  • Will this work with Sansa Fuze?

I just received an FYI Emerson iC2196 CD Clock Radio with docking station for iPod - as a gift.

I have a Sansa Fuze and this was bought to me because it says no entry to connect iPod and other Mp3 players...

It seems that the "rocket" will link- but I don't want to break anything!

OK - I'm writing this, I went to this Web page:

    http://www.target.com/Emerson-iPod-alarm-clock-radio/DP/B0013AG3DY

I see that it says that it has a line-in for MP3 players - so I guess that means that the dock works only for the iPod - Yes?

Is there a unit similar to this - CD clock (with or without radio) will be also dockable and play the Sansa Fuze.

I'm not very technical on this stuff - so any advice is greatly appreciated.

    Thank you!

    Ellie

NEVER plug a Sansa into an iPod dock connector. They may look alike, but they are wired differently. Chances are good that you will FRY your Sansa. If it says "works with other MP3 players", which means that it works by connecting via the headphone jack of your MP3 player, and not the dock connector.

There is a Timex clock radio that has a dock from Sansa. Search for "sansa clock radio timex" on Amazon or similar sites and you should find it easily enough.

  • Sansa Fuze don't will not load! HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I have had my sansa fuze since last Christmas.

The first time my sansa fuze wouldn't load I came here and someone told me to hang it to the USB port back because he has more power.

So I got this new computer recently and my computer will not recognize it. I tried to uninstall it in my computer, but nothing works for me.

Any ideas on how to solve this problem

    Thanks for the help

First try all ports - and no hubs USB, just connection is direct to the computer.

If there is still no love, go to Settings/Control Panel on the "rocket" and change the USB MSC Mode and see if it charges.

Look in the computer and see which version of Windows Media Player, it is a. (open WMP, click on help and about.)  It must be 10 or 11 to recognize the "rocket" in MTP mode, which is probably what you value. Update Windows Media Player 10 or 11, and you can move on to PSG.

  • Sansa fuze will not update track licenses

I must have the most ghetto sansa fuze there because I had so many problems with mine. I currently have two. I have the new firmware from sandisk sansa updater program.

    First of all:

When I connect my sansa fuze to my PC to update track licenses, add songs, etc. that my computer slows down considerably and all internet access is stopped. I can't sign my account on rhapsody because the internet will not work. And since internet does not work when it is connected, I could not update my licenses and now they are all expired. Help, please!

    Second:

I took the same sansa fuse to another computer. When I plugged on the second computer, I had no problem. However, when I try to update the licenses, the Rhapsody program says that the function is finished. But when I try to listen to music in the "rocket", the "rocket" tells me that track licenses are obsolete. I've updated the entire library and internal and external disks, appears in the pane. I hope this makes some sense. Any help is appreciated.

It's the limitation of the Janus DRM.  You must update the licenses of track on the same PC as they were transferred from.

This isn't a fault with Rhapsody, it's part of the way in which DRM system has been designed.  Format RealAudio RAX of Rhapsody has circumvented this restriction by using the Rhapsody from Sansa e200R.

Regarding the license updates in the last 24 hours, the real servers had issues.  The system is back today!  Yep, I met the same question, a handful of devices update last night.

  • Sansa Fuze - device will not start error 10

I know that it's all over the forums and believe me, after trying the support of Sandisk I scoured the entire internet and put into service each available remedy.

Here's the deal. I have a brand new Sansa Fuze 4 GB. After taking its packaging, I plug it on my desktop (Windows XP, SP2) and I get the message "USB device not recognized". I tried every single USB port, including a self-powered USB hub.

I am the administrator on this computer and I added myself as a "Net localgroup Administrators local service' - whatever the hell that means.

I have installed and reinstalled WMP 11 and the MTP Porting kit. I tried all of the fixes in MSC mode. I tried all the fixes on three separate, all computers running the same operating system - one is a laptop.

I contacted the helpdesk of SanDisk and their corrections were more extensive that I found on the internet, the results have not changed.

So, if someone can help me. I don't understand why this unit is so full of bugs. I don't understand why it will not work right out of the box as announced. It's actually a Christmas gift for a friend, so the clock is ticking. I wanted to have this thing set up before unleashing it on it. I'm sure that some bugs he get up and running should be echoed on his computer!

Brand new? Bring her back. You probably have a lemon. Or have SanDisk replace it. \

Edit: You could also have a bad power cord. But this the heck, replace all the way.

  • WMP11 will hang on the Sansa Fuze is connected

My wife made me the 4 GB Sansa Fuze for Christmas. When I tried to synic it with WMP, WMP crashes. In fact, it crashes every time that the rocket is connected. When it is not connected WMP11 works fine, all my music lists and the game are there but as soon as the rocket is reconginized by Windows, WMP11 closes or crashes right. I can get to the "FLARE" via the Explorer with no problems, it also loads and I can drag-and - drop files to it.

I have Real Player installed v10, but don't use it for music. I uninstalled and reinstalled WMP11, but it does not solve the problem. I found similar positions on WMP11, but they offer no help.

