Network WiFi connection is slow

Original title: network programs network networking Internet Web site Site Web Web Site URL

I'm not sure what happens, but don't trust that I have "piggybackers" making use of my WiFi internet got slow.  Last week, I used a public WiFi for the first time.  Looks like others are have to work outside my network.

I clicked on the icon of the internet bar and I saw 3 or 4 other users currently logged on.  Whenever I have uncheck automatically connect to them on what they come immediately disconnect.

I've lost my privacy!

  • Why is my wifi connection much slower than my 3G connection?

    I lot to access web pages when connect you via wifi. I am connected to my wifi network (at least he shows on the Meadow). Simply, it seems to load forever or expires. Sometimes, it will connect (perhaps only 10% of the time). No other problems with the other computers on my network.

    When I'm on 3g it is lightning fast. So for now I just turn off wifi.

    Any suggestions?

    Since the browser if you go to the options by clicking on the Web tab in the top left, then Preferences, you can clear history, Cookies and Cache. Maybe try that.

  • Network wifi connectivity windows 7 homebasic problem

    My wi fi connection last just for some 30 minutes after the system is restarted its work properly and again after unplug some 15-20 minutes. I force knows what happened to computer laptop everything... but in my cell phone only no such problem... so one thing, I am very clear that there is no problem with router and everything... it comes in my lappy please help me.. .with tweaks...

    There is no reason that you shouldn't keep Windows 7.  I simply tell you that the wireless network device to your 4 year old laptop could be at fault.  AND, I've seen a lot of cell phones like that and discovered that a purchase of $20 can solve the problem completely and most often gives a better wireless reception that one actually built anyway.

    There are probably a lot of measures to take in case of a problem, but you can spend days trying to find them in the same place (installation of a wireless USB device) in any case.  The device also offers the advantage of being portable to other computers.

    My "update journal" indicates that this definition has been installed at 05:47 (Saturday 111/21), the same moment where pages failed to load and the small icon of net showed no link. (I had fortunately been web surfing until - filled bars.)

    This is an update "cannot be uninstalled." I did a restore of the system to the previous Thursday, and then to the previous week, without change in condition. . I powered completely off and on again several times, without success.

    There is a note on the update for http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?LinkId=52261 - who takes me to a page with a bunch of stuff on the installation of a BizTalk adapter. (snippet below included) This is way beyond my ability to understand... I DON'T know how to edit the registry, but I don't know what to change, if this ' even common sense.

    The update could have messed with the IP addresses?

    I tried net diagnostics ("no network to connect to"); I tried to add a new network - the 'check' the devices window just sits there...

    (Yes, my other devices connected wireless - works perfectly.) The computer has not been moved from its site)

    (This is a piece of the message I get from the url above)
    "You can use the BizTalk for MSMQ adapter and adapter BizTalk Message Queuing on the same computer. However, given that these two adapters use the same port, you must add an IP address to your computer as BizTalk adapt for MSMQ can use. »

  • WiFi unstable and slow Internet high speed

    Hello world:

    Recently, I am facing a problem of unstable wifi, slow speed of the internet of my macbook pro. I hope someone could help me with my problem.

    Symptom:

    Internet mainly speed just unstable using a wifi connection. (no problem with wifi connection self and my wifi suddenly grave would not be)

    Example:

    • FaceTime with my friends and the connection would suddenly abandon or images & audio gets fuzzy.
    • Videos in online streaming and suddenly occurs buffering.
    • Download file of software update iPhone via iTunes, the speed is slow, he needed to take 2 h at the end and later on a window display "cannot download and check your internet connection".
    • Suddenly cannot open websites like site apple.com, google.com. Sometimes it will take more time to open Web sites.

    Hardware and software:

    MacBook Pro mid-2009, OS X EL Capitan 10.11.5

    ISP: Cox, 50Mbps

    Modem & router: Netgear N450

    Test:

    Turn off my wifi and connect my macbook pro with modem & router with cable, internet high speed is stable and fast. Internet speed download speed test result display is of around 60Mbps, download speed is around 8Mbps. And I tried streaming using the connection cable, there was no buffering.

    I already tried the possible Solutions:

    • Restart the Macbook pro and restart Modem & router: will not work. I mean the internet will be very well at first, but later would be unstable again.
    • Reset Wireless Modem & router and change channels: useful, but not completely solve the problem. After you change the wireless channel, I tested my internet speed and the result showing 20-40Mbps (slower than 60mbps) speed download. Sometimes, the result will be like 6-8Mbps and sometimes it will be 60Mbps. If its unstable.
    • Wireless diagnosis: result indicates connection is good.
    • Called my ISP provider: they checked and said all right.

