  • How can I install my printer model Dell 720 on my new Dell XPS 8500 with windows 7

I have the software for my Dell 720 printer, but it will not install on my new Dell XPS 8500 with windows 7.  It works fine on my Dell Dimension 3000 with windows XP.  I would use this printer with my new system

Dell is not a Windows 7 driver for this printer.  The closest thing they have is a driver for Vista 32 bit.  So your options are to (1) Download 32-bit Vista driver and try to install in compatibility mode, (2) use XP Mode if you have the professional or Enterprise version of Windows 7 Ultimate, (3) buy another printer.

You can download the Vista 32-bit driver

  • News from MSN crashes with Windows 10

I upgraded to 10 Windows and crash of new applications and money preloaded occasionally when I click on an article to read.  I'm back to the start screen and I lost my place in the application.  It has been suggested that I run sfc and who says just, he cannot fix some files.  I have a 7 Stream with an added 32 GB sd card so I could upgrade.  Any suggestions?

I was able to do a clean install after getting an OTG cable, a USB hub and a USB flash drive.  I used the media creation tool to create the USB key directly after wasting time trying to use Rufus and the file ISO (wouldn't boot).  Then the installation program wouldn't work because my drive was BitLocker top.  The instructions I found for BitLocker only affect Windows 10.  You need to use the Format C drive for process line.  Then I need all drivers of HP and could not download in portrait mode, had to use landscape (burned an hour as understanding).  News and money now work all the time.

Reinstall Office and all my apps and settings is an incredible time burner.  How I wish the upgrade worked.  My $80 stream 7 now have $ 200 in the work invested in it.

  • Unable to format my new drive sata hard with windows.

I bought a new (raw) sata Western Digital 2 TB Caviar Green to use as a second hard drive in my system.  I installed it fine and BIOS and windows recognizes it.  I assigned a drive letter with disk management and made the active partition.  In disk management, it shows: Disk 0 basic 1863.02 GB Online - (m :)) healthy (primary, Active Partition BRUTE))

The last thing I have to do to make this drive work is format.  What windows seems unable to do.  If I try to do a quick format within two minutes, I get the message "Windows was unable to complete the format".  And when I tried to do the complete method it seemed to do very well, after about 90 minutes, it was made, to halfway and then six hours later the bar had not progressed at all.  Which forced me to restart my computer I could do something for her again.  Before restarting, he kept saying that I didn't have permissions to do something for the reader.

Normally I think it was a bad drive, but about six months ago, I bought seagate 1.5 TB internal a drive and exactly the thing happened, I ended up sending this rear disc.  Now I start to worry, it's something else.

I am running Windows Vista Home Premium x 64 with service pack 2, I have protection anti-virus and Windows updates to current day without any problem.  5 GB of ram, AMD image treatment.

  • New desktop using Aspire with Windows 10

I bought my desktop computer to replace an older XP.  I couldn't load the latest version of the MS Office software on it, and needed to migrate to that, if I could help my spouse who IS using it.  I have a laptop running Windows 7, which I became quite familiar with over the last few years, but I'm much more comfortable with XP.  (I miss some of the things that we used to be able to do with the BACK!)

Because here, I have a few comments and general issues.  First comment is that I've always been annoyed when I want to use a computer, turn it on, and many upgrades are to be downloaded and installed before I can get to what I want to do.  From there, I will NOT have anything in my computer that I don't need.

Issue of one to come: why should I keep Acer portal, Photo AB, AB files, Docs Media AB, AB or the Acer of Cloud version?  I have all the Windows Office software and am familiar with it.  It also works on the machine of my wife and my laptop, that are not Acer brand.  (These programs all came loaded when I bought this desktop computer.)

2nd question, I hope someone can answer: once an update is downloaded and installed, is it necessary to keep the file downloaded to the hard drive?  When cleaning my former office, in addition to the hundreds of files that I wanted to transfer, there were at least that much downloaded the updates of anti-virus software and Microsoft.  They certainly to connect a hard drive!

    Thank you

    (1) not necessary if you do not use Acer cloud services. If you can uninstall it without harming your PC.

key of the Windows logo + x

    programs and features

Select the software you want to uninstall and click on uninstall

    (2) you can do a disk clean from time to time:

    key Windows logo + s

    type

    Clean the disc

    Click on the first result

then click on clean up system files

wait until it ends to scan and check the box on the list that you want to clean; you will find windows updates too.

    (3) personal suggestion, if you have installed McAfee, uninstall it and just use the built-in windows antivirus firewall; going bad less than McAfee system performance.

to uninstall, use this official tool from McAfee:

When Windows 7 stops without warning I have to restart even if the protection of the system is checked for an automatic restart.

When I reboot I get the black screen asking if I want to start in safe mode, because Windows was not shut down properly.  I usually start it in normal mode and it works very well.

My new computer came loaded with Windows 8.  (no previous program it)  I HATE Windows 8.  Can I get Windows Vista from my laptop and move it to this computer?

    Hello

If Vista is preinstalled on your laptop (HP, Acer, etc.) it is an OEM license and is linked to your laptop and is not transferable.

If you have purchased a retail License vista yourself you can transfer as long as uninstall you Vista on your laptop.

If you do not have a license make detail view you that your new computer manufacturer supply Vista drivers for this otherwise that you're wasting your time trying to boot Vista on it.
