Network EDGE of blackBerry Smartphones

I'm from the Venezuela and I have a Blackberry Curve 8310. I just went to the United States and before leaving, I activated the international service with my local mobile network provider. Once I arrived in the United States, I noticed that the phone seems to have the ADVANTAGE, but happens only in small letters (edge) and I can´t in fact use any application of BB (Messenger of BB, push mail, etc.) help or advice will be greatly appreciated. Thank you

This isn't a problem on your device. This might be the reason why you roamed over a network that doesn't support roaming with your current service provider. With the low edge of breakage, you get the following services

  • EDGE of blackBerry Smartphones and now Inernet on TORCH 9800

    Hello

I really EDGE like this on my phone but when I open a page I have this:

It is not included as part of your plan current service of navigation via the cellular network. To browse the web, you should use the Wi - FI or contact your service provider to change your service plan.

I can also use Blackberry messenger and no message can be sent.

What should I do? I have the blackberry torch 9800 with ATM mobilis Algeria and EDGE runs correctly on mobile?

OK... Well this is only half of what they should have done; just confirming that you have an account does not solve your problem. Think of it this way... you PAY for ALL your services and ALL your formal support... you should be very angry (with them) that they deliver or you...

  • Edge of blackBerry Smartphones and UMA signal does not

Over the few weeks I noticed that my phone is stuck on the GPRS network all the time and find EDGE or UMA - I can find my house through the wireless section hub but can not connect to it - sometimes with the connection completed and now in the last days that I can not connect via my browser , but all my emails and sms work perfectly - have returned my phone service books, but with no success.

Please help as I love my blackberry and feel lost without her, when she does not correctly.

Hi and welcome to the Forums!

Whenever random strange behaviors creep, the first thing to do is a battery pop reboot. With power ON, remove the hood back and remove the battery. Wait a minute, then replace the battery and cover. Power on and wait patiently through the long reboot - about 5 minutes. See if things return to functioning. Like all computing devices, BB suffers from memory leaks and others... with a hard reboot is the best remedy.

    Best!

What is your signal when this happens? It shows that EDGE at least 3 bars? If this is not the case, try to reset the device by removing the battery for 1 minute. After restarting the device (~ 1-3 minutes), check the signal and try again

  • Networks of the blackBerry Smartphones United Kingdom

    Hello

I'm about to buy a Blackberry 9000 and I heard bad things about the system orannge on BB to the United Kingdom.

Can someone recommnd which is the best network to go please?

I'm new to this forum, so I hope that this happens to the bulletin board right to the United Kingdom.

    Thank you

Vodafone have a strong alliance with BlackBerry and are very good.

Personal experince with O2 as a customer was good too.

Never had Orange for BB, but have done for the Nokias and found that they have the best customer service. Orange are also called UMA. Unlicensed MobilE access. This is designed to give you a WiFi coverage in the areas where you've always had poor coverage. Works well enough and people know I like him.

If you go VF you need not what you get good coverage identical to O2.

I would like to avoid from T-Mobile if your outside the M25 regularly and not had much to do with 3.

VF or O2 would be my choice I think.

I am currently on VF moved just of O2, only moved to consolidate contracts within the company.

  • Update 5.0 - network MEP code blackBerry Smartphones

When I'm moving my 9000 "BOLD" to version 5.0, the update works fine, but when I turn on my phone, I got a MEP Code of network.

I downgraded my phone then the 4.86 version once again and it works fine, no network MEP Code. My blackberry wonder only this code when I installed version 5.0. Is there a reason why I can't upgrade my phone?

Another weird thing, my IMEI number has changed to something like xxxxx1234560!

    Strange, isn't it?

I called SFR and they told me to look on the BlackBerry Support Forums (great help SFR)!

    Hope someone could help me.

Hello cebolinha and welcome to the community of BlackBerry Support Forums.

Have you downloaded the software 5.0 from your operator's website or did you get it from another source?

  • Indicator of edge battery blackBerry Smartphones and Bluetooth problems

The Priv is about 5 days old and has new updates are installed en all apps. The carrier is Rogers

When I first turned it on the edge of the battery indicator came and it showed the power level and the percentage of the charge. Who has stopped working and then the "light strip" edge now works after a reboot from last night.

The edge lights and stays on for about 5 seconds and then turns off then that plugged. There was an indicator that identified the percentage of charge and I think that the time to full charge. These details will no longer appear.