    I am running:

Windows XP Pro SP3 - up to date

    WMP11 - up to date

Sansa Fuze firmware version: 02.02.26A, USB Mode: automatic detection, but the problem is still takes place in PSG & MSC.

Any help is greatly appreciated. If I missed the solution in my research please point me in the right direction.

I'm under WiMP11 build 11.0.5721.5268 on this machine, slightly different, perhaps.  Take a look at this series of posts to Tech Arena.  The posts follow a nested formula, but the nuts and bolts are there if you scroll through them.

Looks like they found a problem with the DRM store.  The common question resembles a WiMP11 crash when a flash drive is plugged.  Let me know if it helps!

In a linked page, it comes to conflicts with the completed Revista codecs, I have not met with CCCP installed.  In fact, CCCP codec package improved performance, as I can see chapter data when a DVD is mounted.  Seized, DVD wouldn't play properly.

  • Sansa fuze will not turn on or charge

My sansa fuze was working fine until one day when he suddenly cut off and since it lights up for about 10 seconds and cut again once

Time of a call to the Technical Support Center of SanDisk. If they can't get you Goin ' again, they can get the replacement to the title of their current 1-year warranty.

Note: SanDisk is in the middle of changing over their customer support to a new system, so it may take a little longer than usual to get your replacement, if necessary.

  • Sansa Fuze does not turn. * Officially solved! See post 7 in thread for answer! *

OK, so I put a video that I made using the Sansa Media Converter. I made the video in one. AVI using SUPER and put the file in SMC. I waited on hidden. I'll be back and conversion was hung and stopped at 74. It wasn't a huge deal. It's happened before. I decided to come back in a bit to see if it continues the conversion. When I came back, my drive was off and the percentage bar had not moved. I removed the player and tried to turn it on. It turned on and "refreshed media." Immediately after, however, it stops immediately. I tried a soft reset (button / waiting for 15-60 seconds) and he came for a few seconds only to stop again. More funny thing is though, it actually stopped by itself. He even went to the screen 'goodbye'. Now it won't even turn. He lights and turn off by itself. Sometimes I can turn on soft reset, only that it is black screen. Even when I plug it to my computer, it will be either turn on, black screen after a few seconds or not at all.

    Player: Sansa Fuze 8 GB

    Computer OS: Windows XP SP2

    Firmware: 1.01.15

Please, I beg you. This will be my second player perfect condition which has out crapped on my Sansa. I had an e2600 who had a hard drive failure after only 8 months. If I have a solution that States "buy a new player", I'm afraid I have to leave Sansa.

Any help will be greatly apprieciated.

Very well. I think I finally found the problem of this. The problem seems to lie in the SCM. It seems very harmful effects if during a conversion process, the computer transfers to virtual memory. An update of the firmware seems to correct this problem. Again, I will never video convert on this computer.

I'll give this time, Sansa. Is not your fault.

  • "Sansa Fuze v2 freezes on ' update your media.

I had this problem since I got it earlier this year.  I tried to solve this problem in many ways.

First I thought it was a problem to do with the tags which many of you have told me, but after having systematically organize every single audio track, remove all comments, artist information, album art, composer and using mp3val error check each audio track the problem still remains.  The only information on each track are kind, year, song title, artist, album name and track number (this I did on Mp3tag and saved ID3v2.3 ISO-8859-1).

The sansa fuze that I is a model of v2 4 GB with a MicroSD of Kingston 16 GB card.   Honestly I am so sick of having to choose who I want to because music the largest number of songs I had on it without it freezing songs s 560 - I would add that most are mp3, some are in flac.  It's less than 6 GB on the 20 GB I have available which is ridiculous because the point all I got a rocket was so that I could increase its capacity without having to buy expensive media players

I have tried updating to the latest firmware but back to 1.02.26 because the problem remains to be 1.02.31.

Good because it will probably be easier to read and make more sense if I just list this information (instead of try to structure some sort of coherence).

D ' other information that may be useful, it's that I have no video, no photos.

-The problem seems to occur after a threshold of the number of songs I have.  For example, when I transfer an album more and it freezes / hangs on the screen "refreshing your media", I have to force it to shut down by pressing the power switch.  Most of you might be thinking that it is again with the offending audio tracks (bad tags etc), however I found that if I remove some albums and try put on the same album, it will be no problem to do.  Only after reaching a certain number (?) of songs that seems to happen.  I'm not going to say as a fact that I'm not 100% sure of that.

-After the screen "refreshing your media" frozen that I have to go back and remove all of the albums, I added which causes the problem.  This might appear as normal except there is no audio data files just an empty folder with the name of the album.

-All titles scanned with mp3val as having 'problems', I removed permanently of the device.

-All the music is transferred in MSC mode - drag and drop

-It never freezes if I transfer audio files to the internal memory.  For example, the album which causes the freeze/hang up can be placed on the internal memory of sansa fuze - no problem

For the love of all things good someone can you please help me solve this problem, I'm sure this can be fixed.

