New packaging OEM of Windows 7

Key is about 1/4 the size of all the previous versions.

Not only that, but it is placed on the polychrome and black code is unreadable.

I have 20/15 vision.  I can't make it out.

Someone should be fired for this.  Seriously.

You can use a magnifying glass or a trusted family member or a friend to help read you.

You can then writes it somewhere for later use if you need it.

  • I have an OEM of Windows Vista version on a dying computer. Can I buy the upgrade for Windows 8 and install it on the new PC, I'm building?

I have an OEM of Windows Vista version on a dying computer. Can I buy the upgrade for Windows 8 and install it on the new PC, I'm building? The upgrade, is published at the same time as I'm rebuilding my PC. I'm just looking to replace my OS. I need Vista.

    Hello

OEM license is tied to the first machine that is installed on the OEM license dies when this machine dies.

An OEM license is not transferable.

And you need a legal edition of Windows, enabled for upgrade.

There is no use, you buy a license upgrade of Windows 8 by itself as you have to upgrade anything of in the new computer, you build...

You can buy a license of Windows 8 when it comes out later this year.

    See you soon.

  • Going to replace my hard drive, I'm unable to use my OEM of Windows Vista 32 - bit with the new drive copy?

I plan to replace my current hard drive (which is functional, but not surprising in the first place) with a Solid State drive, which will help to my Alienware Area-51 m9750 notebook.  I find a reader fully compatible solid state, but I'm not there purchase Alienware.  I'm currently under Windows Vista Home Premium (32 bit), and I still have the recovery DVD used to reinstall the operating system.  I reformatted my hard drive several times using this disc, each time that the deletion of the whole score and starting from scratch.  Every time I did it, I'm never asked to activate my copy of windows, mysteriously turned on when I boot on my new install of Windows for the first time, without even plugging the cable Ethernet first, and my house has no wireless network.

I wonder, if/when I install a new hard drive, will have a different experience somehow in regards to Windows activation?  I'm unable to use my OEM of Windows copy at all?  Alternatively, my windows mysteriously will activate itself without ever seeing the internet as it does now?

I love installing Windows and then do not need to activate it, and I hope I have that experience when I install my new hard drive.

I just want to know what to expect in terms of my ability to use my copy of Vista OEM, and what process I have to go through to make it fully functional.

    Thank you very much!

The physical hard disk (solid state or record) is not serious for the operating system that is installed on.  As long as the drive is a standard interface and does not require special drivers not work (and most don't), you should have no problem.

The recovery disks you are using are set to read specific information about the motherboard and as long as there is this particular information, that it is looking she will be triggered and doesn't have to go online to activate as the retail of Windows is required to do.  The only problem with this type of activation, it's that if the motherboard fails ever it should be replaced with a similar brand and model or autonomous activation fails and the operating system is an OEM version that is related to this motherboard and cannot be enabled on a newer replacement.
  • After upgrading my OEM of Windows 7 to Windows 8 Pro license, can I switch my license of windows 8 to a new pc?

IF I upgrade my license OEM windows 7 to Windows 8 Pro, can I transfer my windows 8 pro license to new PC?

If I need to re - install windows I have to install my copy of Windows 7 oem first and then install the upgrade of windows 8?
I thought that the new license windows 8 would take the place of the old 7 oem?

Well, it does, but you are moving elsewhere, but you cannot benefit from rights eligible OEM Windows 7 license to another machine, because the OEM for Windows 7 license was already tied to the first machine that it has been installed on.

The machine that you transfer the Windows 8 license must have a previous qualification license (XP, Vista, Windows 7, or even Windows 7).

The OEM of Windows 7 versions are identical to the versions commercial full license with the following exception:

-OEM versions don't offer any free direct support from Microsoft technical support Microsoft

-OEM Licenses are tied to the computer first you install and activate it on

-OEM versions allow all hardware upgrades except for an upgrade to a different model motherboard

-OEM versions does not move directly from an older Windows operating system

  • install the new product key for windows 7

answers provided did not work. Someone a bad version of Windows 7 on my computer. I don't have my original activation code any longer. I have the working activation keys that are valid. How can I activate a new key for windows 7?

