  Hi everyone, this is my first post on this site and thanks to etung for your pro forma re; "How to ask a question. I'll try to include all relevant data needed for the resolution.

  I recently bought a computer modern with Windows8.1 (I was already with Win95, Pentium133 more than ten years ago) and more recently still to overcome the virtual machine technology. So I'm kinda new in the current calculation method.

  The problem:

  Properly downloaded VMWare Player 6.0.2 build 1744117 on the host Windows 8.1, 64 bit, build 9600. Running Kaspersky Pure 3.0.

  Drive seems to install/function normally, until I try to create guest VM, (Windows98se in CDrom drive). Then I would get the "OS not found" response.

  

  

  Repeated above steps using my old drive CDrom Win95 system, to eliminate the possibility of defective disc; This question is displayed every time, no change.

  So I can miss some obvious clues, which is quite possible.

  After a few possible cause search on this (10 hrs Google, articles, messages, etc.) reduced to the default (?) setting in the drive to perform "network boot". Startup process has proved to be much too fast for my reflexes, to be sure! That prevented me to access the start menu.

  In the pursuit of this line of inquiry, "delay for starting access" workaround has been used (which helped, but it ultimately failed to solve):

  Web search me headed in the direction of change the file .vmx to create/insert the time required, but which proved a somewhat false trail, as the record seems not to have a .vmx file in the correct syntax/language (I met a vmxf file containing the XML instead, not the required type to activate commands such as bios.bootDelay = "10000"). I put it on the blog/post referring to an earlier version of the reader to 6.0.2. I then played with the VMware virtual machine configuration file, found in the same folder. He had the syntax correct / similar as bios.bootDelay order (I haven't studied what language it is, still). However, he has worked, for what it's worth-

  

  The two commands that I inserted in the virtual machine configuration file reaches VMware line:

  1. a start delay that was long enough for me to choose the start menu; According to the order -

  bios.bootDelay = "10000".

  This will give the 10 000 milliseconds of the user, or ten seconds to choose in the menu

  2. the boot order forced reading of the CDrom, first of all, in particular the "boot network;" according to the order -

  bios.bootOrder = "CDROM".

  These are the LAST fifth and sixth lines of code found in the attached file, respectively.

  I even inserted the above commands in various places in the file, only to get the same result (to eliminate the last command replace possibility; this thought probably shows my skills of some enlightened software poorly).

  I realize that as there may be a problem unsolved with the boot sequence, in that for some reason startup files any are not in the CDrom, removable devices or hard drive, then the boot sequence will resort to the procedure of "network boot". I do not have the skills necessary to investigate the boot sequence or filepaths as used by the player at the moment.

  If I did things correctly, there will be two files attached with this post;

  Configuration of virtual machine VMware file.txt, and

  VMware-vmplayer-1512 (from temp file) .txt

  Please let me know if there is anything that I have left out.

  So my question remains; what the hell is going on?

  I hope there is a solution out there, because this represents a lot of research... at least for a newcomer.

  Welcome to the community,

  I guess that the problem is not related to VMware Player, and/or configuration, but more for the installation of Windows CD / ISO, which is perhaps not bootable and requires the floppy to boot (images) for the installation of the OS.

• Problem Scrollpad and keyboard for T61

  Hi all

  I recently tried to upgrade my ThinkPad T61 scrollpad driver (my scrollpad is the ThinkPad UltraNav pointing device) because the new Mozilla 4 was not to let me use the RPO aside the scrollpad to scroll to the top and bottom. Now it works, but unfortunately, I have a worse problem - if I hold one of the keys on the keyboard, I can't move the cursor-it is just stuck in place. I also can't do a restore of the system for a reason, and I have tried many of the previous restore points, nothing helps. Another weird thing is that I don't seem to have this problem for the first minute or when the computer starts up and I first see the desktop icons, but programs of load upward, the mouse/keyboard does not at the same time as I've written before.

  Any suggestions?

• Go back to the previous version using the trial version?

  I am currently using a trial version of After Effects and Media Encoder.  I plan buy soon, but I want to make irrevocable course that I can do it before I commit.  I read that it is possible to return to a different version of the CC using the creative cloud application.  I followed the steps using the filter > Previous Versions.  But only Edge animate and Gaming SDK are available for download in the previous versions.  Anything else is not.

  My question is, if I choose to purchase a subscription, will this feature opens?  Is it all just because I'm on a trial?

  Is someone struggling to connect to the Internet with Safari. I have an iPad 2 Air and safari often hangs then returns a server not found response. The only cure (although painful) is in power and on the iPad. Welcomes all possible remedies

  Try resetting Safari. Close Safari completely from the window of the selector app by double clicking the Home button and slide up the preview pane of Safari until it disappears from the display. Then go to settings > Safari > clear the history and data from the Web site. Then perform a forced reboot. Hold down the home and Sleep/Wake buttons simultaneously for about 15-20 seconds , until the Apple logo appears.

  If this does not help, try disabling the Suggestions of Safari. Settings > Safari > Suggestions of Safari to off (not green).

• Add ons does not open

  Have problems with flash sites, after having followed the complete uninstall and remove instructions for flash, reboot the computer and re-setup, problems were still there, then tried to uninstall the realplayer plugin and noticed modules did not open. It opens in SafeMode however, managed to uninstall the plugin rp, but problems remain. Re-installed firefox, has not helped either.

  Nevermind, found the culprit: Tab Mix more! All is well again!

• [SOLVED] Satellite L300 wireless dead, suddenly stop, then won't power ON

  Well, actually, that this post is NOT a question that I already found the solution, but it took me much time searching through forums (and in fact I had not found response), so I decided to post it here to help someone in the same situation later.

