• I had to reinstall Vista and now my display driver and the microphone does not work.

  I recently had to reinstall Windows Vista on my PC.  Now my audio works perfectly, but my microphone will not even if the Control Panel recognizes it is connected and working properly.  Also, my display driver stopped responding from time to time and crashes my computer.  Geek Squad, I need new drivers, and they want me to pay 130 to install.  I'd rather do it myself.  I tried to install the driver for my card NVIDIA and Vista, but that did not help.

  Hi, I hope I'm in the right forum! I have a laptop Aspire with Photoshop CS5 extended. The computer's hard drive crashed and so I had to get another hard drive! Obviously as the hard drive crashed, I was unable to disable CS5 extended before the crash. I have it charging on the new hard drive and in the meantime bought a desktop computer in which I loaded CS5. Updates have been working fine on the laptop. I tried to update the program on the new computer, but continue to receive error messages. I have read in any problems and think maybe computer laptop harddrive that crashed had CS5 yet on it, as I was unable to turn it off because I didn't know he was going to crash. I am only able to load CS5 on 2 computers and if it is still on the destroyed hard drive so I'm not able to turn it off and so I presume that is why I can not download the updates on my new computer.   When I turn on the notebook Windows XP starts up and everything is loaded. But after 5 or 10 minutes, the response is very slow. If I click on any window and try to open any folder, or open internet explore it takes about 1 or 2 minutes to respond. I tried several ways to scan disk and Defrag, but still that are of no use. I also tried 'Difficulty automatically File System Errors' and ' will search for and attempt recovery of bad sectors ", but this problem is still there. Even when I stop it takes too long to stop about 15 to 20 minutes.

  When I turn on again NEXT DAY Windows XP starts and everything loads quickly. After 5 or 10 minutes, the response is very slow. This problem occurs for a few days.

  I then used "IBM Rescue and Restore" to load fresh operating system. Still the problem does not get fixed.

  Can you get it someone please let me know if this is problem of hard disk or something else. I'm guessing it's related to the hard drive.

  Contact the manufacturer of your computer, IBM and ask them to send a recovery disk/s XP set.

  Normally, they do this for a cost of $ small.

  Buy a new hard drive > Reinstall.

  A few moments ago, I started getting a message that my hard drive was not so I purachased a new hard drive and also decided to upgrade the ram. When reinstall drive serves screen says its loading files, then after the progress bar fillsthe computer screen is empty, the hp logo comes on the screen, while she just repeats what was just described.   I know this may sound weird, but at the time of Win7, I would have problems installation or upgrade of PC, if there is too much memory system.  So, what I would say, it's to put the old memory and see if that makes a difference.  I know it shouldn't, but it could.
