New laptop with SSD
I have a 17 HP laptop Pavilion - ab051sa 17.3 "computer that has storage news: 1 TB HDD & 128 GB SSD. This is the first laptop I've had with an SSD. My question is (I apologize in advance if this is a stupid question!) the disc SSD has a particular use? I mean make programs stored on it, or is it just for any data?
You can set programs to 'install' on the hard drive but will go only part of it: you can't help but to install large parts of the program on the system drive so you might as well just that they install on the C: drive. Keep the SSD less 90% full is all I can say and the 128 gig C: drive will limit what software you have on the laptop, but you have a lot of space.

Can I order my new laptop with no garbage software?
When I ordered a DV6500 laptop a few years and it was stuffed with all that extra garbage software. The laptop went very wrong. I went out and bought Vista Ultimate, amazed the disk and loaded on my copy of Vista. It's amazing to see how much better my laptop ran. I have never had a problem with it as I did.
Now, I am looking to buy a laptop Hp DV5Z. With Vista HP always charge on all this garbage software? If so, how many concerts will they face now? Any way to order this new laptop with Vista right on this garbage software only?
A program called PC Decrapifier will get rid of any preinstalled software.

I have a new laptop with windows 7 when I get on facebook games action lages and do not move smoothly is something I need to download or change the settings to make it work smoothly, it does only with games
burningbush,
It can also be a problem with the game running through Facebook server. I noticed a difference in great step lately with Farmville on Facebook compared to when I started playing. You should check to see if it seems to be the same on the other PC. I noticed the problem on several machines in different places, so I know that it was not limited to a PC.

I bought a new laptop with Windows 7 installed. Whenever I restart it, it has installed updates which can take up to an hour or freezes. You can ignore the automatic updates of Windows 7?
You can turn off the automatic updates, Yes, but doing so would leave your computer at risk. Simply put with him: after another reboot or two, you will be fully patched AND fix!

Configuration Linksys WPSM54G on new laptop with Win7
Using a Linksys WPSM54G. Working on my old WinXP, bought a new laptop with Win7. Tried to set up as a TCPIP will still not connect. Have seen a lot of posts on this issue, but can't get it on my pc.
After reading the endless forums on this topic and try LPR printing as proposed (without success), I finally found a simple solution to get the WPSM54G print server work on Windows 7 (64 bit in my case version). Simply download the latest driver for the Lnksys site. Once you have unzipped the download, right-click on Wizard.exe, select Properties, click the result, then check the compatibility mode box and select Windows Vista (Service Pack 2). When you run the Configuration Wizard and click on Computer Configuration, instead of the boring message "OS not supported", the driver installation ends normally and you can start printing.

I have a laptop with Windows 7 Professional older and want to keep my programs and files intact and transfer to a new laptop, with Windows 7 Home, pre-installed.
First try the image restore option. If that does not work, use your professional Windows 7 disc and boot from it, delete all partitions, then attempt to restore image.
Don't forget: save your Home Premium installation before doing any of this.

I am trying to transfer my files to my new laptop with Windows 7 for my old laptop with Windows XP Professional, using the Windows Easy Transfer, that I found on my old laptop. I tried to make the transfer through my home wireless network and when that did not work... I connected the two laptops with a cable (the same style of cable, used to connect his computer to a modem or router, not a cable SSB).
So in summary, I just want to transfer all my files from my old laptop to my new laptop. I copied the master file of my data from my old laptop on a "stick" assuming that I could download just to stick to the new laptop. (I have a lot of "sticks" here.) The idea did not work, of course, results otherwise wouldn't ask this question now.
If you had previously copied simply data (documents folders) via a key files should be no problem during the copying of that stick to the library on win7 locations, and is there's this which is exactly the err MSG?

I can't install my quickbooks 2010 on my new laptop with Windows 8
Original title: Installation of quickbooks 2010 on Windows 8
Help! I can't install my quickbooks 2010 on my new laptop with Windows 8. Does anyone know the tricks?
It is a wrong answer to the question. QuickBooks 2010 cannot be installed from the CD because the CD tries to install Flash and Flash is already built into Windows 8. The solution is to download QuickBooks from Intuit web site and install the downloaded version. It installs without problem and works very well. Here is the link for reference: http://support.quickbooks.intuit.com/support/Articles/INF12417

Hi Tanuj,
There is no place to change fonts.
You must go to the LR Edit (or Lightroom on Mac) menu > Preferences > Interface > choose 'Options' in the menu 'panels '. There should be a setting for the font size of Interface. You will need to close and restart LR for the font change are taken into account.