These keys work product can be Volume license Windows 7 licenses. Their use outside your organization could be in non-compliance. Please contact your IT department or helpdesk if you have home use rights to use.

Otherwise, you might have to purchase a new license of Windows 7.

You can find software OEM System Builder of dozens of online merchants. The current price for OEM Windows 7 Professional Newegg, for example, is $ 140. When I checked a few minutes ago, Amazon offered packages OEM Windows 7 Professional from several vendors at prices ranging from $ 101 to $ 150. When I checked earlier, a package specifically designed for reconditioned PCs cost only $ 50 for a 64-bit copy.

There is no technical limitation to prevent you from using OEM software on your computer, although this software only works for a clean install, not an upgrade. In the past, Microsoft has been remarkably inconsistent in his advice to clients on the question of whether this practice is allowed. (See "is allowed to use Windows OEM on your own PC? Don't ask Microsoft. »)

It would appear that running DirectX files installed on your system were corrupt. This gives a test:
2 follow the instructions which is there to install the package to update DirectX

  • What is OEM embedded Windows 8 key came with everything HP laptop?

Hello everyone I am planing on buying a new HP laptop will be provided with Freedos
    http://support.HP.com/us-en/document/c04077266

I have a copy of the iso of an HP OEM DVD WINDOWS PRO 8.1 that I think I'll install once I get the pc during the search for the drivers for this laptop hp special page, it prompted me to choose compatible for win 7 64 bit or win 8.1 drivers 64-bit.
Second, I heard that newly made hp laptop have embeded authentic and official product in the bios that are more called keys bios so are - it true? and has anyone try?

    so my questions are:

8.1 Windows will be installed on this laptop without problem? and the embeded key will work with windows 8.1 or is it for windows 8.0 only?

    Thank you all.

    Hello

Thanks for posting in the Forum from HP Support.

If you choose the selected model 15-d010sk, it comes with no Windows preinstalled on it, so no Windows embedded key anywhere.

I'm not entirely sure what exactly is this "HP OEM DVD WINDOWS 8.1 PRO" edition

If you choose to buy this one or one that has FreeDOS (a type of Linux) or anyone who has no OS, you can install Windows on your own your edition and license have you already (no key or license accompanying these machines - buy you or get your own).  After installing Windows, you can visit the site of HP and download/install all the drivers and you need for the particular operating system (for example, Windows 7, Windows 8, Windows 8.1, etc.)

Yes, this model has drivers for Win 7 and 8.1 (x 64 Edition) so yes, Windows 8.1 x 64 has to install and works fine without any problems.

  • How to download copy OEM of Windows 8

    Hello

My friend has so a portable license of Windows 8 (embedded BIOS) with Asus S200E computer was purchased with Windows 8 is installed. He had a new hard drive mounted following a failure of the drive. I need get the OEM of Windows 8 version to reinstall Windows. To the best of my knowledge I can't install Windows 8.1 without going through Windows 8, I understood that the Win8 product key will not work with 8.1.

My friend had not bothered to create a recovery partition recovery disk before failure.

I have managed to extract the product key from the BIOS and went to the Microsoft site www.microsoft.com/en-gb/windows-8/upgrade-product-key-only where I have downloaded and run setup.exe windows8

When you are prompted for the product key, I entered the 25-character code that I had extracted from the BIOS. The response was "this product key cannot be used to install a retail version of Windows 8.

