Win 7 machine doesn't listen to the broadcasts and therefore think that it is the only device on the network and therefore chooses himself as master of go.  The XP machine is involved in a normal election except that the Win 7 machine does not participate because he is not listening.  They both choose and for a while, you have two masters to browse.  The only listening to computer (XP) finally gets tired of hearing machine Win7 and abandoned as a master browser.  Win 7 becomes the only browser then, but it does not work because he doesn't listen to any computer on the network.  You can check this by bringing a window prompt (start-> Run-> "cmd") and enter the command:
    nbtstat - a HOMEDESKTOP
    or
    nbtstat - a ROMANLAP1-PC
If the targen computer thinks that he is a master of travel, you will see a line "__MSBROWSE__".

For some reason, keeping the folders "My Documents" opened on both machines maintained the connection for 15 hours that day.

Anyway that you can keep the active connection, the machines will partner with the other.  Once a connection is idling, then it must re-establish contact and is when the master browser or a response of diffusion is necessary and the Win 7 machine is unresponsive.

Try following all the steps in the article according to which apply to your configuration:

  • Internet connection issues "Limited or no connectivity." and "windows could not find a certificate to log on the network.

I'm so unable to connect to the internet?

    Hello.

I'm so unable to connect to the internet.

Since I've renamed our WiFi network and add a WEP key, I have problems with wireless connection on my
Windows XP computer desktop, which is a Dell Dimension 4700.

The questions that I get connection are...

"windows could not find a certificate to log on the network.

    "Limited or no connectivity."

I did all the solutions I could try to fix the connection problem!

    1. once I received the message "limited or no connectivity", I click with the right button on the connection and click on repair. It is not always connect for me and I got the "limited or no connectivity message.»

    2. then, I disabled the network connection and then enabled. That no longer works.

    3. I tried to withdraw from the ordered list of connections, and it still doesn't work.

    4. I checked the driver manager, and initially the Ethernet driver was outdated and missing of its pilot. He had a yellow question mark with a black sign and yellow with an exclamation mark inside.

    5. I used DriverZone, downloaded the driver, installed and rebooted the computer after the installation of the it. Apparently, it worked. But I could not always connect.

6 I have ensured that I entered the correct WEP key, and then adjust the settings correctly. I did it like 10 times in a row and would not always connect.

    7. I tried to go to the command prompt and typed in IP Config/All and that's what I mean.

    Windows IP configuration
    Node type: unknown
    Active IP routing: no
    WINS proxy enabled: no
ETHERNET connection to the Local network card
State of the media: Media disconnected
Description: Intel PRO/100 VE Network Connection
Ethernet card 2 wireless network connection:
    Suffix the connection-specific DNS: (EMPTY)

    8. after that, I typed the command: ipconfig/release
and then I got this error...

No operations can be performed on the connection to the local network, although it has its media disconnected.

    9. after that, I tried Googling for some solutions, and the solutions I found were not any use.
    A solution was

    10. opening of Services...

    and it still doesn't work.

    11. when I look in the menu network connections, I see my connection with a lock on the side, with a red X under the lock and key. In the description, I see not connected, protected by a firewall. How could I remove the internet connection firewall? I disabled the firewall and that did not work.

    12. I tried to uninstall and reinstall the network card and who does not work either.

It is not the network itself that is the problem.  It is not the modem or the cable. There are no disconnected son or something like that. We have other computers in the House and the internet works fine on other computers. As I said, since I renamed our WiFi network and added a WEP password, I had problems with connecting to my Windows XP computer.

My computer has updates that must be installed as well. Updates would fix the problem? I just need to have internet.

What should I do? Thank you for your time.

    Sincerely,

    Justin

Have you tried to set the value of the link speed/duplex mode? I had the same problem you describe. Your card is only capable of 10/100 communication.