Just rebooted it and then reconnected it and edge came to light on, stayed on about 5 seconds, then * beep * down. indicator % etc. came not

Indicative on-board battery is turned on and ambient display is on

Last night when he was in charge and I held it in my hand the edge of the battery light up and then turns off. If the Palm of my hand touched the lower right edge lighting turns off and then it shuts down when I moved my hand. When I placed my hand there once again he started. Connection loose?

Bluetooth. When calls come sometimes in bluetooth works. If I turn my helmet a couple of times it works. Shouting works, but the call is maybe 25%.

The listener a Plantronics traveler edge worked flawlessly with my old Q10 if this is not the headset.

    Hello

The battery charge indicator will disappear if the phone is in a dark place. If you turn on the light in the room or even shine a flashlight on the sensor just below the listener, you will see the battery charge indicator again. It has nothing to do with you keeping the device or not.

It was reported on misconduct... weather Bluetooth that connects to the listener or the car. A software update its in the works earlier this month (June). I can't tell if that delivers its treaties or not since I am not fully aware at the moment, what this update will correct or improve.

But, carrier specific questions should be directed to the carrier... here, we can only give you the credits information... your operator must provide you with all of the specific information required.

  • BlackBerry Bold 9900 not saved the network of Blackberry smartphones

    Hello

I have Blackberry data services with my provider of Meteor, and that they worked with my previous Blackberry 9900. I have unlocked it and I am able to use the SIM for calls and connect to the internet via wifi, but I'm unable to activate Blackberry internet services. Host Routing Tables are empty and I can't save. In addition, in the e-mail settings, I get only the ability to create a company account.

I did a full factory reset and I tried to save the Tables in routing host several times but nothing happens.

Finally, after all that, with a strong network carrier (for example, not only WiFi), I suggest the following steps, in order, even if they seem redundant to what you have already tried (steps 1 and 2, each should result in a message from your BB... Please wait just before moving on to the next step):

I hope that will move things again for you! If this isn't the case, then again please contact your mobile provider for formal support. Please ask him to check very carefully as to why your BB cannot receive BIS of their network. There are several possible reasons (e.g., lost or stolen), and you will have to convince them to 'dig deeper' to understand why. Be aware that only they can do this research... nobody here has any access to this research.

I hope that will move things again for you! If not, then you should try remove and re-add your configurations for the relevant accounts. Otherwise, you should contact your mobile provider for formal support.

For the wireless, there is no sort directly 'reset' nothing beyond removing and reconfiguring of the WiFi network configurations. Beyond that, things as device WIPE, reloading the OS, and other very drastic measures would be required. And, important to note, I have no way of knowing if this is really necessary... you did not no matter what description of what happens, so it is not possible to understand your situation and you give more targeted recommendations.

    Good luck!

  • BlackBerry Smartphones-network error

When I try to open my internet browser, a network error appears, once I close another error with this message appears:

    Java.lang.NullPointerException

I tried a reset by pulling on the battery, always without success and have tried using the desktop software still no luck.  any suggestions or knowledge of what causes this.

Hello and welcome to the community!

There is virtually no diagnosis of those - they are the equivalent of random errors in Windows for which trace the root cause is futile. Basically, here's the last out in the programming code - some event occurred for which there is no event handler in the code. The patch is an update of the code that handles the event... but, again, what is the event is almost impossible. So, there are a few things to try:

Sometimes, the code simply is damaged and needs to be updated - just like a reboot:

    • Each time a random strange behavior or slow creeps, the first thing to do is a battery pop reboot.

If it doesn't boot properly, then you need to try Safe Mode:

    • KB17877 How to start a BlackBerry smartphone in safe mode

There may be a code updated to the value of the carrier - check out them through this Portal:

The toughest possible causes are a bad application behave. To find it, there are two options. Is to see if you can read the log file:

Go to the home screen. Hold down the "alt" key and type "lglg". (You won't see anything as you type). This will bring up the log file. Scroll down (probably a lot of pages) until you see a line that says "eception execption. Click on this line. The application name will be in the info. Alternative methods to implement the newspapers are in this KB:

    • KB05349 How to activate, view, and extract the the event logs on a BlackBerry smartphone

The other method is to remove the apps one at a time, wait a while between the two (I usually recommend a week), until the problem stops... revealing the offending application. Yet another method is to recharge the BB OS itself, leaving little time between the addition of other applications on the BB in order to be able to determine exactly what is the cause.

Good luck and let us know!