You look at the very imperfect and downloader does not license for the OEM. Microsoft has improved since the Downloader to give a Windows 8.1 with update 1 .iso. This new Downloader does not require a product key, so can be used with OEM license. The main trick is to select the correct edition of Windows 8.1 that sometimes 'Windows 8.0/8.1' is sold as 'Windows 8.0/8.1 single language' or ' Windows 8.0 / 8.1N "."» If you are using the correct edition you get your product key screen entry and be taken directly to the screen of the license agreement. If the wrong edition is selected, you will be prompted for a product key. Also, I recommend using Rufus to make a USB Bootable key that will allow you to install to GPT in a UEFI BIOS with active SecureBoot. See here for more details where I demonstrate the procedure on my Dell laptop:

  • No COST for the OEM of Windows 8 version!

When I have no COST for the OEM of Windows 8 version, how can I confirm that I have a pirated version of Windows 8 retail sales provided by the seller or the right OEM with CDKey version in Bios?

For purchases made by my organization can follow.

If hackers are able to decipher the encryption of the BIOS, windows 8 will be sold freely as legal version organizations such as ours. Given that we have provided nothing to verify the authenticity of the operating system.

The thing is, hackers can crack the encryption, taking into account, the system Windows 8 by default uses Secure Boot which makes it extremely difficult to do. The system checks a certificate whenever it starts to ensure that no changes since the last boot. This is the reason why all pirates Windows 8 installed so far should be using KMS activation. He set up of Windows 8 feature BIOS as there was for Windows 7.

With Windows 8, Microsoft changed stickers that have the product key that the user must type in during the installation of the operating system of new embedded BIOS product key. The idea is that by eliminating the tile, you eliminate one of the easiest ways for nefarious users get a legitimate product key. The sticker also eliminating product key removes any concern that the vignette could get damaged while at the same time eliminating the long and irritating the process of typing in various letters and numbers in the installation of the operating system.

If the user has to reinstall the operating system on a computer with Windows 8, the installation process automatically captures key software product of the motherboard BIOS without input from the user. This means that these stickers familiar windows product key will no longer appear on Windows 8 computers.

I have a new HP Envy with Windows 8 desktop computer that still does not run properly. I have rebooted, restored (im doing this), ran chkdsk, sfc/scannow, malware, virus, uninstall/install etc and my machine wil always do not run for a long time without going through some sort of problem after an hour or two.  Can anyone suggest what to do about this? I read a lot of information online on all the windows 8 and fixes bugs, etc, but anything Microsoft/Windows, which ensures its customers, a hotfix or compesating their customers with software that still works. This isn't a hardware problem, and I can't keep day and bad shooting and trying to fix the day things in?

    Sincerely,
A client who is a loss for words.
Here are some problems in no particular order.
1.) apps to not install it, and/or Windows saying they are when they are in fact not. The fix to install / uninstall, or get on the site of windows directly in general does not, and or does not at all.
The change permissions 2.) does not work on files that you should be able to access in changing oxnership, permissions, etc.
3.) Google chrome won't let me access my account of microsoft (or fact rarely) trying to access assistance. But internet Explorer doesn't?
Randomly will increase from Internet 4.) a previous connection wired to wireless to a reboot.
5.) my 8 'key' windows was only shown to me after that I have let Windows scan my machine online? Why? I paid for this... I restarted it and it says: service not available (it worked the third attempt which was 1-3 minutes after the initial analysis). Windows only showed my product ID not the key. I know that my victory. 8 was OEM when preinstalled I bought it new, but why didn't we files on it that had nothing to do with activation, appearing on dates for three weeks, or so before I bought it. What is the 'activation of the factory'?
6 :) Windows Essentials does not hang for a long time, and the troubleshooterprogram of update simply does not work (I had to go to the website to try tp operate, the bluetooth functionality is not good that there is an error.
7.) windows scan and repair gets stuck at 27% (Im not the only one with this problem).
8.), avery MS Office 2013 Disappears so often and not easy to reload "we have encountered a problem.

The computer manufacturer is responsible to see that it works properly with Windows 8. It says that it is a new computer I contact HP and make these problems their. If you don't get satisfactory results I turn and look elsewhere for a computer. Hope this helps and if you need another post to help and we will be happy to help you.