I will update that I can't imagine all the things I've done

    Thank you

  • How to make a backup copy of my Sansa Fuze 2 GB

Hello! Can someone tell me how to make a backup copy of my Sansa Fuze 2 GB. I'm going to replace because the wheel is not working properly and I ask (the agent on the Technical Support) on all my music that I have on my MP3 and they tell me to make a copy, but whenever I downloaded on Windows Media Player, I can listen to, but as soon as I disconnect my MP3, I can't play anymore. Can someone help me please, I don't want to lose all my music. Or as a matter of fact again downloaded (too many site to visit again)

You can manually copy your music from the device to the computer using Windows Explorer, often referred to as 'My Computer' or just 'computer' in different versions of Windows by drag-and-drop, or open the Windows Media Player and "copy of the device" after clicking on the tab sync.

It is also possible to copy works by using an application like Media Monkey too.

Many people confused if the Sansa was initially loaded using never WiMP, many are realizing that the application works in both directions.

Remember, it is important to always have a backup of your music!  It will save you grief!

  • Can the Sandisk Sansa Fuze 4 GB MP3 read podcasts one after the other

For health reasons, I need to take a long walk after each meal.  For many years during my walks that I listened to podcasts on my wonderful old Sandisk sansa, who plays a podcast after the other without action from me until I have stop.  It's perfect here in the North when I walk in 30 below zero weather. I mean that I don't want to open my parka and out the player to move to the next podcast.  If I had to do, they would find me lying in the snow, Frost, like all the rest of those poor Devils who bought the wrong MP3 player.  Anyway, after years of using the plug-in on my old Sansa fuze is pretty much exhausted and the player must be replaced.  I buy a sansa clip, but had to return when I discovered that he has not played podcasts one after the other, automatically. (And it's also too small for my needs).  Before you buy a new 4 GB sansa fuse, so I need to know if this greatest player will play my podcasts consecutively and one after the other.  Your advice would be much appreciated.

    MrHat wrote:

I currently use the Sansa e250 2 GB MP3 Fuze player Walkman.

There is an e250 (2 GB) and a rocket. They are 2 totally different players. The "rocket" (original) replaced the e200 series model.

But if your podcasts are placed in the Podcast folder (or even record Audio books) and then ranked in the same "Album" folder, they must play consecutively without stopping, regardless of the model of reader.

  • Wall charger for Sansa Fuze?

Hello, I hope you do well.

I'm trying to help my father to buy a wall charger for its Sansa Fuze (I gave it to him as a birthday gift, but he doesn't have a computer and needs a wall charger). What type of wall chargers should I watch? I believe that it will take a standard USB charger or a standard mini-USB charger, but I would like to know which of the two. This one or this one , or this one works?

    Thank you

    VIC

It's easy!  Nice find, incidentally.  The first link you provided is a clone of the charger folding-plug Motorola phone, with a standard USB plug which must be plugged into the cable of SanDisk Fuze.

This is the type of desired wee beastie.  Basically, if it has a standard USB plug, it is hard to go wrong, with one exception: If the "rocket" shows "connected" while it is plugged into the wall charger, there is a link with the data pins in the charger (some readers MP3 need this, but the Sansa doesn't).

The other two Chargers shown have what looks like a mini-B, usable for Sansa Clip USB connector.

In addition, avoid Chargers with the connector 30 spare pins which do not expressly assert that this is a cable compatible SanDisk Sansa, there are has many iPod Chargers offering a Connector 30 end pins which resembles that of SanDisk, but they're going to FRY the Sansa.  IPod connections are distinguished by the Sansa ones.

  • The Sansa Fuze is similar to the Sansa e280R?

    This is a broad question.

There are two versions of the e200 series.

The e200 and then the e200R or Rhapsody.

Remember how the e200R series had an interface more clean, which will do the same for the "rocket"?

Haven't bought a rocket, I want to buy something.

Is another question, with Rhapsody To Go, or what I need to add it myself?  Also, if I add Rhapsody to the "rocket", it will give the "rocket" this cleaner interface?

When I say interface more, the version of Rhapsody had smoother transitions between menus and the text was smoother and much more readable.

    Thanks in advance!

The Rhapsody from Sansa (e200R) has some nice features, like the 'balloon' police while rolling through the menus.  The device later, the e200v2, was also the improvement of the police.

The aircraft later, the e200v2, became the Sansa Fuze shortly after.

The latest Sansas, including the e200v2, the "rocket", the music video and the new Clip + are compatible, all the RhapPFS, which means that the Rhapsody feature improvements are incorporated into these devices.  Rhapsody channels appear in the main menu once the device is allowed to use the Rhapsody service.

You also have several options, like adding channels has Rhapsody music track to the library of your device and a procurement function which signals an individual track for purchase later, when the Sansa is signed up to the service.

The Sansa Rhapsody used format RAX of RealNetworks, a unique DRM (license based on the device) system, while the new devices use 160 kbps WMA for tracks.

  • Sansa fuze wont hard reset

I'm trying to do a hard reset on my sansa fuze, but she will not be reset. She didn't after I check the 'Yes' box is asking me to choose a language and the country and then returns to the menu without reboot or reset.

    What do you do?

You do restore factory... settings which is, by default, and the initial configuration for the language, etc. It does not wipe off your content.

If you want to erase all of your added content there and start again: Settings/System Settings/Format.
