OK, so here's what I have improved.  I got a new motherboard ASUS P6X58D Premium LGA 1366, Intel Core i7 - 920 Bloomfield 2.66 GHz LGA 1366 CPU, OCZ Gold RAM 6 GB (3 x 2 GB) 240 - Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1600.

My OS (Vista 64 Ultimate) was already on my hard drive from my old system, I just moved it into the new system.  I went on cases and power too, but I don't know if it's relevant.  Basically the only things from my old system that were recovered were my 2 ATI 4850HD vid cards and my hard drives.  Everything else is new.  I loaded all drivers of my motherboard, it was a bit of a PITA, but I did.  I was getting A LOT of BSODS in the beginning, but after that I loaded everything and did a registry clean it "seemed" he ran smooth.  It's always the same or similar message, the figures could change a bit, but it's the same fundamental mistake.  Any help is VERY appreciated.

Jeremy

    Any help will be appreciated.

I don't really know what the problem is here, but it will be interesting to know what exactly happens when you connect a wireless mouse. Is there a HARD drive activity or even error message?

Can you please check the Device Manager and hardware all listed there? Is this all is well?

Hello, sorry for my English, I am from the Germany.

My notebook Satellite L500-19 is defect.

  • Satellite L500-1XL - new hardware upgrades

    Hi all
I have the Toshiba Satellite L500-1XL and recently bought a new 500 GB internal HD and the upgrade went well. However, the internal transfer speeds aren't that fast. He is often out on 18mps level. Why? Affects of that? Use of the RAM, the use of the disk, the free storage space? The HD came with the laptop was 5400 with 8 MB, but my new is 7200 RPM with 16 MB with 11 seconds of access time. If that should not be much faster?

Also, how can we get the support of USB 3.0? Only through new hardware? I know it goes into Windows 8 as this means there could be a few Windows 7 supports or who is still dependent on material?

What are the most effective upgrade options to make my laptop run faster? He was modest. When I got it, but now use it for any need so get. Thus, upgrading to HD 160 GB to 500 GB (5400-7200), but it's unique processor with only 2 GB of RAM. I noticed on the Toshiba page so it says on a 64 bit system with 4 GB of RAM, the chart may use up to 1 800 MB of RAM upgrade RAM (not expensive) and then the processor? Even a single dual core would do the job? No need for a costly i3 and perhaps not compatible with the motherboard.

    Thank you!

    Hey Buddy,

And what was your old HDD? HARD disk speed depends on different factors. You copy a large number of small files and a large single file?
It s also useful to defragment the HARD drive from time to time. This can improve the speed. Also keep the system clean and use a registry cleaner like CCleaner that cleans up your registry.

USB3.0 is a different interface. This new operating system wouldn t help you because it s material new feature/upgrade.

Other improvements regarding: CPU and graphics card is not supported as you can read here:
    http://APS2.toshiba-tro.de/KB0/FAQ35006D000RR01.htm

Your laptop has Intel GL40 chipset and the maximum RAM capacity is 4 GB. So you can install 2 GB DDR2-667 module in each memory location.

  • Found New Hardware Wizard initiate at startup with no new hardware installed

    Hi Xircal,

    Thanks for your interest.

The Malwarebytes we were a beta with a lot of precautions.

I ran the Sophos base scan on C:.
Nothing that you marked for deletion.
Just hundreds of hidden files, mostly in the Recovery Console XP (minint), the RRBackups, the preboot\helps, the two Norton .dat files: cltLMS1.dat & cltLMS2.dat

    Description: Unknown hidden file
Removable: Yes (but clean not recommended for this file)

Norton said: «these files are components licenses of Norton.» Legitimate files of Norton. (They are not paid for spelling)

I could run a scan in depth tonight if you think necessary.
I have a bunch of drives on this computer, but c is the one who starts.
In fact, I have a separate drive that I use to download software executables, drivers, etc..

    Hi Peggy,

Does not sound like there is nothing to worry about here.

The 'new hardware found' is still running at startup?

Also, could you possibly get in touch with Norton and ask them if ROOT\LEGACY_BEEP\XX_NPF_XX in Device Manager has nothing to do with the Norton Personal Firewall? It could be something as simple as that.

I think you're right. I don't see anything unusual but one long-standing issue date with Norton Security turned off randomly on startup (I does not start unless I'm free to control and turn it on if it is off)

I contacted Norton on that months ago and they were not able to solve it, but strongly advised I have remove a bunch of utility programs that they don't like. Split us up on this suggestion. I have uninstall Super Anti-Spyware, and you know the rest of this story. But I think Secunia PSI, Winpatrol, AutoCAD, etc. as essential to my well-being computer.

I think I'll let the dog Norton are.

The 'new hardware found' has NOT yet run at startup. Thank you very much.

Assume that you have done at least what I asked you to do. I'll miss our daily interactions, but you'd better take your white hat to someone who needs your expertise more than me.

  • Found new hardware unknown wizard

I have a Windows XP Media Center Edition computer. A few days ago, he jumped to the top of the box, "Welcome to the new hardware detected" whenever I turn on my computer. I don't know why and I think that he doesn't even know why, because he said, "this wizard helps you install software for: unknown." When I try to install the software automatically (recommended) it continues to show that it is looking for unknown. I have not plugged my hard drive backup from another computer, which usually makes it to do. I tried to do a restore of the system at the beginning of the week (today is 10/01/13) and it still does not work. Then I did a system restore to last Thursday and it still does not work. Why my computer do that?

    Hello

Yes, now you must contact HP support.

  • During the installation of a wireless mouse, the 'New Hardware Wizard' appears unnecessarily!

During the installation of a wireless mouse, the "New Hardware Wizard" pops up, and more than a half a dozen times looking for the pilot.  I installed the driver from the disk provided by the manufacturer.  Actually, the mouse works correctly and doesn't have another driver not found.  Someone has suggestions for the "new hardware found" stop?

  • Found New Hardware Wizard will not let me install things.

    Hello.
I have Windows XP and every time I try to plug something for the 1st time, such as a USB, a window that reads the found new hardware wizard appears. He asks me if windows update can search for new software. It gives me so "Yes, always", "Yes just for this" or "no, not this time". No matter that we I press, another window appears which says ' if it came with an installation cd put in now "then gives me the options either"install the software automatically or manually." When I press the other, she begins searching and, after a minute or two, a window appears saying that the software had failed the compatibility test, even when I got from devices that say they are compatible with windows xp. Then it gives me the option to stop or to continue. No matter what I press, the Hardware Wizard says there is an error and closes. Subsequently, it will not recognize the USB and I have to uninstall it.  This also occurs when you try to install things like itunes.
Someone help me please. I have not tried it on other computers because I have no one else at my disposal. I tried to contact the company USB but I was told that it's a computer, not a jumpdrive, question.

    Thank you for your help.

Although the system recognizes the material into the machine, when you are looking for auto install it asks me for the service pack 3 cd, which I did not.