    Other Questions & details:

    • The internet is ok for most of the time. But when all of a sudden I can't open site or I can't download and streaming & FaceTime at normal speed, his frustration.
    • I thought it might be related to my hardware since its an old macbook pro. I can't run Apple hardware test because I don't have the installation disc more and my macbook pro is very old. Is it a third party software that can perform the test hardware on mac?
    • My wifi used to be very stable and I don't have to worry. Just for these last two weeks.

  • C50D-A-133 satellite detect WIFI connection but cannot connect

    I have a problem with the internet connection from my laptop.
    Earlier this week, I noticed that my internet is very slow.

    Now a few days later I can not connect with my wireless network more.

    Kind regards

    According to your post, you were able to connect the laptop to the router WLan.
    In this case, the WiFi connection has been established correctly.

    I put t think there is a problem with the laptop s Wlan connection. Your WLan router is probably some problems and that is why I recommend to reset the router.

    In addition, you could test the LAN connection.
    In case you have a problem with the connection to the local network, the configuration of the router should be checked.

  • WiFi connects immediately after starting

    Hello community,

    I started having Wifi issues after installation LittleSnitch. It would be irrelevant, but that's when the problem appeared. Although I have already removed, the Wifi connection does not seem to operate normally.

    Before that, it would connect immediately after starting, which means instant access to Chrome or any other browser.

    Now, he continues the search for a few seconds, shows an exclamation point on the wifi icon and then finally connects to my network. This process takes more than 30 seconds.

    I tried several solutions spare, change my location, manual settings, DHCP or DNS, wifi diagnostics, reset my router, but all without success. I still can't get it to connect at the same time.

    Any ideas?

    (El capitan)

    Please read this message before doing anything.

    This procedure is a diagnostic test. It is unlikely to solve your problem. Don't be disappointed when you find that nothing has changed after you complete it.

    The test is intended to determine if the problem is caused by a third-party software that loads automatically at startup or logon, by a device, by a police conflict or corruption of system files or some system caches.

    Disconnect all devices wired except those required to test and remove all the expansion cards from secondary market, as appropriate. Start in safe mode and log on to the account of the problem.

    Note: If FileVault is enabled in OS X 10.9 or an earlier version, or if a firmware password is defined, or if the boot volume is a software RAID, you can not do this. Ask for additional instructions.

    Safe mode is much slower to boot and run as normal, with limited graphics performance, and some things work at all, including an audio output and a Wi - Fi connection on some models. The next normal boot can also be a bit slow.

    The login screen is displayed even if you usually connect automatically. You need your password to log on. If you have forgotten the password, you will have to reset it before you begin.

    Test in safe mode. Same problem?

    After testing, restart as usual (not in safe mode) and make sure you always have the problem. View the results of the test.

  • ConnectionFactory cannot create the WiFi connection

    I tried this code example, and it returns null ConnectionDescriptor when I only have the wifi connection:

    cf = new ConnectionFactory();
    cf.setPreferredTransportTypes(new int[]{
        TransportInfo.TRANSPORT_TCP_WIFI,
        TransportInfo.TRANSPORT_TCP_CELLULAR,
        TransportInfo.TRANSPORT_WAP,
        TransportInfo.TRANSPORT_WAP2,
        TransportInfo.TRANSPORT_MDS,
        TransportInfo.TRANSPORT_BIS_B
    });
    cf.setAttemptsLimit(2);
    cf.setConnectionTimeout(10000);
    ConnectionDescriptor descr = cf.getConnection("http://www.google.com");
    StringBuffer buff = new StringBuffer();
    if(descr == null){
        buff.append("no descriptor");
    }else{
        buff.append(descr.getTransportDescriptor().getTransportType() + ";" + descr.getUrl());
        try {
        descr.getConnection().close();
        } catch (Exception e) {
            System.out.println("===>conn close error:" + e.getMessage() + ";" + e.getClass().getName());
        }
    }

    I tested with the mobile network and it works well and returns the connection descriptor non-zero but when I try with the wifi only and always returns null.

    I tried to access Google.com on the bb browser and it opens.

    However, the connection is slow and it loads for a while before opening google. Is this the reason why I get null handle or its something else?

    Well I solved it.

    It turned out that I had activated the VPN profile to the wifi network. When I disable the code works ok.

    But this raises the question why can't make a connection http via wifi with active VPN profile. I can always open google.com in the browser.

    I'll make a new thread for this question.
