New motherboard. How to make a recovery?

Shop replaced a mobo has failed, in a PresarioSR2159NX, with a with a ZOTAC.  Have Vista Home Basic.  Do not have the recovery disks, but have a "D" recovery disk intact.  I'm a fool to the computer, so explain the process, assuming that there is a process, simple, step by step lingo so I can understand it...

Hello

that your machine came with pre-installed vista, it is classified as a licernce OEM

with the OEM licenses, you change your Motherbaord in conjunction with the computer, in your case HP, Compag maunfacturer, if they are willing to do

the rule with OEM licenses is that the vista software is related to the material of the 1st machine installed on

When the machine dies dies of vista with her license

and the recovery partition to reinstall vista would have required drivers it is to the old motherboard, not the new motherboard

There is no Vista free download legal available.

Contact your computer manufacturer and ask them to send a recovery disk/s Vista set.

Normally, they do this for a cost of $ small.

In addition, ask them if you have a recovery Partition on your computer/laptop to restore it to factory settings.

See if a manual provided with the computer or go to the manufacturer's website, email or you can call for information on how to make a recovery.

Normally, you have to press F10 or F11 at startup to start the recovery process...

Another way I've seen on some models is press F8 and go to a list of startup options, and launch a recovery of standards of plant with it, by selecting the repair option.

Also ask them if it is possible to do the recovery disk/s for the recovery Partition in case of a system Crash or hard drive failure.

A good Vista DVD contains all versions of Vista.
The product key determines which version of Vista is installed.

There are 2 disks of Vista: one for 32-bit operating system, and one for 64-bit operating system.

If install a cleaning is required with a good DVD of Vista (not HP, Dell recovery disks):

Go to your Bios/Setup, or the Boot Menu at startup and change the Boot order to make the DVD/CD drive 1st in the boot order, then reboot with the disk in the drive.

At the startup/power on you should see at the bottom of the screen either F2 or DELETE, go to Setup/Bios or F12 for the Boot Menu

  • How to make a recovery CD for Windows Vista Home Basic?

A friend recently gave me a laptop Acer 5315 to play with (I like to play with the old pc...). It came with Win/Vista Basic Home Edition. I got to level with SP2 and 2, kicking the 2gig memory (this is the limit) and now I want to create a backup/recovery disk. It has a CD inside player, but is limited to CD (not DVD). I've been looking around, but apparently creating a Vista recovery disc without the original install disks is not easy. It's true.

    Anyone have any ideas?

    Hello

Strange that it is limited to the CDs, Vista came on a DVD, unless you have specifically ordered CD from Microsoft if you had a license to retail not OEM...

    Use an external hard drive.

If you want to make a complete PC Backup or a backup file only, buy an external hard drive.

Only Vista professional, comprehensive and company have the opportunity to make complete backups of PC.

All editions of Vista can do backups of files.

  • How to make the recovery for vpcl231fx cd

I want to restart my pc to factory settings and don't know how to do the recovery partition recovery cd. If anyone can help. Thank you

There are two ways to recover your computer system: the recovery Partition and recovery disks.

Where you can create a set of recovery discs before the upgrade? If this isn't the case, then you can try to restore the original Windows 7 operating system and all the software that came from the original factory configuration by accessing the recovery Partition. The recovery Partition are accessible by turn on/off the device with the ASSIST button instead of the power button.

    - Press the ASSIST button when your computer is off to launch VAIO Care Rescue.
If the language selection window, select the desired language, and then click OK.
    - Click Start the Recovery Wizard. To make the custom recovery, select Tools, and then click Start the wizard advanced recovery.
    - Follow the on-screen instructions.

If you cannot start with recovery options, it means only that delete you the recovery partition when you upgraded your operating system. If this is the case, you will need to buy recovery disks to restore the original software.

You can buy recovery disks of Sony parts and accessories or parts distributor authorized Sony

You woud be better to create usb recovery media.

The usb recovery media is durable and provides faster recovery rates that the DVD version is capable of. DVD media recovery takes 2 + hours to complete! Recovery using a USB stick recovery takes less than an hour to complete.

An only scratch on the label side of a DVD of the recovery and the recovery dvd set is useless.

To the following ADDRESS, there are video tutorials that show the details involved for the creation of a USB or DVD recovery media.

    http://support.HP.com/us-en/product/HP-stream-13-notebook-PC/7372147/model/7539081/document/c03481733/

You are allowed to make a copy of the recovery media.  Choose well. You may need a 32 GB USB to create usb recovery media. The price for usb flashdrives fell down there where she is not much more the amount of DVD recordable media. Don't use Sandisk flashdrives. they are known to not be is not compatible with the recovery media creation utility.

  • How to make a recovery for windows disk 8.

Hi, I have a HP Pavilion 15. It comes without an operating system. So I buy Win8 and will do a clean install on my book. But I want to create a recovery partation which holds all the windows files and drivers etc... As a pre installed recovery partition books. I mean that if I ever need to refresh or reset my book, I can do without clean new install and use again all other media.

Creating a system image is good idea but it will sometimes corrupt and some it delete by mistake. I search online, but everyone speaks only how to create a boot able usb recovery disc or a DVD of 253 MB. I hope that I'll find a strong solution here.

  • Web links open in a new tab or a new window, how to make the web link open in my current tab?

I could find ways to do the reverse of this and make the links to open in new tabs, but none that answered this question

It is difficult because the links in a page can work in several ways:

    • no attribute "target" - open in the same tab
    • the value of attribute 'target ':

      • "_blank" - open in a new tab
      • 'name1' (used before and currently open)-replace the page on the tab 'name1 '.
      • 'name2' (not used before or already closed) - open in a new tab
    • script attached to the link to override her normal behavior - a variety of outcomes are possible, including a whole new window

You can try the settings of parameters in this old thread: https://support.mozilla.org/questions/985943