  Ok.. I'm all new Satellite L300 laptop a week ago, which runs under WinXP SP2. First five days, everything was OK, but then I confronted the following symptoms:

  -Material Wi - fi could disappear suddenly. After the restart, winXP found the map of wireless as a new device, but could not accept pilots (who has worked on OK again a few hours before).
  -Notebook could stop 'tough' at any time and it is not in the CPU load. After that I could not turn on again than by pressing the power button only turned on CPU cooler. I had to wait for at least 30 min power turn on the laptop again.

  So, I started to search the forums, and as a result, I was sure the reason was overheating of the CPU to 115.337%. It was strange for me that I could not find similar reports for satellite L300 on the web and even all dust cpu overheating reports for other models Toshiba II found - they all have been written on popular laptops, but I got mine just a week ago.

  Since I didn't bring my laptop to the local service center and leave it there for a long time - I decided to locate the problem myself as much as I can and I finally found the reason:

  * He was one of the two Samsung modules of 1 GB of RAM installed in notebook.*

  As I removed a suspect (2nd) - all symptoms have disappeared. As I removed another installed back suspicious as 1st - I even haven't been able to turn on the laptop. So, I deleted completely suspicious module and now I had no problem with laptop computers running more than 2 days (except the performance decreased due to the loss of memory of 50%).

  Hope this is helpful to someone who has a similar problem whose symptoms may resemble the overheating of the CPU.

  My computer is a Qosmio X 770 - 13F.

  I am disappointed because it runs very slowly (I have the 'windows 7 explore bar green problem'...)
  I expanded the 8 GB RAM: no change to the actual speed.

  In this computer, there is only one hard drive (750 GB, 5400 RPM).
  The evaluation of access disk hard windows is only 5.9!

  There is an empty place next to the hard drive, so I wonder if it is possible or not to add a second internal hard drive or even an SSD.

  I searched for this user manual: no answer!
  And on the web, I have also not found response.

  In General, it is not easy to discuss the performance of the laptop. All of us use notebook with a specific setup and preinstalled applications that can run in the background and slowing down the reaction of notebooks.

  All I can say is that you must check the OS configuration and disable some unnecessary applications to start with Windows. Also disable the Windows automatic update installation. This can also slow down cell phone operations.

• 47l7453dg TV subtitles do not work

  can anyone help with subtitles on TV 47L7453DG? What should be the format? I have the latest firmware installed recently bought TV 3 weeks ago, tested as well on the previous firmware and so far no luck, subtitles do not work.
  I tested on USB, several movies with srt, txt (TM player), txt (micro DVD) - the two ANSI and UTF8, subtitles with exactly the same name as the film (except extension of course) in the same folder, you press the subtitles with no effect. Given that the software should be responsible for the management of subtitles I hope material service won't be necessary.

  What I am doing wrong?

  I would say 'found response' not 'problem solved '. This seems to be a * joke, TV for a lot of money and does not support subtitles for the most popular format - mp4. And of course there must be a reason because I can not find this as one matter for other TVs I managed. Maybe someone from Toshiba will enlighten me, especially why:

  1. There is no word on the subtitle format, and no word that mp4 subtitles are not supported in the manual of the TV?
  2. What is the technical difference/difficulty to support mp4 subtitles as for other film formats?
  3. What is the technical difficulty in support of subtitles via DLNA that Toshiba is not? (in streaming might deploy subtitles in the movie directly from the computer, so it is not supported by Toshiba, subtitles only directly on USB)
  4. the above has something to do with the TV sale to users to look at what you want to watch and limiting, for them, the other features?

  I know where I am, it is toshiba forum, please delete this thread if you want, I'll open up further discussions on public forums of television, hope you sell a lot less TV by clearly and honestly tell people on your functions.

  Try this procedure:

  Disconnect the PC and open it. Clean all the dust. Carefully, remove and replace all the cables towards the mother board one at a time. Do the same for memory DIMM and the video and the sound of cards if you have a.  You can buy a can of compressed air to blow the dust out of the heatsink from the CPU.  Plug your PC back in and give it a go.  Make sure that all the fans Act in your PC.

  If your PC is stable in safe mode after running it for a while, then you probably have a software driver problem.

  If your PC is not stable in safe mode, then the question could be a software or hardware.

  Boot into the bios and run a comprehensive set of hardware diagnostics several times until you are satisfied that you are satisfied with the results.

  View your results.

  Where can I find the news of grade package and the speed of the FPGA inside of the PXI-7842R? I ask because I want to build a project XPS in the Xilinx XPS and program needs this info.

  I followed the example in the "how to use designs based on Xilinx Microblaze with NI LabVIEW FPGA 2009 and the R-series modules". There, he gives the info for the specific FPGA (PXI-7852R and PXI-7953R) they use. It's a Virtex5, ff676, xc5vlx50, level-1 speed, but the authors do not mention where one can find this info.

• Change the value of the array element without using the keyboard

  I have a control array on my front, say 1 d, 10 items.

  In addition, the front panel should be used with a touch screen, so I have a Subvi keyboard that should be called when I choose one of the elements of the array.  Therefore, no keyboard entry is allowed.

  My question is, how can I determine which element that the user hit/clicked?... .and how to change this value?

  Gents nevermind, found a way to emphasise that if this is the best way, but I got it.

  In my structure of the event, I have an event looking for the mouse event down in regards to the control array.  This event triggers my screen touch keyboard Subvi to fire, and the closure of the Subvi I pass its value to the ArrElem.Value property to assign the table a hit/clicked item.  Works.
