New device blackBerry OS Smartphones

I read that people had problems with the new Blackberry Device Software so I never upgraded to 1656 Bundle.  If the problems have been resolved?  Is it a good idea to switch to this new software?

It doesn't have to move to 5.0.0.1082 several months ago as it has been around on a 4-6 weeks. You are probably referring to 5.0.01015.

Here is a link to the instructions simple et.1082 in the downloadable file

  • BlackBerry Smartphones, replacing it with a new device

My phone does not work very well, so my provider will trade it for me.  I need to save my info.  I downloaded the desktop software and my info/files downloaded, but it asked me to set the new device immediately to complete the data transfer.  I can't do that because they will be negotiated there in the store, so I never have two phones at the same time.

Is it possible to connect the new phone at a later time and get office to download the information on the device?

    Thank you.

  • BlackBerry Smartphones transfer contact list complete new device

Tried to do to AT & T store but who just duplicated 425 contacts I have all ready.  After I manually removed all duplicates... Tried again without success.  ???

  • Smartphones from blackBerry App World not generating no new license to the new device Code

I want to move my old 8900 MyCast Weather on my new 9550 but App World will not produce a new license code and continues to fed the former.  I followed the procedure below has been proposed by Garmin several times and installed, reinstalled, deleted, battery pulls and everything I can think of and nothing works.    Sure would appreciate any suggestions.

The user goes to a new BlackBerry:

If the user tries to download App World for the new device and newspapers by virtue
their PayPal account, you can reinstall each element individually.
Once installed, the status changes to "installed".  If the user had
free trial / elements on the previous device, they have to redownload them
    Once again.

If the status of an item appears as "Not available for this device", the
point is not compatible with this model of BlackBerry.  If it turns
available for this device later, the status changes to "uninstalled".
and it can then be put back.

The license key will be different for the new device because the PIN on
the device is different.  The new key is located in the App World of
choose My-Cast Weather since My World tab.

Got a new Garmin code that has worked.   Really appreciate the good service from them.   Hopefully RIM will correct the problem with AppWorld soon.   Thanks again for the help.

  • Switching devices blackBerry Smartphones using the Desktop Manager

I just got my Torch 9800 replacement since my first only the battery was drainning (apparently a common problem).

Until I returned my old Torch 9800 I backed up and also used the device switch option in Desktop Manager. When it asked me to connect the new device, I unplugged the old camera, he took to the shop orange and then plugged my new camera.

Then an error has occurred and asked me to update the software on the new device. I did it... and then when I use switching devices, it asks me to connect the current device but the problem is... I don't have the camera more.

As I backed up all the data, I did a restore. He restored most of the data, but it has not restored my apps.

Any idea on how I can do?

I hope it is interesting all that.... and I get a better battery life this time!

Hi and welcome to the Forums!

Ah... never mind. While the device switch Wizard can indeed move a few apps, the backup/restore process does not have applications. So, in the State you are in, you must go to the source of your applications and re - get them. If you by AppWorld, the process is very smooth:

    • KB17625 How to install or transfer has already purchased apps from BlackBerry App World for BlackBerry smartphone

If you have from other sources, then you should see if these sources are a simple way for you. I hope you have good record of all your activation keys... and some will indeed have to be regenerated some developers to attach the key on the BB SPINDLE, which is now different since you have a new device.

    Good luck!

  • BlackBerry BlackBerry classic classic has not survived a plunge, how to put the backup on a new device.

Like I said in the title of the topic, my classic BlackBerry did not survive a swim in the toilet. I did all the stuff found on the internet such as put in a sealed air box full of rice for 48 hours, but he simply no longer lights.

So fortunately I seem to have a backup file .bbb on my desktop since 12/18/2015.

    1. is there a way to restore the data in a usable format (just the file .png etc)?

    2. is there a way to restore the data on a new classic of BlackBerry? I guess I can do that by choosing switching in BlackBerry link devices, connect the device again and put the old backup on that? I probably should update the new device to the latest version of BB10 before you transfer.

In native mode. Design of the BBB file intent should be used as source for restore to another device of BB. No other function is natively. But there are several 3rd party PC utilities that can extract the data and make it into a format usable otherwise. Never need such a utility, I have no recommendation... but a few seconds on your favorite Internet search engine should reveal many options from which you can choose (and many of them I believe are free).

This is the intention of the exact design of the BBB... file to use as the source for restore to another device of BB. Reference:

  • List of Smartphones two same devices blackBerry Contacts

Hello, am writing from Nigeria. I had a Curve 9300 device then I changed to a Bold 9790 and I gave the curve to someone but am having problems with the BBM. We seem to have the same contacts and when I change my display picture it appears on the other phone. I received an email from RIM that my email was arrested on the other phone, but why is it always the case.
Please anyone with any clue as to how I can solve this problem should help me. Thank you.

    Hello

I know not why/how this could happen, but maybe it's that the two devices/BBM are related to the same Blackberry ID? I think that the newer versions of BBM surveys use the Blackberry ID to lists of contacts backup and settings etc.

The other person wipe the old unit when they began to use it? Otherwise, it can be useful to ask them to do and then set up the device with a new ID Blackberry...

  • Flight of blackBerry 8330 Smartphones, Desktop does not synchronize with the new phone

A kind person recently broke my window of the car and took my 8330.

I regularly synced my old phone using Desktop Manager.

Switch device Wizard wants my old 8330 connected to synchronize new 8330.

Of course, I don't have the old 8330.

I don't know that I'm missing something here.

Can anyone offer assistance?  Please, I beg you!  I'm dying here.

    Thank you!

    So good news.

Connect your current device to the USB > PC.

    Open Desktop Manager > backup/restore > advanced.

You should see the IPD backup on the left pane information and the information of the current device in the right pane.

If the left pane does not, above this window, choose file > Open and navigate to this known IPD file. Load it.

Now, you can choose one by one or all THE items in the list to transfer to the new device. Highlight each database you moved to the new device and click the right arrow environment to move these data.

Follow the prompts which if ensuits and you'll be good.

  • How can I develop a new device drivers for BB devices

For example, I want to use a SD card on my BB or a special USB device connect to my BB. I want to use some special features on them but can't find an API for them.

So my question is how can I change or add drivers for them?

I have to RIM on contracts? If so, how? and who would be able to help me with that?

    Thank you!

I'm not aware of any API that will allow access to any feature of the SD card that would allow you to use this interface to connect to a device.  Given the nature of the sandbox of the BlackBerry, get access to a low level interface without using an API would be difficult, if not impossible, I had.

I was involved with a manufacturer who tried to make a USB device. I understand that the BlackBerry cannot act as a slave in this relationship and is expected to be charged if there is a USB connection, so I think that it is a hard connection.  In any case, the manufacturer I was working with, could not get their kit works properly.

If you want to add support for a new device, Bluetooth seems the best option for me.

  • BlackBerry 7100t Smartphone

I don't have the software to transfer my address book from 7100t on my PC and need to do before moving on to the Strom.  Any suggestions?

    Download Desktop Manager here:

    https://www.BlackBerry.com/downloads/entry.do?code=A8BAA56554F96369AB93E4F3BB068C22

Do a complete file, in the first place.

When you get the new device (AND if you still have the old appliance), the wizard of device switch for best results, transfer all THE data, settings, contacts, calendar, etc.

Alternatively, you can use Desktop Manager > restore / advanced to only restore these data (address book) you want from the backup of the 7100.
